I haven't played in over a month until today...same old crap blue screens, flashing overlay etc...etc...but HOLY SHITAKE! I do believe the crankbaits are fixed after like almost a year!

I'm paralysed. Devs please read.
X-xH3aDxS4o7x-X replied to Violentvole's topic in General discussion
About 1/2 the time you can get it to go away by pressing in the right joystick(R3) which changes the type of cast you're going to make. Inconvenient to have to toggle through but not as bad as restarting. -
Independence Trout Open: Semifinal Results
X-xH3aDxS4o7x-X replied to Sergey.B's topic in General discussion
I will say that the same thing happened to me during the semi-final. I blue screened 4 times. At one point my smallest fish was 3.9lbs and I had a full bag. After blue screening and coming back into the game I had 4 fish at 2lbs, and only 9 fish in my bag. I'm just posting this because it happened to me too, but there's no point in submitting a ticket. Every time I've emailed them or made a ticket I get told that it's my fault or their records don't show what happened to me. It blows, but just take your lumps and move on. You're not going to get anywhere with "support". -
Fargin Blue Screen Cost Me Final
X-xH3aDxS4o7x-X replied to X-xH3aDxS4o7x-X's topic in General discussion
The trophy that I lost due to blue screen was over 5 lbs. I've played well enough to know how they fight. Even if it had been 4 lbs(which it wasn't), and the blue screen didn't cost me the last seconds and a 5.6lber. I would have had 51lbs. Not whining. Sick and fuggin tired of getting screwed by glitches and bugs. There is a big difference in RNG and bugs. I can deal with bad RNG, but losing because of errors they claimed to have fixed is unacceptable. If you call that whining, well I guess I'm a big baby. -
Welp...thanks for not bothering to use any lube when ya reamed me FP. Lost a Trophy due to blue screen error in the Semi-Final today, which in turn cost me the time of restarting the app, thus making me get my last trophy 1 second exactly after the buzzer. Had I gotten those 2 trophies I'd have finished in the top 10. I think this might just be the last straw.

I don't recall which of the nighttime challenges it is, it's either the one for weight of fish caught at night, or number of fish caught at night. Both are worth doing though, as one gives you the night bobber, and one gives you the lighted hat.
-
I'm not sure if I've got it on my list either lol. I'll have to check. I'm still after that stupid elusive uni whitefish.

I'm Eastern time zone and the day seems to reset at around 8:00pm. Whenever the daily reward pops up is when I'd start. The way I did it was with crickets at lonestar, #10 hook, and 20in leader if I remember correctly. I did the 300 fish, the night time challenge for catching so many fish at night, lucky bobber III, and a couple of the panfish challenges this way, all in one go. Edit: I was fishing from the bridge towards the backside, all the way to the left, just right of the lilys about 20-28ft out if I remember correctly. It's really quick there.

This has been something that bothers the crap out of me since I found out you can't repair them. I've used all of my x series constantly since I got them. My pear shaped one especially. I really wish they'd make them repairable for baitcoins as well, or re-obtainable. You can get the round one again from the new achievements last patch, but that's it. I've only been using them in tournaments and comps now instead of just for regular fishing. Or if I need some extra distance on a cast. I have tested the X-series pear shaped against the regular pair shaped, and the baitcoin pear shaped. The X-Series gets 10ft roughly more casting distance than the regular pear shaped bobbers. The other two have the same thing about aerodynamics in their descriptions, but I can't say whether they cast farther or not. I only cast the slim one close distances, and never use the round one. I'll copy over my post from the other thread here with information on X-series gear. ********************************************************************************************************************************************************************************* X-series do have benefits over the normal tackle. The floats cast farther than their standard counterparts. The line wears slower, so it needs to be replaced less. The hooks and jigheads set the hook easier, and are less likely to become unhooked. The lures have exclusive colors that attract more fish. The night hat has the light. The fishnets have a larger maximum capacity. The rod cases/tackle boxes carry more reels and tackle etc....None of these things individually make a huge difference, but using all of them in conjunction will make a difference in your success overall. I've noticed a slightly higher catch rate with bait coin lures, but not as much as x-series stuff. One thing I have noticed for sure, is that bait coin live baits definitely catch more fish. Even more so with event baits, so stock up on event baits whenever they come around. The regular baits such as large minnows that you can buy with baitcoins instead of in game cash seem to have a slightly increased bite rate as well. Here's a link to a spreadsheet showing the majority of the x-series items and their benefit descriptions. As well as how to get them. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B3O8d21lAetballYMGdGTDBSYXM/view

