Hey Anglers, Welcome to another page of our diary series about the upcoming updates! Today we're excited to unveil the key component of The Clubs System: The Leagues. Every angler has their own path and goals, but we all know that competitive spirit drives most of us to achieve more, and Leagues will keep your club members at the forefront of their fishing prowess! So, get ready to reel in your excitement and join us as we dive into what's coming your way next! Leagues The League is a leaderboard of club competitions results in the Championship during the Season and the way to compete with the best anglers while being a part of your unique Club within the whole Fishing Planet Community! Leagues will create an engaging and competitive experience for clubs by giving them goals to strive for and a sense of progression as they improve their skills. Club Points Club Points will be the points that members of clubs earn individually for various game and club activities. The sum of all earned Club Points by players is the club will make a huge impact on your club and lead it to the win. The club that earns the most Club Points wins. *But don’t forget that you can earn Club Points only during the active Season. Seasons The Fishing Planet League system will be divided into Seasons, usually lasting for a few months. At the end of each season players may receive rewards based on their final score, composed by the sum of Club Points in your Club, and the rankings are often reset to some extent to start a new season from scratch. All clubs in the game compete to earn Club Points to win. The competition happens automatically, as it involves comparing the Club Points earned throughout the Season. At the end of the Season, the winning clubs will receive Season Trophies, and their members will receive rewards. At the beginning and at the end of the season all clubs receive notifications. The season starts and ends automatically. Championships A Championship is a weekly competition within the Season. The competition is automatic, it counts by comparing earned Club Points during the Championship. Another important part of a competitive activity created within the Championship are Divisions. Division is a group of clubs from the same league that compete exclusively amongst each other in order to earn the Club Points. Divisions are formed anew before each championship. The size of a division ranges from 6 to 11 clubs in a single league. For each Championship you will need to earn Club Points from scratch. After the end of the Championship, the Divisions will be disbanded to start anew with the next Championship. The clubs that were first in their Division move to the next League, and the players of the club receive rewards. And now we are coming to the most delicious part: League Bonuses and Rewards When the club is in a certain League the members of the club receive bonuses in experience and credits for fish caught. Every fish caught while the club is in the League counts. Players who are members of the Season Winners Club receive rewards for winning the Season and League. These are the top 10 clubs that scored the most Club Points during the Season. The reward* is received by every member of the club, regardless of the amount of Club Points collected by them, the main condition is to be in the club at the reward time. *Please note that all awards on the screenshot are only for visual representation. They will be different after the League release! Season Rewards All members of the Season Winner Club receive rewards for their victory. These are the top 3 clubs that scored the most Club Points during the Season. After the Season review, the winning Club will receive the Season Trophy. The Season Trophy will be displayed in the Club Info window. It displays one of the highest Season Trophies won by the club during its lifetime. League Rewards Rewards are in-game currency, items that Players receive at the end of the Championship and Season. Among the main rewards, besides baitcoins, will be special club-series items and Club Tokens. League Trophies League trophies are the special club awards given to Clubs for winning the Championships by scoring in the top 3 clubs in their Division. The club must win in the current League to move to the next one. To receive the Legendary League Trophy, the Club must remain in the League and not be relegated after the Championship. T The League Trophy will be sent to the Club after the Championship Review. Every member of the Club can see the fact of receiving the Trophy in the League Trophy Window. Visually, League Trophies are the statuettes of a fisherman, made of different materials, metal or precious stones. *The Trophies cannot be bought or sold. The future of Fishing Planet is looking brighter than ever with the exciting League update! As we embark on this thrilling journey of championship competitions among angler clubs, your fishing adventures are about to reach the new heights. Stay tuned for more updates, cast your lines, and get ready to make a splash in the world of angling like never before!

