  1. I see it now. Thanks. Nice implementation. I have no problem with DLC business models, btw. I do like trying out the fishing first before buying the kayaks, though. Thanks!
  2. Looks like you have to spend real dollars to get a kayak. Also looks like some of the locations have changed...you can no longer spawn onto the Fairy Tale floating dock...but you can buy a kayak and get there. For real dollars.
  3. Do the Kayaks come out today? I think this is the date identified in the video above.
  4. When I say casting meter I mean the vertical bar showing when you are in the process of a normal cast and not necessarily the aimed cast. The bar indicates green and at the furthest distance it is yellow. My question is what is being modelled here? I know that in real life the longer the cast the weaker the hook set at that distance. Is that why it is yellow? I have also noticed I get better action from my lures when I cast in the green. So, what is the meaning of the meter? Thanks!
  5. Day 2 produced 13 trophy fish, brown, Oregon, and Rainbow...and this unique...
  6. Marshall_Maz, it turns out I had every thing in my kit that you prescribed for Oregon. That place is like a trout vending machine! And it was all fun and games until I hooked my first brownie!
  7. Thanks, Ez...viewing them now! I have a license there until 11/20. Edit: excellent, very straightforward...I am on my way to the plane
  8. Night fishing at Fairy Tale...was hoping to trick another sturgeon but these boys turned up...
  9. Is there such a thing as a muskie hot spot on St. Croix?
  10. Hey, you're kinda good at this! Nice job. I will set my values to metric for the conversion and go shopping.
  11. Marshall, I need help equipping my tackle box for Oregon. I have room for six rods. Any suggestions?
  12. Had another good trip here. Caught my first sturgeon, first tiger muskie (I hate muskies!!!) and my second unique blue. So much more to learn about this location!
  13. The Columbia River in Oregon comes to mind but I think you have those species covered elsewhere.
  14. Just finished a two day trip and spent two night sessions on the Salty peg. Had good luck on the right side with the glowing crankbait...plentiful bass, snook, and red drum. Look for the dead trees sticking up from the water. Cast all the way out and bring it back in that zone.
  15. Will do! I am banking blues at the moment but I will put that on my list! Good to see you!
  16. I use an Afterglow controller on the PC so I can "couch fish". I have both the Xbox 360 and Xbox One versions. Here are a few tips that have helped me. 1. Invert the axis and set the sensitivity to 100% to help take up slack when hook setting on a float fishing session. I caught 10 Blues in 30 minutes at Michigan fishing 25 yards out this way. 2. If you are having problems setting the hook on lure fishing sessions turn off the vibration and use the pro meters on the screen to get the timing down. Took me a couple of hours to get the hang of it. 3. The Afterglow has lights, in addition to vibration to indicate a strike. If you were looking for a bite indicator that will do just fine. It helps when drinking coffee and hunting cats at the same time. 4. Use the A button to speed up the reel when you are pulling in a line and setting it out again. I move my float baits frequently. 5. I still use the mouse for aimed casts, however. Aiming with the sticks is not nearly as precise.

  17. Why, yes! Yes I am. You can tell by my affection for screen shots. I haven't tried Oregon yet. I did find that I had hours of fun in Florida with an 8 lb casting rig. Night fishing is hot, too. Those gar will hit a crankbait!
  18. Got to be my favorite location. I managed this one on my first day out to Lily Pad. Caught on a brown jig in the usual spot, left side channel. You know, in Florida any bass less than 10 pounds is just bait.
  19. I did manage to catch this old girl, though. Large Cutbait off Fairytale. I compared my fish keeper with medium bait to the fish caught with large bait and the only difference was this unique.
  20. It was a spinning rig I had outfitted for 20 lb test line and a 2 oz medium spoon...first cast of the morning and bam....it was gone. LOL, that was my lucky spoon, too!
  21. Made it to "Pike Alley" and there is some monster in there that has stolen my lure twice! Took me all day to calm down.
  22. This suggestion may be late for the conversation but I use a controller on the PC and was missing nearly all of bites on lures. I turned off the vibration in the settings menu so that I only had the visual indicators. That showed me the problem was setting the hook when the controller vibrated instead of waiting for the bars to indicate a strong bite before setting the hook. I was too early. After couple of hours, though, I was consistently setting the hook with success. I play with the vibration turned back on, now and have no problems.
  23. The big cats didn't come out to play but two of these did!
  24. I am posting here because I just can't leave this waterway! So, here is what I wanted to say. Thank you for a brilliant game and generous community! The depth of the game astounds me. Just spent the morning session in North Carolina snagging largemouth with the popper and netted three trophy bass in the process. Still haven't chased uniques and right now I am taking a break, setting up for a night session with the big cats. Best of luck, and again, thank you to the devs and the community.
