Hello, dear anglers! Many of you are wondering what’s coming next in Fishing Planet. We are happy to tell you more what we have been working on since the release of feeder fishing and European waterways. Right now we are finalizing carp fishing and a new European waterway. The next one you will get an opportunity to explore is Weeping Willow located in the Kent County of South East England. It is an artificial equatorial complex of five lakes based on the Grasswickshire River. It is a perfect place for the professional anglers made by anglers, where fish species were carefully stocked and cared. Weeping Willow is exceptionally sporty and friendly for anglers and fish water complex. These lakes will welcome you with a lot of species like Catfish, Pike, Tench, Bream and many more! You’ll be able to practice the iconic British carp fishing and nothing is more welcoming to catch a good carp as the nature of the British valleys. Carp Fishing is completely exciting fishing with a specific carp tackles: carp and spod rods, reels, flat feeder, PVA bags, spod, hooks, leaders, and sinkers. Carp baits - boilies and pellets will help you to attract fish of your dream. You will get everything you need to experience the uniqueness of carp fishing. Also, we will add Britain's most popular coarse fish species - Hybrid F1 Carp. A cross between crucian and common carp bred by more than 600 commercial fisheries in the UK. We need a few more weeks of development before releasing these new features for you and we promise the wait will be worth it!

Hey, dear friends! It’s been another great year full of angling excitement with Fishing Planet. We are happy to present you an awesome update full of new cool features and amazing new content! New region added - global map is now a globe We’re finally adding a completely new region of the world to Fishing Planet - Europe! Now you’ll be able to enjoy fishing on new European waterways, complete with their own unique vibe, scenic surroundings, beautiful nature and all the realistic details inherent to the region! The global map is now represented as a 3D globe. Five new waterways The first iteration of the new waterways includes 5 new rivers and lakes of the European region. small and charming Lesni Vila pond of the Czech Republic urbanistic drive of Ghent–Terneuzen Canal in the Netherlands exquisitely Italian and picturesque Tiber, third-longest river in Italy big and beautiful Sander Baggersee Lake in Germany Authentic Akhtuba River in Russia 37 NEW Fish Species for you to catch! Including: Bream, Tench, Roach, Zander, Crucian Carp, Ide, Asp, European Eel, Grayling, Marble Trout, Barbel, Round Goby, Mirror Carp and Leather Carp and dozens more! This update also includes few fish giants that will get on nerves of even hardcore anglers. No one can remain indifferent in the face of 60 kg Wels Catfish and Beluga. New fish generation system and AI We have revised and reworked the fish generation system and AI to make it more realistic: Less specific fish distribution range. More flexible bite charts Codependency within the fish ecosystem in the waterway. Support of the movement of fish schools. Consideration of interrelation between different species of coarse fish. More complex dependency of bites on the weather conditions. Water temperature indicator added Effect of chum on fish bites. At the moment, this new system is functioning only on the newly added waterways but will be implemented on all existing fishing destinations in the nearest future. Lake Sturgeon is back on Michigan White Sturgeon sizes on California increased Bottom fishing and Feeder fishing We have added bottom fishing, including feeder fishing, to the game to enrich your angling experience. You can catch fish by holding the rod in hand or use special rod stands that will let you make multiple casts using a number of rods simultaneously. The rod’s flexible quiver tip will show even a slight fish bite while using an alarm bell is a sure way no to miss it. Fishing with feeder tackle will work almost anywhere, but this method is most popular in Europe, where there the “white”, no-predatory fish are more abundant. Crucian Carp, Bream, Tench, Common Carp, Common Barbel and many other related species are you most likely catch when feeder fishing! Fish feeding and chum Another long-awaited feature coming in this update is fish feeding and chums! How Feeding works: feeding implies “providing food” for certain areas of a waterway to attract fish and keep them in that area. You just load some chum into the feeder and cast it to the desired spots. Once in the water, the chum begins to spread from the feeder over time, creating feed areas that attract fish. To maintain the high-density feed area it’s always a good idea to make repeated casts in the same spot once in a while. Consider that various factors like the water