Hey Anglers, The whole Fishing Planet team is passionately working on the new features. This season will definitely be exciting for all players. We are delighted to open the curtain slightly and tell you more about what's coming on the air in the following months. Today we will briefly introduce Clubs, Saltwater Location, New Fishing Mechanics, and Fishing Together. These features are tremendous and highly anticipated, so we decided to make it a series and dedicate one of the upcoming diaries to each segment. So stay tuned; we have lots to share. But first of all, we want to say thank you to our Community! Your feedback is the basis for the development of The Fishing Planet game. You inspire us to push the boundaries and keep converting the passion for online fishing we all share into our game. Now let's jump in and review every new feature we prepare for you. Saltwater location As you know, we are working non-stop on our first Saltwater location. There is a lot of hype about it, and many of you have tried to guess where it will be on the globe. Let's see whose guess was the closest Our future location is a water area around a small island in the southeastern part East China Sea. Fishing on this island is possible all year round due to the warm climate, but autumn and spring are considered the most favorable times as typhoons might occur in the region in summer, and fish activity decreases in winter. The East China Sea around the island has a significant water exchange with the Philippine Sea and the Pacific Ocean, so you can expect incredible biodiversity and exciting challenges in catching all the fish. Saltwater is on its way. We look forward to telling and showing you more about it and will dedicate one of our next DevDiaries. New fishing mechanic There is one more thing we are very excited to implement in Fishing Planet, new fishing mechanics - pulling-up. The angler can easily spin the reel at maximum speed when fishing for small fish. However, as the size of the fish increases, it becomes more and more difficult to spin the reel. A certain threshold occurs when the force is applied at a heavy load. We are doing our best to reduce side effects and expand your fishing experience by bringing in a new pulling-up mechanic. Upgrade your skill set with a new pumping technique and catch the biggest fish like a pro. Fishing together We create a new type of boat for sea fishing with additional characteristics. Most importantly, new boats must be more significant and faster than the existing models because they must be stable in open water conditions of the ocean and sea. Having the bigger boat at your disposal means you can take your friends on board and go on the fishing adventure together. And last but not least, we prepared for your few really useful updates! Clubs With this new feature, you will be able to create your own clubs and hold regular events. Undoubtedly, it will help you connect with your friends and fishing enthusiasts to experience the world of online fishery to the fullest. Team up with a name and logo, create the unique identity of your club, and share your knowledge and experience. While fishing together in your club room, you will be gaining experience points but also will be able to help your mates out by exchanging baits and fish markers. Just like in real life, fishing with your friends becomes an event you are looking forward to where you can strategize, exchange your knowledge, and, of course, get lots of fun hanging out with like-minded people. This massive feature is in its final stages of development, and you will get to it in the upcoming months. Anti-cheat improvements The last feature might sound less exciting than the previous ones at first, but it's extremely important to the overall impression. Due to the increase in the number of cheating and exploiting the game mechanics, we have completely revised our anti-cheater policy and improved the anti-cheater system in the game, including crucial technical improvements. Thank you all for your reports and suggestions and for helping us improve Fishing Planet! The Fishing Planet Team is here to keep developing the best fishing simulator in the world, and we are incredibly grateful to our Community for sharing this passion! We thank you for bringing your impact to the table by giving us feedback, reporting bugs, being active in the Community, and sharing your knowledge with fellow players. In the upcoming DevDiaries we will get back to you with more information about new features! Stay tuned.6 points

Hey, anglers! Welcome to the second diary of our diary series about the upcoming updates! Today we introduce the upcoming feature we put lots of energy and passion into. With the positive feedback we have received after briefly announcing it in the previous diary, we are very excited to tell you more about Clubs. In-game friends identification and playing together is certainly very important to all players so we decided to create a new tool and an opportunity for you to manage your own friend’s environment in Fishing Planet. So anglers, get ready! If your rod is cast while reading, don’t forget about the bell so you don’t miss your fish, and let’s dive deeper into the Club community! Introducing the Clubs! We had an idea of creating clubs since the beginning of Fishing Planet, and it was our must-have feature that we were exploring, developing and polishing. We took our time to make it useful, convenient and fun for every member of the Fishing Planet family. Now we will explain a bit about what you will get with the release of Clubs. Clubs will give you the opportunity to be in touch with your fishing friends and like-minded people all around while playing Fishing Planet while sharing a great time and creating your fishing history together. They are built for players to interact with each other in a virtual environment as if they would go on a fishing trip together. Joining a Club you will have an expanded range of communication features, for example, a special chat where you can exchange baits and marker buoys. You’ll also get a unique club room for fishing together, which allows you to receive an additional experience bonus for catching fish! As we mentioned before, the most important benefit will be a chance to start building a friendly community or join the existing one. While browsing the list of clubs, you will learn more about them from the short description, including the country of origin, which will make it easier to choose the most suitable community. When creating a new Club, first of all, you will need to select a Club Name and add a Description. An important recognition sign for every Club will be the Club Logo. It will help to visually recognize players and their friends inside Fishing Planet and highlight their unique fishing community. The logo can be created by using an in-game club logo editor with all available elements in it. After creating your Club, any player can be invited to join. All club members will be able to invite new players. Club membership will be available for all players with no level restriction, but creating a club is only available to players of level 5 and higher. Also, please be aware that the minimum level of club members is determined by the Club President when the club is being created. The chat will be another huge advantage of participating in clubs. It only includes the club members so that all clubmates are always in touch. Clubs in Fishing Planet are created for groups of players who come together to socialize, collaborate and participate in various activities, it is also an ongoing adventure and a place to grow your skills and progress together. The club you join will become a perfect space to share fishing information and experience between members. Clubs are very important to us. This is the project of our dear colleague, who put his heart into this update. Volodymyr Egov, who designed clubs and leagues, was killed defending Bakhmut, Ukraine. We are heartbroken but not stopped because making his ideas happen is one of the ways for us to celebrate his life and continue his legacy. We hope it will become a platform for connecting players with different skills, knowledge and level with the main goal of experiencing fishing on a new level! The Сlubs are in its final stages of testing and improvement and coming in a few weeks. So, these are the first steps in introducing clubs to you guys, but what’s coming after is even more exciting! There will be competitive activities among clubs, which will be rewarded with exciting prizes. In order to run these activities, there must be a lot of clubs. This is why we really count on your active involvement because there is so much more to come! We hope you like the clubs as much as we do, and we’ll be able to launch a Club League Season very soon!5 points

