I talked around with lot of people who play FP fairly frequently and one of main topics was that there is not enough tournaments and that wait is too long and max level guys mostly come back for tournaments and some competition here and there. I know there are people who play normal competitions a LOT but it is not many people. Stats can be seen in Comps page when you see how many people registered while every tournament gets 500, even 600+ registrations.

But at the same time, me and everyone I talked about really wanted more tournaments because they are VERY FUN. With increased player numbers in recent times, it would surely help to retain players and to give more entertainment. Custom Competitions are great but they simply cannot measure to tournament structure.

Why not make 2 per month? But they should be a bit different. Like we had: Crappies, Smallmouth, etc... Bring them back into rotation. Or new ones, it doesn't matter. Let us have fun catching smaller fish again and not just giants (most of the time). Crappies was one of my favorite tournaments because it was a massive change of pace and it was extremely fun. Who would have thought that catching such small fish is such fun in tourey environment. Same with Smallies and Bass Open.

There is so many lakes and sooo much fish to make tournaments around. These "secondary" tournaments could even have less rewards (baitcoins). People will play them no matter what are the rewards and you guys can make new Packs for these tournaments.

For start, not even every month should have 2. Start adding them as you see fit and by next year we could have a impressive tournament calendar.

Dunno, just a suggestion. 

I joined the recent World Bass Tournament and was on my way to go to the Semis (Top 10).  I was able to squeeze in one last Unique Bass and had it hooked on my hands with 2 seconds left.  As limited expired, I tried to keep this larger bass by dropping a smaller Unique, but was able to drop the bass, BUT UNABLE to keep the larger bass before the results window show pops up without my last fish.  As a result, I ended up with only 9 fish and dropped like 50+ ranks and failed to qualify.

As this is my first tournament, I didn't know that the time rule is absolute.  I was under the impression that everything counts as long as you have the fish on your hands before the time expired or at least you are allow a little time to put the fish in the net.  Very tough lessons learned! 

I am hoping that developers can make this rule clearer or enable a function to at least allow you to add/drop/replace your fish after time expires.  Another way is to just show the results window AFTER the Fish menu is closed or when you go into Inventory.  It's VERY frustrating of having to just fished 2 hours (and spent even more hours practicing) and go from a MILE HIGH to a DEEP LOW after this experience.

Just thought I vent a little and also share my experience so it doesn't happen to other people.

Anyway, off to Bolivia.  Hope my luck improves and I don't get messed up on technicalities!

Thank you for this great game. I actually managed to make it to the final round in the smallies cup and I ended up on 7th place. And I realized that I actually payed 20k to as a sign in fee and won 6k on 7th place. I believe that everybody who makes it through the qualifier should already be break even. And after each round you should be able to gain a little bit. 6k is actually worth less than the fish sold after the cup so that is a bit out of balance.

I didn't play this Tournament yet (if it was the same last xmas). I don't understand it really...

So for "ease" here is the full description of first qualifier:

Qualifier #1 Information

So it says "catch gigantic Trophy and Unique fish....". But some fish on "Qualifying Fish" are much larger than some so you would just go for the biggest? So how does this go?

Also second qualifier in Michigan has Muskies AND Smallmouth Bass, Walleye... Why catch Smallmouth who only Unique can be larger than requirement? Why catch Walleye when you can catch much larger Pike and Blue Catfish?

Confusing.  I don't know how to approach this tournament for practice. I have read the description 10 times and I can't figure it out except that as always you need to have 10 fish at the end...

I saw one streamer played 3 accounts in qualifier 1 yestoday, and one of them in top 30.

Does it mean multi accounts legally and practically?

Let’s talk about E3 2019 or some similar global tournaments.  Hopefully something will start happening in 2019?  One big topic is if they are heading toward this direction which I’m supporting in general, they need to figure out which is the presentation platform.  What I mean is if they are releasing Xbox version.  That will put PS4 players in pressure and their crowds won’t happy about their decision.  FP will probably lose those players.  If lucky those players might switch platform to supporting FP for the live stage tournament.  Yet, it creates another problem which is their player account.  Lots of video games/esports games/simulator games including FP require player experience in order to upgrade their gears, in game cash, and XP, etc.  It won’t be easy for those players who are following their decision to change platform even those they are the top players.  If FP follows the crowds, which will put the other platform’s players in bad mood.  It depends on how many platforms they will release in the future. If they are only joining E3 or if they are joining a multiply Esports tournaments or invitations for different platforms, or even though have their own live stage tournaments in the future, they will need to make a decision earlier and announce the news earlier for their FP supporters to have enough time to prepare before those big globally Esports tournament happens.  

On the other hand E3 is pretty much a PS4 dominated global event.  All the AAA games are having their supporters there.  In order to get into E3 isn’t easy as well.  I believe if they have enough crowds which they just need to have some adjustments and will be able to join E3.  This shouldn’t be a problem for the FP Dev team.  Of course, they possibly need to communicate with Sony as well and see if they will fully support them in the Esports category.  As Esports is a very new trends nowadays, people also need sometimes to adjusting this new trendy.  It doesn’t matter if it is esports or sports, they need to have enough supporters to make things happen.  

For me, Fishing Planet is very unique which combines technology, simulate of a real sports in a nice and clean created global environment.  Plus, their add-ons and special in-game events and competitions create a upper level of video gaming experience for players to enjoy and explore.  It will be difficult and very expensive for people to travel to all these different countries to explore and fish in real life.  Only FP can create this experience for players.  Also, they always make improvements and listening to their supporters and give enough feedbacks and supports.  I hope FP will last for a long time.  It definitely wins my heart whatever which direction(s) they are heading. 

I will think let them focus on what they have in hand first.  I believe they have something in mind and working toward that direction.  

I as a supporter will always enjoy and continue to give suggestions to FP and make it the greatest and the best fishing game.
