Hey Anglers, February brings the Bream Feeder Frenzy Tour, a feeder fishing tournament fully dedicated to Bream! Travel across European waterways, from the Netherlands through Germany to Ukraine, and compete by catching all species and forms of Bream. Fish from the shore using feeder tackle only, keep your 20 heaviest fish, and let total weight decide the winner. Registration begins on February 9th, with the first qualifier starting on February 10th. All details are available in the Sports tab in the game. Once registered, all anglers can enter the tournament locations regardless of level. Before registering, please be sure to review the Competitive Activities Rules. See you in the tournament!

Hey Anglers, We’ve just released a small hotfix to address a few issues that appeared after the latest bug-fix patch. We know console players are eagerly waiting for the Norway Update, and we want to reassure you that the PlayStation release date will be announced within the next several days. Thank you for bearing with us. There’s also one important detail we unfortunately missed in the previous patch notes, related to competitions. Some of you may have noticed that the ratings column has disappeared. Please don’t worry - this is expected behavior, not a bug. As part of our work on a new matchmaking and rating system, this temporary change was necessary. The ratings column will return once the new feature is released, your rating won’t be lost, and points that you are gaining right now ace all calculated and saved. Here’s what’s been addressed in this patch: 1. Resolved an issue where hint messages were repeatedly displayed at the top of the screen. 2. Fixed an issue with an unresponsive window that appeared when a player with the maximum number of marker buoy slots received a shared marker buoy. 3. The float now correctly bounces on waves on Torii No Koto pin in Japan. 4. Addressed a missing personal record message after catching a huge fish on the Valkyrie boat. 5. Adjusted the minimum trophy weight for Atlantic Saury, as the maximum weight of the common fish form exceeded the minimum trophy weight, to keep fish weight ranges consistent within the same location. 6. Fixed ice and Greenland Shark animation issues in the Sharkology mission. 7. Corrected glasses visibility on characters in Photo Mode. 8. The sound effect for putting glasses on and taking them off has been corrected. We appreciate your reports and support as we continue to improve the game. Hey Anglers, We’ve just rolled out a major bug-fix patch on Steam and Epic Games. This update includes a wide range of fixes and improvements across gameplay systems, Fishing Together sessions, boats and water behavior, UI, missions, and visuals with a strong focus on polishing the Norway map, improving performance, and boosting overall game stability. We’ve also made balance adjustments to some of the largest fish in Skårland Fjord: Unique Atlantic Halibut, Unique Greenland Shark, Unique European Sea Sturgeon, and Unique Porbeagle Shark. After analyzing landing-time statistics, we’ve made these giants slightly easier and faster to reel in, and increased their XP rewards so the challenge feels more satisfying and rewarding. Below is a detailed overview of what’s been addressed. User Interface & Controls 1. Corrected level and rank text placement in the “Send a gift” window. 2. Storage icon now consistently appears when receiving gifts. 3. The “Space” key prompt correctly switches to the connected game pad button on the start screen. 4. Removed cases where an unexpected Accept button appeared (or was missing) in the Received Marker Buoy window. 5. The new mission indicator no longer appears when all missions are already reviewed. 6. Weather forecast icons now update only when the actual weather changes. 7. Resolved issues where sunglasses remained visible in the HUD after being removed. 8. Fixed input blocking after removing glasses from the character. 9. Resolved issues where players could not remove glasses from the Inventory tab. 10. Prevented controls from locking after closing the Money Pack window. 11. Camera rotation around a fish in the catch window now works correctly on controllers. 12. Corrected character animation where walking appeared as seated driving in third-person view. 13. Addressed freezes when opening the tablet in stormy waters after a weather change. 14. Ensured the template window is always displayed when received. 15. Updated text in the Repair Kit Critical Condition window for better clarity. Inventory Sorting 16. Inventory sorting state now is saved after traveling from the Globe to a waterway. 17. Category names are now shown even when a category contains no items. 18. Secondary sorting parameters now respect the direction of the primary sorting parameter. 19. Corrected special sorting behavior for Chum Capacity and Max Line Weight Boats, Water & Navigation 20. Improved boat movement transitions from pins to driver points on Valkyrie boat. 21. Prevented the Valkyrie from drifting after reopening the game or using time forward. 22. Boat speed is now correctly limited when moving backward in Stormy Waters. 23. Reduced excessive shaking when an anchored yacht collided with cruise liners at the Maldives. 