Hey Anglers, Welcome to the Third Diary of our diary series about the upcoming updates! We want to introduce you to Pulling-up, a new fishing mechanic we are very excited to implement. As our mission is to create a fishing experience that is as close to real life as possible, we constantly improve our in-game fishing techniques and create new fishing opportunities for our players. An angler can easily reel in the line at maximum speed when fishing for small fish. However, as the size of the fish increases, it becomes more and more difficult to spin the reel. A certain threshold occurs when force is applied to a heavy load, so our point is to reduce side effects and expand your fishing experience by bringing in a new pulling-up mechanic. Pulling up consists of constant, repeatable actions of sharply pulling the line, losing the line, reeling in the loose line and pulling it sharply again. There are a few ways to pull the line sharply: Sharply raise the rod up (RMB (PC), LT (XBOX), L2(PS)) Body rotation (mouse movement (PC), right stick of the controller (PS/Xbox) Character movement (character movement buttons (PC), left controller stick (PS/Xbox)) When fishing for a heavyweight fish, it is very important to safely take it out of the water. In such cases, we commonly use a landing net. Landing Net For fish over 5 kg, there will be a net landing system, as it is necessary to make sure big fish is caught safely. The landing net will become an integral part of the inventory and will be available to every player starting from level 1. It is an important and much-needed update, as with the release of ocean fishing, there will be a lot of big fish!! Upgrade your skill set with a new pumping technique and catch the biggest fish like a pro!4 points

Hey there fellow Angler, Imagine it’s spring, and the weather is warm. The cool season has passed, although the rainy season hasn't started yet. The water is heating up fast, causing fish to become more active and move closer to the shores. The Pacific Bluefin Tuna spawning season starts. Excitedly, you gather your friends for a fishing expedition to a small Japanese island. As you prepare, you need to ensure you have all the necessary tackles to reel in the abundant fish awaiting you in this picturesque location. Take the time to study fish range, habitats, diet, lifestyle, and fishing methods to make the most out of this adventure. This DevDiary will help you in planning your trip and maximizing your fishing experience in Japan. Naturally, when you think of this region, Tuna comes to mind first! In this location, you'll encounter six types of tuna — well, technically five, but we'll get to that later. Tuna are highly valued and prized on local markets for their quality in sushi and sashimi. Yellowfin Tuna The Yellowfin Tuna (Thunnus albacares), a big pelagic fish of the tuna genus, roams temperate and tropical waters across all oceans. These highly migratory creatures form schools with other tunas, such as skipjack and bigeye, and often swim alongside dolphins. During the day, they prefer deeper waters but come closer to the surface at night. With impressive dimensions of up to 440 lbs (200kg) and 8.2 feet (2,5 m) in length, they're constantly on the move, feeding actively day and night, seldom diving below 880 feet (100m). Their diet includes small fish, crustaceans, and squid. Yellowfin Tuna are prolific breeders, capable of reproduction year-round. Bigeye Tuna The Bigeye Tuna (Thunnus obesus) shares similarities with the Yellowfin tuna in size, diet, and behavior. However, unlike its closest relatives, Yellowfin and Skipjack Tuna, the Bigeye is known for its longevity, often reaching over 15 years of age. In contrast, Yellowfin Tuna typically live for about 7-8 years at most. Pacific Bluefin Tuna The Pacific Bluefin Tuna (Thunnus orientalis) inhabits warm and moderate waters of the North Pacific Ocean, although it's exceptionally rare in the southern regions. As the largest tuna species in the Pacific and second largest globally (after the Atlantic), it can grow up to an impressive 9 feet (3m) in length and weigh over 880 lbs (400kg). Typically, Pacific Bluefin Tuna don't venture below 650 feet (200m). Known for their great appetite, they prey on a diverse range of small schooling fish, squid, and crabs. Longfin Tuna (Albacore) The Albacore (Thunnus alalunga) is distinguished by its notably long pectoral fins. Found in temperate and tropical regions across all oceans, it can grow up to 132 lbs (60kg) in weight. With a remarkable ability to roam from the surface to depths of nearly 2000 feet (600m), Albacore are constantly in motion, actively feeding day and night like their tuna counterparts. What sets Albacore apart is their dietary preference for cephalopods, especially squid, although they also consume fish, crustaceans, and jelly-like organisms. Albacore meat is considered superior quality and the finest among all tuna varieties. Skipjack Tuna The Skipjack Tuna (Katsuwonus pelamis) is a schooling pelagic fish, distinguished as the sole member of its genus. Widely distributed across temperate and tropical regions of all oceans, it's relatively small, with a maximum weight of 77 lbs (35kg). In behavior and lifestyle, the Skipjack closely resembles the Yellowfin Tuna, often forming massive schools with them that can number up to fifty thousand individuals, including young specimens. Feeding primarily on small fish, squid, and crustaceans found in surface waters, Skipjack Tuna are a vital commercial species, topping the charts as the most caught tuna worldwide. Dogtooth Tuna The Dogtooth Tuna (Gymnosarda unicolor) is a large pelagic fish belonging to the Gymnosard genus. Despite its name, it's not actually a true tuna but resembles one externally. Found in the warm waters of the Indo-Pacific region, it inhabits depths ranging from 33 to 1000 feet (10 to 300m). This formidable predator prefers to lurk near reefs, underwater rocks, and steep cliffs. With lengths reaching up to 8.2 feet (2.5m) and weights up to 287 pounds (130kg), it commands respect in its habitat. Competing fiercely for food with other fish, including sharks and groupers, the Dogtooth Tuna hunts solo or in small groups. Its diet primarily consists of small schooling fish and squid. During the fight, it puts up a formidable resistance, often attempting sharp dives to the depths in an effort to break free by rubbing the fishing line against bottom objects. The tackle for fishing all types of tuna remains quite similar. Anglers favor Finger Mullets, Scaled Sardines, Japanese Flying Squid, Japanese Jack Mackerel, and Japanese Anchovy as preferred baits, along with Plugs, Trolling Octopus, Squid Chain, Crankbaits, Minnows, Medium Spoons, and Poppers as preferred lures. When it comes to fishing methods, trolling stands out as the top choice for targeting any tuna species. We've covered tuna, so now let's explore the other fish species found in this region. We've covered tuna, so now let's explore the other fish species found in this region. Giant Grouper Giant Grouper (Epinephelus lanceolatus) is a large demersal fish of the Serranidae family. It inhabits coastal waters at depths up to 330 feet (100m). It can reach the length of 8.9 feet (2.7m) and the weight of up to 882 lbs (400kg). The Giant Grouper is a predator that is not picky about food and