Grats to all the winners and for those that participated. It was a pretty tough competition and I am not going back to North Carolina anytime soon....that is unless the next forum competition in there...lol.

Well if your just looking to catch snook in general, and I do this alot between peak periods, is spawn into the Salty Delta. Go right of the end of the dock. Notice the tree branches or whatever that is sticking out of the water near the right hand side. Throw you a shinner on a 4/0 hook with a 24" leader right at the branches. You can catch a bunch of 10 to 12 pounders there. I've caught them on bass jigs, plastic worms and 6' crankbaits also. And if you turn left, and throw across to the other side up against the weed bed, you can catch drum with the same float set up, and I've caught em' on plastic worms too. Tinker with the leader length a bit. It might be more around 20".
