  1. I believe it starts the challenge when you catch a fish with candy
  2. It happens to me with a 90-inch leader same gear, same spot as Bax's video. It happens so often you can tell when it's about to happen. Fish nibbles....moves bobber around and if the bobber lays on its side you'll get the fish is gone message. Happens to me in Cali and Michigan. But I'm guessing it could happen any place with moving water while bobber fishing for any fish with an obligatory lengthy nibble phase programmed to it.
  3. Communication is indeed golden. From a consumer standpoint, I would like to see a list here on the forums of known bugs and asked for features that are currently being worked on/ implemented. At the end of the day, however, I realize that this is a F2P product aimed at an extremely niche market. I have no idea of their resources to maintain open communication with the player base. I think all we can do is give them the benefit of the doubt that things are moving along behind the scenes as we continue to play the game for as long as we enjoy it.
  4. The problem is sometimes in certain situations I can see a fish approaching my lure as I am releasing line and there is no time to wait.
  5. I see on the rankings tab for qualifier 1 that there were 665 people registered.
  6. The tournament is currently running on PC, but they had the correct comp. times listed.
  7. Thank you, one of the rare few times RNG has smiled upon me.
  8. I wonder if it was because the competition time is listed as 01/16/2018 1:00 PM - 01/16/2018 9:00 AM?
  9. Due to lack of registrations. Is this true or a bug?
  10. Sometimes after pressing the down button on the D-pad to let line out of the reel and then pressing the up button on the D-pad the game will automatically start reeling line in. I have sent in a support email as well.
  11. Yep, that downtime is a killer. For me it seems to happen anytime after gar 6 or 7.The best I have ever done in that comp is 9 or 10 gar. The winners now usually have 13-14 gar on average. I got some experimenting to do.
  12. As far as comps go all you can do is prepare for them the best you can and hope luck is on your side. IMO they are mostly 25% knowledge and 75% RNG luck. Sorta like real fishing
  13. Anyone else see it briefly listed under Tournaments on the events tab? It was there yesterday, but it's no longer there.
  14. After the last event, I waited to see if VV and some others gave this event a thumbs up before I bought the DLC. And according to their running thread, it looks like they are having a great time. That persuaded me to support the devs and buy the DLC. Now after reading what you said here Pap I'm really glad I did. For reasons I won't go into here I have a heck of a time being social in the game due to the way the in-game chat keyboard system works. That said I may not be able to fully participate in this event, but I can do so vicariously here on the forums. Congratulations on that Kayak!
  15. I'm with you guys. But heck I'm so old I remember when the Dead Sea was just sick. P.S. Wearing sunglasses indoors while you fish in fishing planet only makes it worse. That was a waste of $2.99. My phone rang and I tried to answer my tv remote. P.S.S. I'm just kidding about the sunglasses, but do let me know if wearing them really works if anyone dares to try it.
  16. I see a lot of familiar names from the competitions in there. Some very talented Fishing Planet players. Congratulations to you all.
  17. Look son, you came on this thread without a damn clue or any inclination to further your education on the subject and asked a question that was already answered in said thread. On top of that you can't be bothered to read the games patch notes or even easier... the competition's rules. Hell, you even created a thread earlier and asked what was in update 1.06 and CrackBadger kindly linked you fishing planets facebook post that clearly states, "kayaks can be rented and used for travel in some competitions on the following waterways: Emerald Lake, White Moose Lake, San Joaquin Delta and partially Saint-Croix Lake." Not to mention under Rules and Restrictions of the competition "Cat's 'N' Nightcatchers" it clearly says "Kayak usage during the competition is allowed". But anyway listen, the Mods here try to maintain a certain level of civility on the forums so I'd like to leave you with some helpful advice. Next time you see grownups having a conversation don't run up to the table with a booger on your finger screaming num nums.
  18. Yeah, I'm not looking to keep folks updated on game updates here nor was I asking for any helpful hints.
  19. Wasn't that way for me. Have you tried closing the game and restarting it?