prefers ambush hunting. Spiny lobster is its favorite food. It also feeds on crabs, a variety of fish (including small sharks and rays), and young sea turtles. It’s better to use bottom tackle with large animal bait to catch it. Preferred baits: Japanese Spiny Lobster, Gutted Fish, Large Fish Strips, Crab, Japanese Jack Mackerel, Scaled Sardines. Ruby Snapper The Ruby Snapper (Etelis carbunculus) is a demersal fish found in the Indo-Pacific region, belonging to the Lutjanidae family. It thrives near rocky reefs, typically dwelling at depths ranging from 300 to 1300 feet (90-400m), with a minimum depth of 33 feet (10m). It can grow up to 77 lbs (35kg) in weight. Feeding on fish, squid, crustaceans, and cephalopods, the Ruby Snapper often forms small groups. It's commonly caught using bottom or jig tackle, with shiny and luminous elements attracting this species. Preferred baits include Medium Fish Strips, Large Fish Strips, Crab, Japanese Jack Mackerel, Scaled Sardines, and Japanese Flying Squid, while Pilkers are favored as lures to reel in this fish. We believe that Ruby Snapper can take part in the Prettiest-fish-in-the-game contest and have all the chances to win. What do you think? Green Jobfish The Green Jobfish (Aprion virescens) is another bottom-dwelling species found in the waters of Kaiji No Ri. Belonging to the Lutjanidae family, it inhabits the Indo-Pacific region, favoring coastal areas near rocky and coral reefs, as well as channels and deep lagoons at depths ranging from 3 to 400 feet (1-120m). It can weigh up to 35 lbs (16kg). Feeding primarily on fish, the Green Jobfish also consumes crustaceans, cephalopods, and zooplankton. It may lead a solitary life or form small groups. Bottom and jig tackle are most effective for catching it. Preferred baits include Sea Worms, Shrimp, Gulf Shrimp, Crab, Japanese Jack Mackerel, Japanese Anchovy, Finger Mullets, and Scaled Sardines. Pilkers are the preferred lure for attracting this fish. Mahi-Mahi Mahi-Mahi (Coryphaena hippurus), also known as Common Dolphinfish, is a predatory medium-sized pelagic fish. It is very common in tropical and subtropical waters of all oceans. It can reach up to 88 lbs (40kg) in weight and more than 6.5 feet (2m) in length. This fish lives and hunts near the surface in the open ocean. Its young flock into small groups, and large fish lead a solitary lifestyle. It feeds on zooplankton, flying fish, mackerel, squid, and crabs. It hunts during the day, but can also be active on bright nights. You can spot the location of Mahi-Mahi on the high seas thanks to birds, Sargassum algae, and a variety of debris that float on the surface and around which forage fish gather. You can catch it by casting and high-speed trolling with artificial lures, as well as live bait. Preferred baits: Grub, Gulf Shrimp, Finger Mullets, Scaled Sardine, Japanese Jack Mackerel, Japanese Anchovy, Japanese Flying Squid. Preferred lures: Bucktails, Plugs, Crankbait, Minnows, Popper, Walke, Medium Spoon, Bullet Spinner,Trolling Octopuses. Striped Marlin The Striped Marlin (Kajikia audax) is a formidable pelagic predator inhabiting the surface layers of tropical and temperate waters across the Indo-Pacific region. It can potentially grow up to 496 lbs (225kg) in weight and length surpassing 13 feet (4m). Preferring a solitary existence, Striped Marlins exhibit a unique behavior of cooperative hunting, where multiple individuals target the same prey schools. This nocturnal predator is most active during the night, often seen breaching the water's surface in pursuit of its prey. Feeding primarily on schooling fish and cephalopods, Striped Marlins are sought after by anglers using trolling techniques with artificial lures or live bait. Preferred baits: Finger Mullets, Scaled Sardines, Japanese Jack Mackerel, Japanese Anchovy, Japanese Flying Squid. Preferred lures: Plugs, Trolling Octopuses, Squid Chain, Crankbait, Minnows. Greater Amberjack The Greater Amberjack (Seriola dumerili) reigns as the largest member of the Carangidae family, boasting weights exceeding 176 lbs (80kg) and lengths surpassing 6 feet (1.8m). Thriving in tropical, subtropical, and warm temperate waters, this semi-pelagic predator is a formidable force. Living mostly by the deep-sea structures like caves, reefs, and shipwrecks, the Greater Amberjack sustains itself on a diet of fish, cephalopods, and crustaceans. Known colloquially as the "reef donkey" for its tenacious fighting spirit, it's often encountered as bycatch during bottom fishing expeditions alongside Snappers and Groupers. To reel in this prized catch, anglers employ trolling and casting techniques, utilizing both live baits and artificial lures. Preferred baits: Gulf Shrimp, Crab, Finger Mullets, Scaled Sardines, Japanese Jack Mackerel, Japanese Anchovy, Japanese Flying Squid, Medium Fish Strips, Large Fish Strips. Preferred lures: Pilkers, Bucktails, Plugs, Trolling Octopuses, Medium Spoons, Crankbaits, Minnows, Poppers. Japanese Amberjack (Yellowtail) Japanese Amberjack (Seriola quinqueradiata) is a medium-sized schooling pelagic predatory fish of the Carangidae family, also known as Yellowtail. It inhabits open and coastal waters of Japan, Korea, Taiwan. This fish can reach up to 88 lbs (40kg) in weight and 5 feet (1.5m) in length. It feeds on small schooling fish in all layers of water. During the day it tends to stay at a greater depth than at night. Yellowtail is highly valued in Japan as a fish for sushi and sashimi, as well as for canning. Japanese Amberjack is often caught as a bycatch during bottom fishing, and can also be caught with trolling or casting. It responds well to fast retrieval with strong and frequent tossing of the bait in the water. Preferred baits: Shrimp, Finger Mullets, Scaled Sardines, Japanese Jack Mackerel, Japanese Anchovy. Preferred lures: Pilkers, Bucktails, Minnows, Medium Spoon, Narrow Spoon, Bullet Spinner, Soft Baits (Grubs, Shads). Giant Trevally Giant Trevally (Caranx ignobilis) is a large coastal semi-pelagic fish that is common in tropical and subtropical waters of the Indo-Pacific region. It’s the largest representative of its kind, reaching 176 lbs (80kg) in weight and 6.5 feet (2m) in length. Its young live in shallow bays, lagoons, intertidal zones, and estuaries, while adults live in deep pools, near atolls in the open sea, and on deep water reefs. This fish is territorial and leads a solitary life, but sometimes creates small groups. It hunts around the clock and in all layers of water, but prefers to spend most of the time at the bottom. The Giant Trevally feeds mainly on fish, crustaceans, cephalopods, and doesn’t mind carrion fish. You can successfully catch it with the bottom and spinning tackle. Preferred baits: Gulf Shrimp, Crab, Finger Mullets, Scaled Sardines, Japanese Jack Mackerel, Japanese Anchovy, Japanese Flying Squid, Medium Fish Strips, Large Fish Strips. Preferred lures: Pilkers, Bucktails, Crankbait, Minnows, Medium Spoon, Popper, Walker, Soft Baits (Grubs, Shads). Resembling a cuttlefish due to its long fins, it's commonly found in the temperate and tropical waters of the Pacific and Indian Oceans. Inhabiting depths of up to 330 feet (100m) near coastlines, particularly around rocks and coral reefs, this squid tends to gather in groups and remains active day and night, although it may be less active during daylight hours. As a voracious predator, its diet consists mainly of crustaceans and small fish, and it forages in shallow and deep waters across all layers. Anglers can catch the Bigfin Reef Squid year-round using a spinning rod equipped with squid and jig lures. Preferred baits: Shrimp, Gulf Shrimp,Finger Mullets, Scaled Sardine, Japanese Jack Mackerel, Japanese Anchovy. Preferred lures: Pilkers, Squid Jigs Here’s the list of all the fish species you'll encounter in the waters of Kaiji No Ri, but that's not all we have prepared for you! As mentioned earlier, the upcoming ocean map will be over 20 times bigger than all the other maps in the game combined. As you can see from the fish guide above, there will be a significant presence