  2. I've been playing FP for just over a month now and I was ABSOLUTELY loving it... Until I started trying competitions.. What a freaking joke. The game is so inundated with cheats that there is zero chance for an honest player to win. Is there any effort at all being made by the devs to work on this? Any plans to? Anything?? After dropping a couple hundred bucks into DLC's, premium status, and baitcoin packs I feel like the world's biggest chump. No way to get a refund on anything, no hope of seeing an attempt to correct the problem.. And NOT A CHANCE I will ever recommend this game to anyone!!

  3. I began playing this game maybe a week or so ago. Even got my wife into it. She is not an angler RL, however, I do a lot of fishing in the summer months where i live. Aside from a few bugs that have everything to do with it being a game, there are also a lot of things that in order for the game to be considered the "ultimate simulator" it falls short on. Progressing from level 1 to about 22 wasn't difficult. However there are a lot of things that need be addressed. Below is listed what I have notieed the issues with this game are functionality wise. Drag - Essentially useless. I have noticed absolutely no difference between any of the reels used so far in their specific categories. It does not help to reel fish in, it only serves as a display for line, rod, and reel tension. Fish Tire - Doesnt exist, the only time they move closer, is when they decide to swim towards you, or they jump and you can take in line while they are in the air. Pull - There is no working method of pulling the fish during the fight, other to try and make it change direction. Itemization - Is not progressive. Opening new lakes that require better rods, the rods, or real is available, the correct kg weight lure is not. Bugs: Spinning fish - Multiple times now Ive been out on my kayak, in either at-level, or lower level lakes, Ill hook a fish, itll sit under my boat and spin. Never actually realing in. Fine on release (Valid license) - At times Ill be fined for catching a fish on the "take" list, even after releasing it. I understand that bugs are bugs, that is fine, but those three things above are not helping the game feel like a well-built simulator. I dont like going toa lake, paying for travel and license for a day, only to fight a fish for 30+ minutes, or not be able to catch it at all.

(http://new.gramota.ru/spravka/letters/51-rubric-88)

  7. 45 minutes ago, SabiScs said: so yea Bigben emailed they are just publisher and say the future (game development, bug fix, updates, etc) of the Fisherman is up to FP Devs team! So Bigben blame Fishing Planet devs and Devs blame Bigben lol . They both have shitty support and are both responsible for taking advantage of the supporters of the game .

  8. @Kylerobz I don't expect in a million years to BEAT players who have like 2000 hours in this game. What I do expect is to NOT see the same names over and over winning comps or to see the same people pulling 15 or 20 trophy fish out of the water EVERY SINGLE COMP. It is so blatant. And please, point out to me where in my post that I said that I shouldn't be beaten? Where did I say that I was the uber angler-woman of the free world? Oh, wait... I didn't. I, as Rotacomando, pointed out, go into comps with the sole purpose of learning the different game mechanics as opposed to open play. I entered the Trout tourney. No thought of winning, just to see how the game differs during competition. You entirely missed my point, Kylerobz.. I wasn't complaining about losing. I was complaining about the OBVIOUS hacks and cheats going on in this game.

  9. Firewalker1946 is right. Competitions ARE broken. I'm not level 50 yet, and from a new player standpoint, what's the point? If you don't have an HONEST chance at winning a tourney or competition, why bother even entering? And... if the game owners don't care enough to stop the cheating, then are they a company I want to invest my time and money with?

  10. the cheating only gets worse and worse. the crappie tournament was a joke. the top 20 everyday caught 20 trophies. i'm level 50 and fish all day everyday as i'm handicapped with nothing else to do. it's impossible to catch what these people are catching every event without cheating. i keep hoping fishing planet will do something but it's apparent they will not.

  11. So i just finished a comp, a 45 minute catfish one in Louisiana ._ caught fish all the way thru, and the top guy had double my score! My point being is there some ai predetermined before a comp starts? If there isnt then sometin real fishy is goin on. No pun intended._.

  12. Here is how I really feel about all of this. I love this game, the competitions, and just plain having this game as a substitute for Real fishing. Now, when it comes to comps, I do not believe the game is out to get me, or that it favors certain people. If people want to use multi accounts or cheat or whatever, then fine. Just remember being great and being a great cheater are not the same. In the end, the cheater knows they cheated and in their heart, their scores are not genuine. Cheaters have to live with being a cheater, until they stop. No sweat off my back. When I get bad results in comps it really stinks because I am so competitive. I am a competitor at heart and just can't get enough of these fishing comps. So here is the moral of the story: I quit that comp and went and ate dinner, I lost 15 points X[ - but I went ahead and did the bowfin comp (which was next) and got a new pb score and earned 6 points. I will not stop doing these comps, even if I have a terrible result on occasion. Here is my theory on comps: do them, do lots of them, keep doing them, keep your head up even when things go bad, keep doing comps, keep learning, and keep having fun - good results will become consistent with this method of being competitive. You have to put in the time to start to place good in comps or even win (I have 3 wins). Even after you have won a comp, don't expect to keep those results each time you play. After a while you become better at turning bad days around. If comps is why you play this game and you hate the way comps go, then quit. If you starting playing this game for fun, found more fun in the game by competiting, and then get frustrated with comps, just go back to fishing. I may express concern about certain things here with the game, but overall I love it. I will not stop playing comps, I will not stop playing because of cheaters, and I will not stop playing cause I don't win.

  13. Unfortunately - and I've said this since I started playing and yet to be rebuked - everything you know about the game is irrelevant when it comes to competitions. They have their own, different, rules and the only way to learn is to compete and learn. Some of the guys here do that, and they have my respect for putting the time in. Others use multiple accounts to play the same competition several times over and over to maximise their chances of placing. They do not have my respect. In essence, to stand a chance in competitions and tourneys you have to learn 2 different games. This has long been a bugbear of mine - everything I have learnt about the game becomes redundant in a competition. Some of the top players will just say I'm jealous. I'm really not, I don't do comps anymore. Because they are total B/S. In any given competition, myself, BJtater, Hateful, Tmif and loads of others should stand a good chance given our combined knowledge. Instead, everything we know becomes redundant. The last I heard, a competition should have a random winner. FP competitions do not fit that description.