We are constantly improving our in-game fishing techniques and creating new fishing opportunities for our players. We want to introduce you to Pulling-up! It is a new fishing mechanic we are very excited to implement. Read more about the New fishing mechanic in Developer Diaries. Pulling-up consists of constant repeatable actions of sharply pulling the line, losing the line, reeling in the loose line and pulling it sharply again. When fishing for a heavyweight fish, it is very important to safely take it out of water. In such cases we commonly use a landing net. Landing Net For fish over 5 kg there is a landing net system as it is necessary to make sure big fish is caught safely. The fish under 5kg is caught without a landing net, for the fish from 5 kg the landing net is not used only if the max load of the weakest element of the tackle is much stronger than the weight of the fish. Landing Net will be disabled by default. You can turn it on/off in the in-game settings! However in some cases the landing net can’t be used even if the fish is big enough, such as: Not enough time passed since the strike; Fish is too high above the surface or too deep below the water; Fish is not tired enough; Player is not looking towards the fish or there are obstacles between the player and the fish; While fishing from the boat, fish are not positioned in the area suitable for landing net usage. We also would like to introduce the following improvements and changes: New reel rotation indicator; Reel breakage system adjustments. Increased time for the breakage and durability level of the reel during overload. So be careful! Please note that broken reels, obtained from the fishing packs, can be repaired! Updated wear system for lines and leaders; New pulling up system for the large fish (fishing rod behavior optimization while pulling up, much more efficient); Fixed issue with alarms on the rod stands. In certain situations, the rod stand might not provide an audible signal, and the fish gets away due to the lack of hookset; The system of big fish coming off the hook has been updated. If your tackle is not ready for a big catch the fish will come off without damaging it. Animation Optimization: Fixed incorrect line behavior when catching underwater items; New Twitching animations. Including polishing the avatar of the player and adding more flexibility to it; New Pulling animations; Twitching animation improvements: polishing the forearm and wrist animation and making rod behavior more flexible. Increasing the range of rod movements when reeling in objects or fish of varying weights. (spinning rod animations. Stay tuned for casting rod animations). Improved sleeve and arm animation for widescreens; Improved spinning animation after the fish comes off the leash; Added visual effects for horizontal tackle load indicator; Landing net animation added; Increased Landing net movement speed. Rod stand improvements: fixed incorrect alarm behavior.

Hey there, fellow anglers! Guess what? It's that special time of the year again – Fishing Planet's anniversary celebration is here! Can you believe it's been 8 amazing years since we cast off into the gaming world with Fishing Planet on Steam? From the very beginning, we had a clear mission: to bring the joy of fishing straight to you, no matter where you are. Over the years, we've spread our love for fishing to various platforms – PlayStation, Xbox, iOS and Android. We've been working hard behind the scenes, fine-tuning every aspect of the game – the physics, the graphics, and the intricate fishing mechanics. We've put extra care into cultivating our fish, ensuring they're hanging out in all the right spots, just like they would in the real world. From humble beginnings with only US lakes and rivers, we set our sights on becoming a global fishing haven. Today, you have the incredible choice of 25 stunning destinations across the map – North America, Europe, South America, Africa and Asia. And we're about to make waves in open waters too! In recent years we have launched the mobile version for both IOS and Android, so you can now take the Fishing Planet experience with you wherever you go. To top it all off, we've set up our official Discord channel, so you can easily connect with your fellow fishing enthusiasts. And speaking of celebrations – swing by our Discord for a huge Anniversary Giveaway! There's a chance to snag some cool prizes including 180 days Premium, DLC, baitcoins and more, so don't miss out. What’s more, in a few weeks we are launching Fishing Planet Clubs and planning to implement Club Leagues to bring our competitive activities to a higher level! Plus, we're making fishing as real as it gets with the New Fishing Mechanics – get ready to feel the thrill of the catch like never before! Finally, we're about to unveil our very first Saltwater Location! Fishing Together takes a new spin too – embark on oceanic explorations with friends, setting sail for an entirely new horizon of fishing excitement. Get ready to reel in those dream catches while enjoying a slew of new tackles and mechanics! There is no release date yet but we will keep you posted, you will see it in our DevDiaries! None of this would have been possible without you – our fantastic community of over 17 million players worldwide. You've made this journey incredible, and we can't thank you enough for sticking with us through these 8 amazing years. And yes, we know we haven’t reached perfection yet as we will never be done growing, but your support, passion, and feedback have fueled our determination to keep pushing the boundaries and making Fishing Planet better. And speaking of celebrations – swing by our Discord for a huge Anniversary Giveaway! There's a chance to snag some cool prizes, so don't miss out. So here's to you, our awesome anglers! Tight lines, smooth casts, and endless fishing adventures await. We're beyond excited for what the future holds and here's to more unforgettable moments on our Fishing Planet!