of highly migratory fish species in this expansive location. The ocean update comes packed with several major features that are entirely new to the game and one of them, which we've dubbed Fish Active Zones, will provide anglers with valuable hints on where to find feeding grounds, the areas where fish gather to feed on bait fish, plankton, or other food sources. These areas are typically characterized by natural features or phenomena that attract fish, such as underwater structures, currents, temperature changes, or concentrations of prey. For example, seabirds such as seagulls often hover or dive over areas where fish are feeding near the surface. Such behavior indicates the presence of baitfish being chased by larger predatory fish. In such hotspots you'll witness different species of tuna leaping out of the water to hunt small fish. We won’t reveal all the secrets now to ensure your adventure remains unspoiled when the ocean map is released, but to give you an idea of the feature's complexity, the Fish Active Zones will dynamically change based on factors such as weather, time of day, and other natural elements, mirroring real-life conditions. Last but not least, we've covered the fish you can catch, but there's more. While cruising on your yacht through the ocean, you'll encounter pods of dolphins and majestic whales breaching the surface. These ocean creatures will not only add to the thrill of your stay, but they'll also serve other purposes, which you'll discover later on. We feel your anticipation for the ocean update, and we share your excitement! Your support and attention mean the world to us as we work to bring you this new experience. Stay tuned for our next DevDiary, where we'll explore the Kaaiji No Ri location and its new features in more detail. Dear Fishing Planet Community, Today is a deeply meaningful day for us as a Ukrainian team, and we’re excited to share a special announcement close to our hearts. We want to pull back the curtain on our upcoming location—the mighty Dnipro River near Kherson, Ukraine, a place of incredible natural beauty and resilience. Many of you know about the ongoing war in Ukraine. In February 2022, russia launched a full-scale invasion, occupying parts of the East and South of Ukraine. Kherson, a southern city close to the vast Dnipro River, was seized in the early days of the invasion. For nine long months, the people of Kherson lived under oppression, yet they never gave up. They resisted, they protested, and on November 11, 2022, the city was liberated by the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Even today, though, Kherson remains under constant missile threat. The Dnipro River, a symbol of Ukraine’s strength, flows through Kherson, and we’ve long dreamed of creating a Ukrainian location inspired by the landscapes and spirit of our home. We wanted to preserve and share its beauty as it was in times of peace. Sadly, the war has scarred this place; in their retreat, russian forces destroyed a major dam, flooding vast areas and triggering an ecological disaster. In the face of this, we’re determined to honor the spirit of Ukraine and the enduring beauty of the Dnipro. Our upcoming location captures the river’s serenity and vibrancy before all the destruction, offering you a chance to experience a place that means the world to us. It’s a place our team has known and loved since childhood, filled with memories and a connection to the natural wonders that we grew up with. This is only a first look—we’re preparing a detailed DevDiary to show you everything that’s coming. New fish species, a new fishing mechanic, and a piece of Ukraine’s landscape are all on the way, crafted with love and dedication. We aim to release this location by the end of the year as a special Christmas gift to our players. Thank you for being part of this journey with us. This project is dedicated to the brave defenders of our Homeland and to the memory of those who have given their lives for Ukraine. It is because of their courage and sacrifice that we are able to continue our work today. Stay tuned for a more detailed announcement coming soon—we can’t wait to share more about this special location with you!2 points

When we set out to create the ocean map, we weren't aiming to just add a new location in Fishing Planet. Our ambition was to go big. We wanted players to feel like they were stepping into a whole new world, with endless possibilities and giant fish waiting to be caught. But let us tell you, turning that dream into reality wasn't easy. In fact, sometimes we joke that it would have been faster and easier to build a whole new game from scratch! And that joke is actually not too far from reality. Now, after months of hard work, we're getting closer to the finish line, and it's been quite the journey. Today we're excited to present a new addition to our DevDiary series for you to take a closer look at the location and some of the new features accompanying it. Sit back and enjoy! Discovering the immensity You already know that the new location is going to be massive. We've discussed its size in previous DevDiaries — it's set to span 20 by 20 km, totaling 400 square kilometers, or roughly 40,000 hectares, which is almost 100,000 acres. To give you a sense of scale, we previously attempted to estimate these dimensions by comparing them to all our other Fishing Planet locations combined and multiplied at least by twenty. Now, however, you can see for yourself with the following image. Take a peek at all of our locations gathered in the upper left corner. We're confident you'll recognize some of your favorite maps by their outlines. Now, let's zoom in for a closer look in the picture below. We've highlighted the Mudwater River for you with a red square so you can see it up close and truly grasp the enormity of the new map. Remember, when it comes to fishing, it's the size of the water surface that matters, so disregard the green areas on the maps. Take a moment to appreciate just how much blue there is on the new map, showcasing the vastness of the saltwater waiting for you at the Kaiji No Ri location. Ocean water: mastering the waves When it comes to video games, graphics play a crucial role, particularly in simulators. In Fishing Planet, water constitutes 90% of our graphics. Water is an incredibly complex element, like nothing else in the real world. Freshwater and saltwater have distinctly different physics, appearance, and behaviors. This is one of the reasons why crafting a saltwater location felt close to developing an entirely new game – we had to build 90% of the graphics from scratch. We're proud to say that we like the outcome of our efforts. We've created different water shapes and technologies for various platforms - mobile, consoles, and PC. It actually consists of three different types of water, which are significantly different in terms of calculations, although they may appear the same. Some of them were created using the Gerstner wave formula, while others utilized FFT (Fast Fourier Transform) and tessellation technology to ensure the most realistic approach. Calculating buoyancy was a challenging task given the variety of water technologies involved, but we've managed to do it. The appearance of the water also varies significantly depending on the weather and time of day, yet it maintains its stunning and remarkably realistic quality, whether it's day or night, sunny or cloudy. The ocean isn't always serene; sometimes, storms brew, and waves grow sharp and tumultuous. For such occasions, we've developed a special water dynamic. And let us tell you, this one's our favorite! No kidding, the ocean turned out so realistic that after our first trips, some of us even felt a bit dizzy! The water you see in the videos above isn't the final version yet. We're still refining and enhancing small details to make it look as realistic as possible. It's also important to mention that optimizing such an expansive water mass is crucial to ensure all players can enjoy it across various platforms and devices. Therefore, our developers pay special