Enough is Enough FIX THE BLUE SCREEN ERROR
X-xH3aDxS4o7x-X replied to Hate_ful's topic in Bug Reports
2nd qualifier I had 5 blue screeens, and didn't get a single bite in the first 45 minutes until I reset the app. I was just going to quit, then came back a couple of hours later and nearly qualified. That 45 minute glitch screwed me though. -
Enough is Enough FIX THE BLUE SCREEN ERROR
X-xH3aDxS4o7x-X replied to Hate_ful's topic in Bug Reports
@Dennis_FP, @Hegert, @Sergey.B, @Killerwhale, @Support_Team, @Olga This is simply unacceptable. I had 4 blue screen errors myself during the qualifier yesterday, 3 of those were tropy/unique Dolly Varden, and one of those I'm 99% certain was a unique Bull Trout. Nearly every contact that I've ever had with support even with photo proof end up with them telling me "They've checked the game files and it was on my end." That or not ever even so much as giving a response for months at a time. Just brushing it under the table and ignoring it. Every single player here has experienced the same. Once again, in this case it's not our fault, it's not our playstation, it's not our internet connection, it's not our harddrive, it's not a matter of rebuilding the database, it's not on our end, it's not that we're fishing the wrong spot. For once, please just acknowledge that the issues we're having is not on our end, and not our playstation. Just accept that something was faulty with the last hot-patch, and let us know that you're going to try and fix it. Maybe compensate the players affected. That would go over MUCH better than always blaming the players. Why keep treating your loyal player base like crap? We're told to submit errors with proof to help improve our gameplay experience, yet every time we do...we get met with "It's not on our end, you must have faulty equipment" or "You're in the wrong spot" or "Our game files do not reflect your issue". We obviously enjoy the game to keep playing it with all of these errors. We report these errors so that they can be realized, acknowledged, and hopefully fixed. We're sick and tired of being told it's not happening or is our fault. I've intentionally tagged members of the admin, developers, and support team so that we can all see that you have read our problems. Ignore us, delete my post, claim that it's our fault. At least we'll know where your team stands for sure. The ball is in your court FP. -
Well today, everything worked as it should. Unfortunately I ended up in 45th place when I quit with just under 45lbs. Can only blame the RNG for that one, which I have no complaint about. Yesterday was still ridiculous. You'd think they'd at least test some of these things before putting them out, or fix them after the same complaints over and over. Oh well, I gave it my best today. Luck just wasn't on my side. Good luck to all in the tourney. I don't get that much with topwater during comps. Only during tourneys, with the pike tourney being an example. The majority of the time if I miss with a topwater in a comp, it's because my line is too slack to set the hook, or I try and set too early/late. From what I can tell, the topwaters aren't broken, however, after months of complaints from virtually everyone that plays the game, we obviously know that crankbaits are.

At least you got to do the Catfish tournament. I registered. Had the qualifiers listed in my applied list. Logged in the next day to do the qualifier and was no longer registered. 5 minutes into the tournament and I had already emailed support. Took them several hours to reply, and I was told "According to our game files, you never registered and we cannot add you to the tournament.". Try that one on for size. I'm so fed up.

Purchased bait vanishing once level started
X-xH3aDxS4o7x-X replied to WhiskerFisher's topic in Bug Reports
Since nobody from support will help you, I'll try. Check your home inventory. Every time I've ever had this happen it moves it to home inventory. Often it's because your tackle slots are full. -
Final results. Got 20.796lbs in 2 hours. 20 fish, 4 bowfin, 16 bass. Over 300 bites that lagged, only 20 hooksets. That is absolutely ridiculous. Not even 1 single trophy either. This bite lag issue only happens on PS4. Not on PC. So obviously there is a problem they need to address. We'll see after tomorrow. In practice in Neherrin, under the same weather and pressure conditions as the tournament, I caught 440lbs of fish in 3 in game hours. Over 30 of those trophies. If it lags like that when they bite tomorrow, I freaking quit. I'm deleting the game. I'm sick and tired of all of the bugs they refuse to acknowledge or address. I follow suit of many other players and just move on and invest my money into something enjoyable.

Seriously. This crap again? Same as the pike tournament. I've made it through the first hour of the first qualifier. I've had a minimum of 150-200 bites. Only been able to set the hook on 6 fish out of those bites. Every time a fish spawns and goes to bite, the whole screen freezes up for about 2 seconds until the fish stops biting. I've had 4 fish actually on the hook and the bars be up into the orange and pulling drag, then the fish completely disappears off my line. The same thing happened with the pike tournament. I've asked multiple friends, and they're all experiencing the same problem. I would appreciate it, if everyone will chime in and let them know it's a problem for them as well. Not like it will matter anyway, we'll just be told "everything is working as intended", and nothing was done to fix it during the pike tournament either, but hey...it's worth a shot.

In game, go to the "EVENTS" tab, then go to sub tab under that labeled "Tournaments". You can register for free or for in game cash to any competition or tournament. They do not cost money. What you're seeing that costs money are the DLC packs associated with the tournament. I would however take a screenshot once you are registered to prove that you are registered because last Tournament I was registered, but somehow magically got unregistered and support would not reinstate me.