temperature, flow direction, and speed as well as the chum composition and many others affect feed area to create a realistic feel of the process. Making your own chum Basic Mixing: you just add water to a groundbait of your choice and literally create a basic mix with a single click Advanced Mixing: combine various ingredients (groundbait , different chum aromas and some particles) in high precision proportions to create a unique recipe that will fit your needs Keep in mind: the right chum, when used in the right places and conditions will not only increase your fish bites but will attract more diverse and rare fish to the feed area. There is a separate Chum slot in the inventory for all the chum ingredients: groundbaits, different chum aromas, and some particles. Also, you can save the recipe for all mixed chums. Multirods support The coolest thing about bottom fishing is the possibility of using different rods simultaneously! From now on, you’ll no longer need to constantly switch between rods and baits, making the frustrating choice of what fish to catch first and what tackle to use. The multi-rod function will double your chances of a catch and let you enjoy a variety of fish hunting options! We have added new fishing equipment - the Rod Stands, that will let you catch fish using multiple rods at the same time! In this update we added 10+ different kinds of Rod Stands, that mostly differ by bite alarms and their rod capacity, being capable of holding from 1 to 4 rods each. Please note, you can take only one type of rod stands to the waterway. Bottom Fishing Tackle A lot of new tackle has been added to the game for you fully enjoy new types of fishing. This includes bottom rods, feeder rods, new reels, line leaders, open and closed feeder, bells, sinkers, and new small hooks, new strong lines (mono, fluoro and braid), new super heavy casting rods and reels. Tackle Setup updated Now you can assemble bottom fishing and feeder setup in addition to existing spinning and float setups. Also, note that rod setup and character outfit setup are now done in different tabs. New Competitions We have added new competitions on all of the new waterways. Lesni Villa: Catch em' all Tiber: Gentle Barbel, Spin the Salmon, One of us, Two of Asp Zeekanaal: Zander Zeek Differences, Ideal accuracy, Scores from the bottom, Sander Baggersee: Dream Bream Hunt, Big HeadHunters, Danger in the grass, Teenies in the night. Akhtuba: Roach Rider Party of Five Ide, Huuuge Ide New Achievements Make sure to complete the following new achievements on the new and existing waterways to get some cool rewards: Lesni Vila Watcher, Zeekanaal Buccaneer, Tiber Wayfarer Sander Baggersee Camper, Lesni Vila Refiner, Zeekanaal Purifier, Tiber Junk Scavenger, Sander Baggersee Cleaner, Decontaminator, All you need is lure, Holy Float, Bream Master, Predator Carp Master, Sturgeon Master, Roach Master, Lesni Villa Idol, Zeekanaal Top Dog, Tiber Honcho, Sander Baggersee Knight, Lone Star Cleaner, Mudwater Junk Collector, Emerald Junk Catcher, Rocky Lake Cleanser, Neherrin Eco Friend, Falcon Junk Hunter, Everglades Sweeper, White Moose Janitor, Quanchkin Junker, Saint-Croix Purifier, San Joaquin Cleanser, Kaniq Creek Sanitizer, Lesni Vila Refiner, Zeekanaal Purifier. Ahtuba Vagrant Ahtuba Patron Ahtuba Junk Explorer Level Cap changed Due to addition of the new waterways, XP requirements between levels have been changed and all waterways balance has been revised. Level Cap has been raised from 40 to 50. New level XP requirements and waterways rebalance Due to the addition of the new waterways, XP requirements between levels have been changed and all waterways balance has been revised. Travel cost has been reduced for some of the existing waterways. XP points have been divided into two parts: Level XP points and Rank XP points. All Rank XP points have been separated from Level XP and frozen together with the ranks. You can continue earning them once you reach new level cap of level 50. On the Leaderboard you can now see both Level and Rank, XP points are summarized to determine player's position on it. You can check your Rank XP in the updated Profile Tab. Hello guys! You know that new European fish have their own unique habits, so we have a few tips for you to catch a really good silver carp or bighead carp in Germany. Firstly you need to know that silver carp and bighead carp mostly feed on zoo and phytoplankton near the water surface. Keep in mind that these huge carp fish almost never sink to the bottom. Secondly, you need to know that it’s large and strong fish! The angler, who decided to catch a few of these giants, should arm themselves with the most powerful match tackles. And third and most importantly - the baited hook must be kept near the surface of the water! Even the largest species can be just in a few centimeters from the surface.