24. Regattas at the Maldives will no longer collide with player yachts. 25. Improved sea water visuals when driving the Valkyrie in rough waters. 26. Navigation buoys now better match wave motion in stormy conditions. 27. Eliminated long delays when switching to stormy water after time forward. 28. Fixed cases where snow and rain passed through the roof and windows of Ingrid boat. 29. Smoothed coastline geometry near waterfalls to prevent boats from getting stuck. 30. Adjusted the color of water in the start scene. 31. Ice now reacts correctly when hit by Maldives and Japan boats. 32. Prevented extending rent on moving boats when there are insufficient Credits. 33. Fixed freezes caused by attempting to teleport via tablet while actions were active. 34. Fixed cases where fish finder and radar did not display fish correctly. Fishing Together Sessions (FT) 35. Corrected liner position desynchronization between captain and guests after time forward. 36. Fixed incorrect pin highlighting on the local map after finishing FT from a secondary pin. 37. Restored the Go Fishing Together button on the local map when FT is active. 38. HUD and cast rods now properly reset for guests after host teleportation on a Navigation Buoy. 39. Rod holders on the Valkyrie boat now animate correctly for guests from the host’s view. 40. Prevented boats from continuing to move for FT participants after captain teleportation. 41. Resolved freezing when a guest caught a fish and the host cancelled FT mid-action. 42. Synchronized cloud types for all FT participants. 43. Fixed cases where FT sessions froze during loading. 44. Corrected Xbox controller selection issues when choosing the first FT guest. 45. To help Santa you need to complete Fishmas missions Catch a required amount of Antlered Salmon to harness them in Santa’s sleigh instead of his runaway reindeer. Once you arrive at waterways, find Santa's bag on the pier to get started with the task of collecting boxes with presents. You’ll find Green boxes on Emerald Lake, Blue boxes on Falcon Lake, White boxes on Tiber River, and Red boxes on White Moose Lake. Skårland Fjord, Norway Set out for a brand-new destination — Skårland Fjord, Norway, 10x10 km which makes it 100 square kilometers (almost 25,000 acres) of icy Norwegian Sea. These waters are home to 25 cold-water fish species, all of them completely new to Fishing Planet, including regional icons like Norwegian Atlantic Salmon, Herring, several Cod species, as well as predators such as the European Angler. With every form and variation, Skårland Fjord offers 79 fish to discover, making it one of the most diverse and content-rich waterways in the game! Players can unlock this location at level 105, or dive right into the fishing saga with one of the DLC packs, each including 30- or 60-day access, plus an Advanced License and Premium account for the same time period. The maximum level cap in the game has been increased from 100 to 110. Long awaited crane for huge fish available now! Introducing a brand-new Valkyrie fishing boat that stays stable in rough waters keeping its speed, cuts through high waves, and even breaks ice! It’s all about getting more out of every trip at sea. With 3 rod holders per angler, all four players on board can fish multiple rods at once — meaning more bites and way more fish in the same amount of time. The rod holders are fully adjustable, so you can set everything up exactly the way you like. While this boat is focused mostly on bottom fishing, you can still take it across all saltwater locations in the game and use it for trolling as well. For truly massive catches, the Valkyrie features a heavy-fish crane. Once your catch hits a certain weight, the crane lifts it aboard and lets you snap stunning shots of your haul. And the best part is that you don't have to own the boat, since all guests in Fishing Together sessions can share the crane for their giant fish as well. The Valkyrie comes equipped with an extra-large 3,500 kg fish storage with max fish capacity of 720 kg. For the first time in the game, an ocean boat features refrigerated, fish-friendly storage, keeping your catch in top condition and rewarding you with a generous +20% Credits and +20% XP bonus for every fish. Add the ability to fish with four rods at once, and you’ll quickly notice how much faster you can level up. Dive into a new chain of Adventure Missions and help out the local residents along the way. Electric Rods and Reels Setups Some of the new species in Skårland Fjord can grow to truly massive sizes — up to 700 kg. To take on giants like these, Electric Rods and Reels are finally making their debut in Fishing Planet. This update introduces two brand-new equipment categories: Electric Saltwater Bottom Casting Rods and Electric Saltwater Casting Reels. Designed to work together, electric rod and reel setups are built to handle extreme pressure where regular gear simply won’t hold up. Electric reels make your life much easier – with the push of a button, they automatically pull in the line, giving you a huge advantage against deep-sea predators. When mounted on a rod holder, electric reels become even more