attention to it. Control panel and devices If you've checked out the Fish Species Guide for our upcoming location, you already know that the majority of fish species in this area are highly migratory, covering many kilometers each day. With such vast movements influenced by natural factors like weather, wind, time of day, and depth, it will take anglers quite some time to study fish behavior. But fear not! We've got you covered. Introducing brand new Echo Sounders and Fish Finders installed on all saltwater boats, along with a comprehensive GPS navigator map built right into the boats themselves, ensuring convenience for all the anglers. As you can see in the videos, the depth varies significantly. With the Echo Sounder, you'll have visibility of the depth and bottom relief beneath the boat, and different depth zones can be identified on both the Fish Finder and the GPS navigator. The Echo Sounder will display fish directly beneath your boat, while the Fish Finder will detect fish in a wider radius around your location. The Fish Finder also displays fish across different layers - upper, middle, and bottom - helping you determine the most suitable tackle to use. Indeed, certain spots on the map are teeming with fish, tempting you to cast your rods non-stop! Sea Life Simulation System Another addition tailored specifically for the saltwater location is the Sea Life Simulation System. Mirroring real-life phenomena, when tuna schools pursue smaller fish, they drive them towards the surface, attracting flocks of seagulls eager to snatch their share. Fishing in these spots promises excitement, with tuna leaping out of the water just as they do in reality! We’ve made sure to provide anglers with clues on locating bottom-dwelling fish on the map. While they won't be leaping out of the water like tuna, there will be other indicators of where to find them in the location. These hints are left for you to discover, when the map is released. Navigation Buoys We mentioned earlier the GPS navigation built into the boats, but there will also be already familiar to you Tablet with the map and other useful features. Given the vast size of the location, traveling from one end to the other can take quite some time. To simplify navigation, we've created the Navigation Buoys for saltwater locations. These special buoys allow you to mark your favorite spots and teleport directly to them, streamlining your journey. Setting a Navigation buoy is simple: travel to the desired location, open the map, and click the plus button. The buoy will mark the spot instantly. If you wish to travel to any of your Navigation Buoys, simply click on it and hit the button. You'll be instantly transported right there! But Navigation Buoys don’t only exist on the Tablet navigation map, they are real objects in the water. You will be able to see them when you are passing by. At night Navigation Buoys illuminate with red light, making them visible from afar. You can also enjoy the sight of stars in the night sky, with the lighthouse and port lanterns adding to the ambiance. These features take extra time, but it was important for us to create a cozy atmosphere for nighttime fishing. Picture yourself stepping onto that boat in the hazy dawn, starting the engine, and gliding slowly and silently out of the marina. Then, as you gain momentum, you cut through the waves and venture into the vast open ocean! We appreciate how much you're looking forward to this update, and we're working tirelessly to bring it to life. It is crucial for us to ensure that the experience you have in this location is everything we envisioned for you and we thank you for holding tight until it’s released. Keep an eye out for the next DevDiary, where we'll delve into the details of saltwater tackles and gear. Until then, tight lines, and enjoy your fishing adventures! P.S. Just a little treat for you We know you've always wanted to approach those yachts and ships that you can see in the distance at various locations in the game, and at Kaiji No Ri, you'll finally have the chance! For example, there will be Cruise Ships in Japan. You can sail to one, take a close look from all angles, sail alongside it and… …even crash into it! We know you wanted to try it! Have fun! ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Follow us on social media to stay tuned and be in touch with our lovely community: Discord Facebook Group Steam Community Read previous DevDiaries on the ocean update: DevDiary: Fishing Together DevDiary: Kaiji No Ri Fish Species Guide You are always welcome to ask for help in our support: support@fishingplanet.com *All visual content in this DevDiary is crafted to showcase the upcoming features; however, there may be slight differences upon the actual release of the update2 points

As we near the final stages of developing the new ocean map, we're eager to keep you in the loop about our progress. We understand your anticipation for the release, and rest assured, it's our top priority too. With this update, we're introducing several exciting new features, which is why we're taking the time to ensure everything runs smoothly. Today, we're here to offer you a sneak peek behind the scenes at the Fishing Together feature. But remember, this is just the first glimpse of what's to come in our Saltwater DevDiaries series. In the upcoming diaries, we'll dive deeper into details about the location, fish species, and new saltwater tackles. Fishing together with your friends on the same boat has been one of the most requested features ever! And we couldn't agree more. There's something truly special about navigating the ocean waters with your fellow anglers, developing a shared fishing strategy, and sharing in the experience while enjoying breathtaking sunsets. So get ready to see it all firsthand—we can't wait to show you more! Location Nestled in the East China Sea, close to the Japanese Archipelago, lies a picturesque gem known as Kaiji No Ri. This small island, embraced by the waves of the ocean, boasts an enchanting landscape that captivates the senses. With its beautiful views and serene atmosphere, Kaiji No Ri is a haven for anglers seeking both the thrill of the catch and the tranquility of nature's embrace. The new boats When it comes to ocean fishing, you'll need a sturdier vessel to tackle the waves. For now, you'll have two options at your disposal. You can opt to rent the Tsurihito™ Scutum™ Fishing Yacht, designed to accommodate two people onboard during the fishing together session. You and your friend can fish together using two rod holders each, while also holding an additional rod in your hands simultaneously. Alternatively, if you're the proud owner of the sleek Tsurihito™ Volans™ Fishing Yacht, you'll have the luxury of bringing along three additional friends. Hence, it will accommodate a maximum of 4 players onboard simultaneously for a Fishing Together adventure. Fishing Together If you're the host inviting friends, you'll be the Captain of the yacht. As Captain, you'll enjoy some cool bonuses, like getting to navigate the boat first or fast forward time for everyone onboard. However, with great power comes responsibility. You'll also be tasked with finding the best fishing spots and ensuring everyone has a great time. Your friends will receive the invitation and can accept it right away. However, it's important to ensure that the location is available for all the players, everyone has enough credits to cover the travel expenses to the island, licenses, and the cost of the stay. Just like in real life, it's all about planning ahead and making sure everyone is ready for the adventure. The first thing you would want to try is cruising around the island! The new map is going to be massive, offering plenty of space to explore. With dimensions of 20 by 20 kilometers, it covers an enormous area of 400 square kilometers. To put it into perspective, envision the size of all 24 existing maps in the game combined and then multiplied by at least 20 times. Plus, you'll have access to boats that are faster than the ones currently available in