Tough carp to land

A little help required in landing the unique common carp required for the thanksgiving event chinesse-style carp dish. Given that a unique common carp on Joaquin delta is going to weigh at least 20lbs, how can this fish be caught on a telescopic rod that at best can accommodate line of upto 13lb mated with a suitable reel allowing for 12-13lb max drag. Is it the case that damage to both rod and reel is a necessity by opting for heavier line than both can handle?

I’ve tried fishing from an unanchored boat but that didn’t work. I even opted to equip heavier line than the rods max and equipped a heavier reel. And could only just manage to land a 24.2lb trophy common at the expense of 85% of the durability to my Golden Troy rod.

I really don’t see how it is possible complete this mission and land a unique common on the restrictive gear

Any insight greatly appreciated.

Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong for this one? I need to catch the 33lb+ muskie in Michigan with a shad for the Pike Hunt II challenge. I've watched all the youtube videos and tried everything.

I've fished every peak time in all weathers, I've fished from the left bank, fished from the right bank, fished from a boat, tried different colour shads with different retrieve styles, different speeds...I feel like I've done everything. At the moment I'm on game day 12 and all I've caught is a handful of common muskies, one trophy and a load of northern pike.

Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong? This is driving me nuts.

I was fishing for Pike at Saint Croix with 3 Rods yesterday. Anyone who's fished there will know that the Pike do NOT screw around and nibble. They strike the bait and run like crazy. After landing about 15 fish in like 20 minutes or so, I was interested to see how far I'd progressed with this challenge, only to see that I'm on 2. What's going on here? Are you not allowed to fish with more than one rod? If so, why don't they say so? I did NOT reel in any rod, not even a little after casting. I was clipped at 20 meters and wherever the bait fell, I left it there. I didn't get any weeds or nothing. I cast, put the rod on the stand, wait for the strike and then pulled out the fish, repeat. This challenge seems buggy to me.

while doing the fishing monster mission in japan i lost my colorful squid chain and jig catching the monster marlin. can i buy the lure somewhere or do i have to do all the squid and trolling fish stuff again? please help

Drum hunt

Need to throw another line out for help haha

On the drum hunt challenge you need to catch a Drum in Mudwater 5.6 lb+, I've watched multiple videos (most are grossly out of date) and tried the various spots with the different baits all while switching from casting lure's, bottom rod's and bobber's.... the biggest I've caught was a 2.8 lb.

Anyone have any advice on this?

I started my first thanksgiving event and I’ve already ran into a problem with it, why do i have to use a telescopic rod? They don’t cast far at all, they’re not the best of rods for larger fish like buffalo and catfish, both of these fish live farther out in the water unlike the smaller fish needed to catch, so i hope my question gets answered. As well as why do we HAVE to use golden corn, when its harvested you only get 15, which i honestly think you should get 30, i hope that gets answered as well, also, 12 BAITCOINS?!? why?????

Halloween Event 2024 I'm disappointed

I'm disappointed with this event because you can't buy baits needed for the event with just bank moneys you have to use bait coins.

It took me to long to get the bait coins I have. And I wasted 6 bait coins on the blood fly's because I decided not to finish the event.

I want to use my bait coins for a unlimited license for one of the lakes. And I don't have real money to buy more bait coins. So I guess this event is for those of you that can afford to buy bait coins or just don't care how you use the ones you have? Plus I'm not at a high enough level to complete the event.

Oh well it is what it is, I do enjoy playing the game...

I tried catching the Rainbow Outlaw on Falcon Lake Oregon, after watching some youtube videos I followed all the steps but all my Brown trout eggs was used up on average trout in the lake without catching 1 Monster, is there a way to get more of these Brown trout eggs?

I'm trying to finish the Trout Trophies mission and I need to catch a normal trophy rainbow trout, but all the trophy trout I catch are " Lake Form Trophies " . Is this mission not possible anymore? It seems that all trophy rainbow are now the " Lake Form ". ARRRG!

Just throwing out a suggestion. I think it would be fun if there was repeat challenges to catch every fish at a location, whether an ongoing or daily challenge. Doesn’t even need to be a huge prize, I just think it would be fun to have more of an incentive to keep catching smaller fish at all the locations as well.

why does it always end up costing you ten times more bait coins to do these missions on here like this Christmas one u get one bait coin on a mission that costed you 35 to 40 it just doesn’t make sense and don’t even get me started about the Halloween one that costed me well over a hundred and closer to the 2 hundred mark only to have me fish 5 days straight just to catch one fish only to end before I could catch it so I guess u could say I got screwed ok I’m done ranting now

Monster of lone star and the invisible line

Think this fish needs to be changed, you go and get the Congo rod pack, waste a lot of time getting the heron eggs only to find once you get the duck lure, the rod and reel is not good enough im told the benga fish is not that big but although the rod and reel is capable of getting uni perch over 300lb if that fish runs away no matter what setting every time it runs all your line off, not once did i get the fish to turn no matter what i did just watched the line get taken off 792 just pulled it off, This fish needs to be changed a bit, lost 2 duck lures same thing happened, So now just untracked that fish and put the 2 remaining lures in home, Maybe later once i can buy a decent rod and reel then maybe ill try again ,just seems odd to me that bigger fish you can turn them, takes a bit of time to get them in but this one if it is heading away you may as well stop reeling . I do know of 1 that was lucky to get it in but that was only because it run towards him. very dissapointed with this so called monster

Working on trying to finish the Historical Catcher III achievement and am wondering what's the easiest fish to catch?

I think it's the Butterfly or the Large mouth bass, but am wondering if there are anything else?

Also, is it possible or easier to catch these fishes with non-event lure? I think I caught them before, but haven't used other lures enough to figure what is easier.

Snakehead bite rate at different lakes

Has anyone noticed any differences in bite rate between the lakes? Do they bite more at the higher level lakes? And does it matter which lures you use at which lakes?

I've nearly caught them all now, but I know some people have been complaining the swimbait is slow. I had a hunch it might work better at Marron, but I haven't tried it yet - has anyone else?