We wanted all anglers to be able to create their own effective feeder mixes, and so we added a simple and more advanced way of making your own chum. Simple chum making: This method will work great for anglers who aren’t too sure about their fishing priorities and have no clear preference as to the fish they want to catch. In that case, all you need to do is purchase a basic groundbait mix from the game store and add some water to it. In just a few moments, you’ll get some effective, ready-to-use chum. Here’s a step by step on what you need to do: 1. Buy a pack of basic groundbait mix 2. Go to the desired waterways 3. Drag the groundbait mix to the chum slot on your assembled feeder tackle (or simply double click on the pack to put in in its place) 4. Mix All done! Advanced chum making. This method is designed for anglers who like to experiment and make the most out of all chum components to have more effective results. This means, you can mix and add different components in the desired proportions: 1. Buy all the components you want 2. Go to the waterways of your choice 3. Open the chum mixing menu 4. Select the desired proportions for all of the ingredients You can even save your recipe if you like. To do that, you simply have to enter a name for it. In the future, you’ll be able to get that same mix, as long as you have all of the ingredients in your inventory. 5. Mix 6. Get your own unique chum, put it into the chum slot, and go catch some of the biggest fish out there! Be careful when selecting the proportions for your chum ingredients. Use such concentrated components like liquid attractants with care: just because the possible proportion for an attractant is 10%, using the maximum amount won’t necessarily make it more effective! Unbalanced chum mixes might actually distract fish from biting. Make sure to carefully read the description of your chum mix components to get a clear idea of what you want to mix and in what proportions. Keep in mind: the right chum, when used in the right places and conditions will not only increase your fish bites, but will attract more diverse and rare fish to the feeding spot! Experiment and explore! Tight lines and happy feeder fishing!

Hey, anglers! Today we’ll take a closer look at one of the key element of feeder fishing, namely, Feeding. Feeding implies “providing food” for a certain areas of a waterway to attract bottom fish and keep them in that area. In this DevBlog entry we’ll tell you all about how the Feeding system functions as a feature within the game. How Feeding works. The chum that you use to feed the selected feed area can have different properties depending on the components used to prepare it. In the game, you can use either basic groundbait mixes by simply adding some water or make your own unique chum by using different components and additives. Either way, the efficiency of your chum will directly depend on the components as well as the conditions in which you plan to use it. You can prepare the chum mix only when you are already at a waterway, because it stays fresh only for a limited in-game period of time and should be used within the time limits shown on a special indicator in your inventory. Separate packed components and particle mixes, on the other hand, have no expiration date. Besides, ready-made chum is very inconvenient in terms of transportation. That’s why once you leave the waterway, all the leftovers remaining from your prepared chum will be automatically disposed of. To start Feeding the fish, you must place the chum into a feeder and cast it to the desired spot. You can find more info about feeders in this DevBlog entry: Feeder Fishing: Part 1 Feeder Fishing: Part 2 Once in the water, the chum begins to spread from the feeder, depending on its components, the type of the feeder you are using and the speed of flow. By seeping from the feeder, the chum creates so-called “Feeding spots” or “feed area” that attract bottom fish to the area. Of course, many factors should be taken into account in order to make the Feeding most effective. You should consider the bottom terrain, time of day, weather conditions, temperature, speed of current, components used for making the chum and what fish they will attract and even the amount of chum you need to distribute in the given area. It is important to keep in mind that even the most efficient and abundant Feeding won’t help you get many bites, if the feed area is initially devoid of fish. That’s why it’s always important to explore and study the waterway to select the areas with abundant fish activity. At this stage, the only way of Feeding in the game will be with the help of feeders. In the future, however, we will most likely be adding other methods, like tossing the chum by hand. But it is too early to talk about at the moment.