the game, making your cruising experience even more exhilarating. The view from both the captain's bridge and the lower deck is stunning. No matter where you are on the boat, you can always see each other and communicate easily in the Fishing Together chat. You'll have the freedom to switch places on the boat if there is at least one free spot, plus, the captain has the option to allow other players to take the wheel and navigate the yacht, adding an extra layer of teamwork. As you sail, you'll encounter various sights along the way, from regattas and ships to birds gracefully soaring overhead. If you're lucky, you might even catch a glimpse of dolphins or a huge whale swimming by! We will reveal more of those in the upcoming DevDiaries. All players aboard the yacht will experience the same time and weather conditions, which the host can select for the entire group. Additionally, the yacht will feature a storage space, eliminating the need for individual keepnets. Each angler onboard will have access to about 2000 kg of storage, ensuring ample room for everyone's catch. As the upcoming map will be significantly larger compared to all other locations currently available in the game, the exciting addition to the game will be special navigation buoys. These buoys can be strategically installed in preferred locations on the water, allowing for quick navigation to these spots with a simple click on the map. This feature will streamline the process of locating and accessing areas with abundant fish, helping anglers save time and maximize their fishing experience. Fish will dynamically move around the shores of the island based on various natural factors, presenting a challenge for anglers to locate them. To assist in this endeavor, players will have the opportunity to complete a special mission and receive a Saltwater Fish Finder as a reward. One more great thing about the Fishing Together feature is that every player earns additional XP for every fish caught when fishing with friends. If you're angling with your club mates, you receive extra XP for both club fishing and fishing together on one boat. And last for today’s Diary, but definitely not least, is a new fishing method. By casting your rods and placing them in the rod holders, then slowly moving the boat, you'll engage in trolling. This method involves dragging baits through the water to attract large ocean fish. To ensure an optimal trolling experience, the captain won't be able to ride the boat fast while the rods are cast. This restriction helps maintain a steady pace, ensuring the boat doesn't move too fast and disrupt the fishing process. There's nothing quite like the delight of fishing together with your friends aboard. Therefore, in the future, we are planning to expand the Fishing Together feature to all the Bass Boats in the game and you will be able to go fishing together with your friends in all the locations where Bass Boats are allowed. With shared experiences, a lovely backdrop, and the challenge to find fish on a huge ocean location, every moment promises to be fun. Stay tuned for more details on the upcoming update, as we continue to unveil the new features that await you. Until then, happy fishing and tight lines! ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Follow us on social media to stay tuned and be in touch with our lovely community: Our Forum Discord Facebook Group Steam Community Read previous DevDiaries on the ocean update: DevDiary: Exploring Kaiji No Ri DevDiary: Kaiji No Ri Fish Species Guide You are always welcome to ask for help in our support: support@fishingplanet.com *All visual content in this DevDiary is crafted to showcase the upcoming features; however, there may be slight differences upon the actual release of the update2 points

Is this a place for that kind of rant? You are angry for being banned, ok. I don't know why, did you deserve it or not but i can understand why you feel this way. Everything else is just talking nonsense. Carp fishing is not my thing but its a kind of specific so having half of the store occupied with carp baits and equipment is perfectly fine. What are you missing exactly regarding other fishing techniques that makes you so disappointed about their commitment to carp fishing? Isn't that what the half of the RL fishing is about, especially in Europe..... Second....why would you care is someone from the staff is taking picture with some tiny fish? Shoul he be a real life trophy angler to make a game? Do you care if some CoD developer is 18yr. old boy that never served in army or hold AK-47.......i dont think so. I am a RL angler who spends rougly 6 months per year by the sea, hell, i live on the coastline and the amount of fish, and what would be considered as a trophy ones that i catch is something that i am very proud about....... but who cares, this is a game and we all have the same chance to enjoy some pixels fishing. ...and third but most important, how did the game used to be better and what is 'pay to win' in this game? What was better and what do you need to pay to win what precisely? Do you even understand the goals of this game.... what is it all about. Why don't you just enjoy the slow pace, enjoy all the locations catching trophy and unique and mastering all kind of techniques, while unlocking better and stronger equipment to enjoy catching biger and stronger fish and getting back to locations where you couldn't catch them earlier..........what else is there, and what else do you expect from fishing simulation? Maybe this just isn't your 'thing'.....2 points

Hey Anglers, Welcome to another page of our diary series about the upcoming updates! Today we're excited to unveil the key component of The Clubs System: The Leagues. Every angler has their own path and goals, but we all know that competitive spirit drives most of us to achieve more, and Leagues will keep your club members at the forefront of their fishing prowess! So, get ready to reel in your excitement and join us as we dive into what's coming your way next! Leagues The League is a leaderboard of club competitions results in the Championship during the Season and the way to compete with the best anglers while being a part of your unique Club within the whole Fishing Planet Community! Leagues will create an engaging and competitive experience for clubs by giving them goals to strive for and a sense of progression as they improve their skills. Club Points Club Points will be the points that members of clubs earn individually for various game and club activities. The sum of all earned Club Points by players is the club will make a huge impact on your club and lead it to the win. The club that earns the most Club Points wins. *But don’t forget that you can earn Club Points only during the active Season. Seasons The Fishing Planet League system will be divided into Seasons, usually lasting for a few months. At the end of each season players may receive rewards based on their final score, composed by the sum of Club Points in your Club, and the rankings are often reset to some extent to start a new season from scratch. All clubs in the game compete to earn Club Points to win. The competition happens automatically, as it involves comparing the Club Points earned throughout the Season. At the end of the Season, the winning clubs will receive Season Trophies, and their members will receive rewards. At the beginning and at the end of the season all clubs receive notifications. The season starts and ends automatically. Championships A Championship is a weekly competition within the Season. The competition is automatic, it counts by comparing earned Club Points during the Championship. Another important part of a competitive activity created within the Championship are Divisions. Division is a group of clubs from the same league that compete exclusively amongst each other in order to earn the Club Points. Divisions are formed anew before each championship. The size of a division ranges from 6 to 11 clubs in a single league. For each Championship you will need to earn Club Points from scratch. After