efficient and help you maintain better control over multiple rods at once. Please note that electric reels also feature a manual mode which offers a higher Max Load. You can switch between manual mode and electric mode for optimal reeling in different situations. Electric reels also come with different reeling speeds, so feel free to experiment and find the best match for each type of fish. Saltwater Spinning Rods for vertical jigging These rods are generally shorter, with a highly responsive blank and a reinforced tip, allowing for sharp, repetitive vertical movements—perfect for lifting and dropping heavy jigs with precision. You can also switch between ascending and descending order, hide or show subgroups, and keep everything clean and easy to navigate. Large inventories are now far more comfortable to handle. Expand or collapse item groups with a single click and jump straight to what you need — no more endless scrolling. This is just the first step of our ongoing Inventory rework, with more improvements planned for future updates. A Living Ecosystem and Immersion Skårland Fjord feels more alive thanks to locals living in the area, and active wildlife including seals, dolphins and orcas regularly appearing in the water around you. The weather adds to the atmosphere, bringing long daylight hours, bright white nights, and a sky that’s constantly changing. Calm, cloudy days can quickly shift into powerful storms with rough seas, lightning and thunder, and snowfall. And when conditions are just right, the northern lights may appear, turning an ordinary fishing trip into something truly memorable. Rough Waters Zones Brace yourself for Rough Water Zones, where the waves rise and you’ll need to slow down. You’ll get a notification as you approach these areas, and the HUD icon will change to let you know you’ve entered waters where extra caution is needed. Repair Kits A long-awaited quality-of-life improvement is here: you can now repair items without equipping them from your character. Simply click the Wrench icon next to an item and confirm — fast, clean, and hassle-free. We’re also introducing a brand-new feature — Repair Kits. Long fish fights and constant pressure can wear down even the toughest gear, and now you have a way to stay in the action without interruptions. Repair Kits let you fix your equipment right on the waterway, without returning to the Global Map or unequipping your setup — even during Competitions, Tournaments, or Fishing Together sessions. And for Premium SE series items, repairs are possible even after they’ve been fully broken. You’ll be able to repair any item in your Inventory with a single click, whenever you need it. Missions, Competitions and Achievements Put your skills to the test in 5 Competitions and unlock 14 brand-new Achievements. Take on numerous Exploring, Collecting, Mastering, and Fishing Together missions to sharpen your angling skills, enjoy the journey, and earn useful rewards that will carry your fishing saga deeper into the fjord. We’ve also made a few improvements in the Competitions UI: simplified entering competitions by introducing a unified interface, whether a player is registered in one competition or multiple ones. Now, when you get a Competition Start Window now allows the following: 1. If you’re on another waterway and click on Start, you will be transferred to the Global Map so as to make sure you have all the needed equipment for the competition and then join it on the waterway. 2. If you’re already on the Global Map, the window will take you directly to the competition waterway, or you can just close it if you are still making preparations in the Inventory. 3. If you’re already on the competition waterway, you’ll enter the competition immediately. We’ve also added a new Finish Competition button, allowing you to leave a competition at any time if you don’t wish to continue. Along with that, we made several small adjustments to make the overall experience clearer and more comfortable. This is just the first iteration of the updated Competitions UI, and we plan to keep improving it—so feel free to share your feedback on these changes. Bug Fix for Multiple Issues As usual, big releases bring a lot of fixes for the issues that’s been resolved before and had to be delivered to the live servers. One important improvement we’d like to highlight concerns how large fish are displayed. Previously, after catching a fish, it would appear on the grip with the usual keep/release and photo mode options. However, for very large fish this often looked unrealistic, with the fish's head filling most of the screen and causing visual issues. To solve this, large catches will now be shown directly in the character’s hands, skipping the grip stage for a more visually clean presentation. Here’s what’s been fixed, resolved and improved. Boats, Yachts & Water Behavior 1. Resolved an issue where boat speed dropped during trolling when captains switched at higher speeds. 2. Addressed cases where yachts could be throttled to 100% while anchored with rods cast out. 3. Fixed different liners position for captain and guests after time forward. 4. Resolved an issue where an anchored yacht would shake excessively after colliding with cruise liners. 