Registered For Catfish Tournament But Now Not Registered
X-xH3aDxS4o7x-X replied to X-xH3aDxS4o7x-X's topic in Bug Reports
I sent an email to support as well. No response yet. Could you please re-enroll me? It's been 6 hours since I posted this, and I'm running out of time to do the qualifier. -
I think my records say otherwise. If you played enough, or frequented the forums enough, you'd realize how much I've practiced and developed techniques to help others here. Depsite the obvious language barrier, reconnecting is not cheating, it's not giving any advantage whatsoever, and is necessary for most people because of how buggy the game gets. You have freezes, bugs where you can't equip poles, stuck in the inventory screen etc...The only solution to these is to restart. Sometimes I'll be so buggy that I have to restart just to be able to get a fish after not getting one for the first 10 minutes of a comp. Maybe they should fix the bugs instead of doing ignorant stuff like you're suggesting. What means? You guys are seriously consipiratorial. Link these youtube videos where it's showing resetting your app when you're buggy as being an exploit. If it truly shows it as an exploit then I'll agree with you they need to fix it. However, that would still screw over players that are having bugs and connectivity issues by implementing a penalty. It's just a dumb idea. They need to fix the bugs...not make things worse with garbage like this. Not like the devs or mods will respond to anything anymore on here. They don't care anymore and won't even give a response about crankbaits after 3-4 months.
-
This is ridiculous. Rodrigo, instead of complaining on why you're not winning in comps, maybe go and practice like everyone else. Go watch youtube videos to get ideas, check out the ubersheet and fishfinder pages. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1B5W-Ab_oaUAmJKQC0F6EsZ-3O9kyutLQtP4EuSh8VT0/edit#gid=856843798 http://www.fishfinder.poulhollensted.dk/ This just simply won't help. Exactly like Hateful said, people crash, people get bugs, lag out etc...It would be flat out stupid to implement something like this. You've only played 140 competitions, and you have 2 wins. I played more than that before getting my first win. I'm over 300 competitions in with only 7 wins. It takes research and practice.

I congratulate people still on unis if they're under level 40, or the uni is a large one. If they're 40+ or it's a small uni, I find it kind of silly.
-
I can't speak for everyone, but I can sure tell you why I stopped frequenting the forums. There are multiple reasons. I saw the death of the forums happen around the same time, so I'm sure it is likely due to similar reasons for others. This didn't come about recently, nor with the introduction of clubs. It started with the Halloween event, which was a complete disaster. Then escalated when they give no responses about crankbaits(good or bad) and responded to multiple issues that people were having with "It's working as intended". Now they've started banning people and disqualifying them from tournaments for participating with multiple accounts, regardless of whether or not it's multiple people playing in the same house or 1 person playing on 2 accounts. There is no way for them to know without personally being in the room with the people, and it's ludicrous anyway. You'd think they'd want more money coming in from purchases on multiple accounts of spouses/friends/roommates anyway. Not to mention it's going to lower their player base. Moreover, I've been playing online games for well over 20 years, and never, not once in that time have I ever seen a rule about not playing on multiple accounts. It's exclusive to Fishing Planet. Coupled with the fact that the tournament rules they posted were not readily available for PS4 users whatsoever, until someone whined about not being good in competitions. The rules are not listed on this website. The rules are not listed on Facebook. They are not listed when you make an account on PS4 in the EULA. To find the rules for competition play, you have to go on the steam website(not even remotely related to PS4). Once you're on the steam website, you have to then find the EULA, click on a link within the EULA, then copy and paste a broken link to their "ammended" EULA for tournament rules. That's a bit unfair to anyone on PS4 that have been banned without prior knowledge or at least a warning of their "Readily available" rules. Right now, I have 7 friends that were disqualified from the Valentine's tournament, while SabiScs was still allowed to participate even though in his youtube videos it clearly shows 2 different accounts playing in the qualifiers. This is completely unjust. You ban 7 players, but allow 1 to remain? Shouldn't the same rules apply to all people? As a result of this, 5 of those players have now quit the game enitrely and vowed to not spend another cent on the game. Out of those 7 people, they have spent $1,000's of dollars on the game. One of those people that were banned messaged support and asked why he was disqualified from the tournament along with those other people, yet SabiScs was allowed to continue playing without complying to said rules. His response from support "Regarding player sabiscs - we investigate every case separately and this user has already been warned.". So shouldn't the same rules apply to all? So as a result, you have now lost players, and their wives. You've lost income from future purchases from these players. Word of mouth goes a long way. You will also lose potential players, and income once these people let others know to not play your game or invest money into it. All of these things accumulating. You're losing your player base, potential players, and potential income. You're also labeling your team as unfair. So these are the reasons I have stopped even bothering coming on the forums. I've almost stopped playing the game myself because of all of these issues...Not to mention, after 5 months, my Halloween Event hat is STILL bugged after they said it would be fixed in the topwater patch in November. Other's reasons may vary, but I guarantee it's from the same feeling I've gotten. People aren't being treated fairly, and they neglect their player's opinions and needs. I've become just a casual player now, and won't spend another penny on this game myself now that I have seen how they deal with people. I love the game but I won't be giving them anymore money, nor will I promote them to friends as I have done in the past. I wouldn't want my friends or family being treated that way.