the end of the Championship, the Divisions will be disbanded to start anew with the next Championship. The clubs that were first in their Division move to the next League, and the players of the club receive rewards. And now we are coming to the most delicious part: League Bonuses and Rewards When the club is in a certain League the members of the club receive bonuses in experience and credits for fish caught. Every fish caught while the club is in the League counts. Players who are members of the Season Winners Club receive rewards for winning the Season and League. These are the top 10 clubs that scored the most Club Points during the Season. The reward* is received by every member of the club, regardless of the amount of Club Points collected by them, the main condition is to be in the club at the reward time. *Please note that all awards on the screenshot are only for visual representation. They will be different after the League release! Season Rewards All members of the Season Winner Club receive rewards for their victory. These are the top 3 clubs that scored the most Club Points during the Season. After the Season review, the winning Club will receive the Season Trophy. The Season Trophy will be displayed in the Club Info window. It displays one of the highest Season Trophies won by the club during its lifetime. League Rewards Rewards are in-game currency, items that Players receive at the end of the Championship and Season. Among the main rewards, besides baitcoins, will be special club-series items and Club Tokens. League Trophies League trophies are the special club awards given to Clubs for winning the Championships by scoring in the top 3 clubs in their Division. The club must win in the current League to move to the next one. To receive the Legendary League Trophy, the Club must remain in the League and not be relegated after the Championship. T The League Trophy will be sent to the Club after the Championship Review. Every member of the Club can see the fact of receiving the Trophy in the League Trophy Window. Visually, League Trophies are the statuettes of a fisherman, made of different materials, metal or precious stones. *The Trophies cannot be bought or sold. The future of Fishing Planet is looking brighter than ever with the exciting League update! As we embark on this thrilling journey of championship competitions among angler clubs, your fishing adventures are about to reach the new heights. Stay tuned for more updates, cast your lines, and get ready to make a splash in the world of angling like never before!1 point

Dear players, We have prepared a huge bug fix patch for you today. It has been released on all the platforms: Steam/Epic Games - 5.0.5, PlayStation - 5.08, Xbox/Microsoft Store - 2.03, IOS/Android - 1.0.25. We’ve taken your feedback into account regarding XP and credits for fish in Kaiji No Ri and have made some adjustments. The prices for fish have increased, and you'll now earn more XP when trolling with saltwater gear. XP in Fishing Together sessions has also been boosted - the more players on the boat, the more XP each of you will receive. Additionally, don’t forget that you get an XP bonus when fishing with your club mates, so fishing with them on the same boat is always a win-win. We’ve also modified the fish fights, making it easier to reel in big catches faster, and as a result allowing you to gain more XP in less time. After receiving feedback about the Fishing Together Mastering Missions being too difficult, we've made some adjustments to make them more achievable. The amounts of fish needed to catch in all three missions have been reduced. The name of the mission "Fishing Together Hunt: Plugs" was changed to "Fishing Together Hunt: Trolling", and plugs are no longer required lures for completing the mission, now you can use any trolling lures of your choice. Here’s a detailed list of what’s been fixed and improved: 1. Fixed the character appearing in the water after reconnecting the Fishing Together session host in the game. Yes, the drowning guy bug that many of you liked 2. Fixed the issue of disappearing reel sounds in Japan. 3. Addressed the issue of birds' sounds playing incorrectly. 4. Fixed water waves appearing in the middle of a sand island in Japan. 19. Fixed the issue where the button to collapse/expand the tournament/competition participants table was missing. 20. Resolved the pop-up "Selected room has not been found..." appearing every time when entering the waterway after a competition ended. 21. Fixed the issue where the windscreen of the rental yacht was half-displayed upon spawning. 22. Fixed the right part of the rental yacht’s windscreen incorrectly lit blue. 23. Corrected continuous splashing sounds nearby even at a significant distance from the fish jumping out of the water. 24. Fixed an issue where the fish would spin around when hooked on a gaff. 25. Hey there, fellow fishing enthusiasts! We are inviting you to join us for the World Cats Cup Tournament happening from March 12th to March 17th, with registration starting on March 11th, just a day before it all begins! Come have fun competing with other players and trying to catch the biggest fish! The journey will start in North America, then head to Europe, and finally explore the waters of South America. For those of you who are new to the game, signing up for the tournament gives you access to all the Tournament waterways, no matter your level. Plus, the registration fee covers all the licenses you need to catch qualifying fish in the tournament states. And if you consider getting some new equipment, The World Cats Cup Pack will be your reliable support in this journey! This bundle contains everything you need for a bottom fishing tournament. Here’s the tournament schedule: March 12: Qualifier 1 at Saint Croix Lake in Michigan. March 13: Qualifier 2 on the beautiful Sander Baggersee Lake in Germany. March 14: Qualifier 3 on the swampy shores of Quanchkin Lake in Louisiana. March 16: Semifinal on the tropical banks of the Marron River in Bolivia. March 17: Tournament Final in the winding streams of the Amazonian Maze in Brazil. Now, let's talk about the rules. We've recently joined the Epic Games Store, which means you can play against folks on Steam too! Here's the most important part: you can have Fishing Planet accounts on both platforms, but you can only use one Fishing Planet account per device for tournaments. We know gaming with family is awesome, but for tournaments, each family member should play on their own device. If you share a device, just pick one person to compete. For all the details, check out our Competitive Activity Rules. They've been updated slightly, so take a peek here: https://fishingplanet.com/TournamentRules.htm Good luck to you all, and may every fish you reel in from the bottom lead you to the very top! Each of us has the right to think what he wants. But in any game there must be certain rules that both players and developers must follow. If in a regular quest game there is no indication of which thing to take or which button to press, this is understandable, this is just a quest and nothing more. In FP, the situation is different, here, in order to find something about which not a word is said, you need to go around 25 locations, paying money for it! So at least tell me, or give instructions through the execution of some action, what to do at these locations to open secret missions! Fishing? Walking around locations, looking for something? In what area at least to perform actions? I found out about the first secret mission (golden corn in locations where there is no event icon) on the Steam forum, but not from the developers! Let's still respect each other, otherwise you can get to the point of absurdity: "we announced the event here, what is the name and from what date - guess. Find what you need to do. Prizes are either there or not - you will see if you do it."1 point

