Taken from FB PS4 should get Kayaks update together with the Topwater and Night fishing within the next 1-1.5 month. The update approval cycle takes up to month, not to mention extra time is required to port the new content to console

When you’re ready to upgrade equipment, it might pay to shop around while in the field. Example: Two identical items shown may be purchased for a cheaper amount “On Location” vs. “At Home.” That’s’ a $6030 savings. Obviously, travel expenses, licenses, etc. would factor in but if planned, we might be able to conserve a few bucks when money and/or bait coins are tight. Especially if members see a cheap deal “on location” regarding the higher end equipment and post it here, it might benefit the community. Some items may be included with specific DLC’s as well so it’s wise to read those descriptions closely. Just thinking out loud and thought I’d put this here. EDIT: My apologies, I meant to identify the locations. The cheaper of the two was found in the Alaska store. The other in the home store.

some fish are just too good to let go. Some fish may be so massive you want to keep them or some just have a unique coloration that you find facinating. Regardless of the reason, what if you could but a nice wall aquarium for your favorite catches. Breed the best fish, let them grow up, and release them to the wild for a load of experience or sell them for varied prices depending on their uniqueness and size. In addition to your own nice sized aquarium, you can even purchase a plot of land and dig out your own personal catch and release pond, stream, or even an ecosystem. Slowly upgrade your tank or pond with expensive materials ranging from carpet plants to exotic calcium rocks to really allow your fish to grow into their biggest sizes and most vibrant colorations. Show everyone your fish planet and all of the exotic variations of even the most basic fish in your crystal clear lake full of your best catches from halfway around the world. But be careful, though a fish's behavior isn't totally predictable, some are known to be more aggressive and territorial than others so it may be wise to make sure they enough room to roam or there is a chance that one will become food. This means some fish have randomized personalities but most like to stick to the personality of their specific gene pool

Stock up on those baits while you have the chance, because once they're gone after the event - they're gone.

Don't think i'm not listening to the opinions of the competitors, I am :). Future rules may inspire some changes in how it's done. But once the rules are set as trotta says and everyone enters, those are the rules for the week, The only time a rule change would be made mid competition is if something is totally competition breaking. This is not at this point in time. This doesn't mean it won't change in the future as I've stated in the prior posts. Tight lines everyone

Update: Tested the Aurora 8'2", tho instead of spooling Prima 3500 w/ 10lb test, saw that the EspiraMLR 3000 was 11lb drag so threw 10lb test on it. Works like a charm, casts around 180-190ft, no reduction on everything 3.3lbs & up & the 8.1lb'ers put up a decent struggle. Couldn't break the Uni threshold (8.2lbs) today but thinking Uni' should be a nice fight w/out it being so one-sided. Thanks again for suggestions fellas, as always it's much appreciated!

They posted a steam like for this update. So I guess only steam for now. I wish we could played on ps4 this weekend.

86 lb blue catfish

Lol did the same my first visit, it was one of those ' what's down there? ' moments. The poor Sockeyes on Alaska get dragged over every rock in sight, even had one swim up onto dry land during a fight. IRL I'd have run toward it with half a tree in my hand to bonk it on the head, but this thing kept fighting while up on the beach. So, this game is exactly like real fishing because...when I'm doing my own thing I do great. As soon as I enter a competion, everything goes to shit. I want a tiny Alaska Blackfish..I get the biggest bloody blackfish ever spawned. I catch salmon over 20lb in Alberta, as soon as the comp starts I get Burbot and Perch. I do great in Cali, until a comp starts, then I am the SMB king for 45 minutes. I kinda like it though, big difference between comps and casual fishing. This is also like real fishing because I will lug 6 outfits, my own bodyweight in tackle and gear, enough bait to sink a battleship and then use one outfit all day. Same with lures. Will take 8 boxes and use half a dozen all day. But...they have to be there ' just in case '. This game is like real fishing because it's bloody expensive!