My understanding is that: For bait rods, the length of leaders makes a difference in presentation of the bait. For fast flow and shallow waterways, shorter leaders is recommended as it tend to limit the movement of your bait so it is easier for the fish to bite it, while longer leaders is recommended for low flow and deep waterways as it provide more "coverage" along with added depth. For lure rods, short leaders allows to you better control of the movement of the lure -- especially top water, but it may sometimes scare some fish off. I personally just use short leaders as they take up a lot of space if you have to use many rods.1 point
-
Congrats on catching it! Question for all -- Is it better to use leaders or no leaders at all? I tend to not use leaders except for fish with teeth or for lures that I can't afford to lose. I've seen people who don't use leaders and fish at less than max drag and got better bite rates. Not sure if fish tend to get scared away from leaders.1 point
-
If you are not at home, I think you will need to toss away the old rod and leave an empty slot and then purchase and use the new rod.1 point

I wonder whether fish actions are available for all fish and lakes. Perhaps, one reason they don't have this is because they are limited. Another cool thing is to have those fish jumping out the lakes being bigger. It's really hard to tell what they are unless you zoom in very close. Sometimes, they don't jump unless you're driving by on a boat (especially in Amazon) which makes it impossible to see close-up.1 point
-
Wow! Never saw that before. On PC and Xbox, they tend to just stick there head out or jump on bait really quickly. I'm hoping they can add option to make the water a bit more clearer so you can see all of the fish action underneath. I know you can see it at Weeping Willow and Maku Maku, but not sure about other places.1 point

Hi, Anglers! We are happy to present you with a detailed guide to all the unique fish that you can find on the Selenge River! The sharply continental climate holds the river in icy embrace for almost half a year, from November to April. Harsh winters and hot summers make early autumn an ideal time for fishing. In September, snow can already fall at night, which melts during the day. And just at this time, the Baikal omul, pyzhyan and taimen come here to spawn. You’ll have to take on such rare and feisty opponents as Humpback Whitefish, Lenok, Baikal Omul and, of course, the Khan of all salmon — Taimen! Siberian Taimen Siberian Taimen is the largest representative of the salmon family. It can reach over 60 kilograms in weight and up to 2 meters in length. It inhabits the cold rivers of Siberia and Mongolia and never goes to sea. It mainly keeps near deep holes close to the shore. This species is active day and night. In the daytime, the Taimen picks shaded areas, and at night it moves to the nearby shallows with a fast current. Preferred baits: Large Minnows, Common Minnow, Shiners. Preferred lures: Medium Spoon, Single Spoon, Bullet Spinner Crankbaits, Minnows, Mouse Lure Poppers, Walkers Soft Baits (Shads). Lenok Lenok is a predatory fish that inhabits fast rivers with cold water. It can reach more than 10 kilograms in weight and a meter in length. It prefers to hide among branches, stones, flooded trees, as well as keep to sections of the river with rifts and rapids. Lenok hunts at any time of the day, but most actively — in the morning and in the evening. Preferred baits: Grasshoppers, Dragonflies Bark Beetle Larva, Night Crawlers Natural Eggs, Spawn Sack, Boiled Red Roe Small Minnows, Common Minnow, Shiners. Preferred lures: Narrow Spoon, Single Spoon, Bullet Spinner Mini Crank, Minnows, Mouse Lure* Poppers, Walkers Soft Baits (Shads, Grubs, Nymphes). Arctic Grayling Arctic Grayling is a relatively small omnivorous predatory cold-loving fish. It can reach up to 4 kilograms in weight and up to 80 cm in length. It lives in rivers, streams, and lakes of the Arctic Ocean basin. The Arctic Grayling prefers rapids and areas near large boulders, where reverse currents can occur, as well as places where branches of trees and bushes hang over the water. They are most active during the day, and hunt mainly in the early morning and late evening. Preferred baits: Grasshoppers, Crickets, Dragonflies, Mayflies, Caddis Larva, Bark Beetle Larva Artificial Salmon Eggs, Natural Eggs Spawn Sack, Boiled Red Roe Small Minnows, Common Minnow Preferred lures: Narrow Spoon, Single Spoon, Nano Spoon Spinners, Nano Spinner Mini Crank, Minnows, Poppers. Baikal Omul Baikal Omul is a schooling fish of the whitefish genus of the salmon family. It can reach about 3 kilograms in weight and more than 60 centimeters in length. It prefers deep places with clear cool water. This fish feeds around the clock, and it usually goes to shallow water to feed. It feeds on crustaceans, bottom invertebrates, and juvenile fish. The Omul bites well in all layers of water, but there’s more chance of catching it near the bottom. Preferred baits: Caddis Larva, Bloodworms, Red Worms, Sideswimmers, Night Crawlers, Small Minnows, Common Minnow. Preferred lures: Narrow Spoon, Nano Spoon, Spinners, Nano Spinner, Soft Baits (Craws). Humpback Whitefish Humpback Whitefish (Coregonus pidschian) is a schooling fish of the whitefish genus of the salmon family. It can reach more than 4 kilograms in weight and up to 70 centimeters in length. The Whitefish prefers places with a silty-sandy bottom, a weak current, and well-developed aquatic vegetation. Its activity peaks in the evening, but it is also active during daylight hours. In cloudy weather, it is active throughout the day. The Whitefish is an excellent fighter, so get ready for some impressive resistance from it. Adults feed at the river bottom on small mollusks, crustaceans, insects, their larvae, and eggs of other fish. Preferred baits: Caddis Larva, Bloodworms, Red Worms Sideswimmers, Night Crawlers, Natural Eggs, Spawn Sack, Boiled Red Roe Small Minnows, Common Minnow. Preferred lures: Narrow Spoon, Nano Spoon Spinners, Nano Spinner Soft Baits (Grubs, Craws). Common Dace Common Dace is a medium-sized omnivorous schooling diurnal fish. It can weigh more than one kilogram and reach about 40 centimeters in length. It lives in small rivers with clear water and moderate flow and is sometimes found in lakes or in brackish water at estuaries. Its juveniles often hide in holes and roots in coastal vegetation, and as they mature, they move to areas with faster currents. If you’re hunting for the Dace with a spinning rod, using twitch retrieve will help you a lot. Preferred baits: Semolina Balls, Oat-flakes Grasshoppers, Crickets Dragonflies, Mayflies, Flies Bark Beetle Larva, Night Crawlers Small Minnows, Common Minnow. Preferred lures: Narrow Spoon, Nano Spoon Spinners, Nano Spinner Mini Crank, Minnows Poppers, Walkers Soft Baits (Grubs). Common Minnow Common Minnow is a small schooling diurnal fish, reaching the maximum length of 20 centimeters. It can be found in streams and rivers with cold, well-oxygenated water. It prefers to stay at a shallow depth with a sandy-stony or sandy-pebbled bottom. Preferred baits: Caddis Larva, Bloodworms, Red Worms Pinkies, Maggots Natural Eggs. Amur Bitterling Amur Bitterling is a diurnal cold-loving fish that lives in reservoirs with stagnant or slow-flowing water. This elusive fish tends to keep in small flocks at depths up to 2 meters, in secluded and quiet places with a sandy or rocky bottom overgrown with algae. Preferred baits: Dough Balls, Semolina Balls Pearl Barley, Oat-flakes Caddis Larva, Bloodworms, Red Worms Pinkies, Maggots. Oh and please note that the bite of some fish is affected by the direction of the wind!1 point

Once the pond pass expires you'll have to reach the required level before you can access the waterway again, or you could buy another DLC for that waterway (you won't be able to purchase another Discovery pack DLC). If you can afford the time (for the grind) during those 30 days you should be able to reach the required level. The one thing I think that's missing from the Discovery pack would be titanium leaders (Tiger fish have a rather nasty set of dentures, so you might want to target fish like the Nile perch instead).1 point