5. Fixed an issue where player physics could break if the captain teleported to a buoy when another player’s rod was cast. 6. Eliminated cases where speed indicators did not properly reflect engine state after reconnecting in Fishing Together. 7. Corrected wave direction so it now properly matches wind direction at the Maldives location when the wind changes. 8. Prevented wave direction changes after modifying Ocean Water settings. 9. That’s why the equipment in this update is crafted to stand firm in the cold, endure the struggle, and rise to any challenge these waters dare to throw at a Brave Angler like you. You’ll also learn about several quality-of-life improvements coming with this update — new Inventory Sorting, easier ways to repair your gear, and more. So let’s dive into everything that’s coming your way! With Skårland Fjord, we’re excited to introduce several new equipment brands to Fishing Planet. You’ll soon get to know Njörinvik™, inspired by rugged Nordic engineering; AquaVolt™, built around state-of-the-art electric technologies; and Tungsten™, a new premium brand specializing in high-performance terminal tackle. And with good reason — some of the new species in this location can reach up to 700 kg. To take on such giants, Electric Rods and Reels will finally make their debut in the game. New Inventory Sorting As the game expands and dozens of new items arrive with every new waterway, your Inventory inevitably grows too — and we know it has become harder to navigate. That’s why it’s time to begin reworking the system to make managing your gear simpler and more comfortable. With this update, we’re introducing new Inventory Sorting Filters. Each category in your Inventory will now have a filter icon next to it, allowing you to choose exactly how you want the items in that category to be displayed. This gives you more control, faster navigation, and a cleaner, more intuitive experience when organizing your equipment. You can group your items by Name, Level, Hook Size, Weight, Line Capacity, Durability and so on - the available sorting options will differ depending on the category, showing only the parameters relevant to the items within that category. You can also choose whether to sort items in ascending or descending order, and show or hide Subgroups if you want. You can also expand and collapse item groups with a single click. Just tap the arrow next to any subcategory, and the inventory will unfold to show everything inside that group. Tap it again, and the section neatly closes back up. It’s a simple way to navigate large inventories without scrolling through endless lists. We hope the new Inventory Sorting improvements will enhance your experience and help you better organize your equipment. This is the first phase of our ongoing Inventory rework, and additional improvements are planned for future updates. Jigging Lures Saltwater Softbaits Softbaits are trending among anglers who value adaptable fishing techniques. Built to withstand abrasion, salt, and toothy fish, they're perfect for tough fights in demanding conditions. Steel Leaders Made from tough steel wire, these leaders are built to handle aggressive, sharp-toothed fish. Their rigid construction resists bite damage and abrasion, making them a reliable choice for high-stress saltwater predator fishing. Saltwater Glowing Mono Lines This mono line is crafted from high-performance materials that provide long-lasting durability. Its deep red color fades underwater, taking advantage of the natural light spectrum to stay less visible. Harder for fish to spot, it creates a more natural presentation and improves your chances of getting more bites. Saltwater Glowing Braids This four-strand braided line offers a smooth, round profile that cuts through the water quickly. The near-zero stretch lets you feel even the lightest bite, while the high-strength PE fibers resist abrasion. A special color-lock coating prevents fading and protects against UV damage, keeping the line bright and reliable over time. Saltwater Golden Hooks These hooks are crafted by Tungsten™, a brand known for premium terminal tackle. A round heavy-duty hook designed for long, secure fights. Equipped with side barbs that lock the catch firmly in place, making it much harder for the fish to shake loose during intense, drawn-out battles. Saltwater Sinkers These solid cylindrical sinkers are produced by Tungsten™. They help your rig cut through waves and stay put in strong currents. Their shape reduces snagging on rocky seabeds, making them a great choice for saltwater bottom fishing. Baits No fishing journey is complete without the right bait. The waters of the Norwegian Sea are home to creatures that can be downright brutal. To match their temperament, we’re introducing a new selection of baits crafted for deep-water predators and the sharp-toothed giants with options like Atlantic Herring, Lesser Sand Eel, Atlantic Mackerel Cut Baits, Bluey, Seal Blubber, Ragworms, Black Lugworms, Peeler Crab, and Razor Shell. For live bait, we’ve added Atlantic Herring and Lesser Sand Eel — both common in the region and well-known to local predators. Herring has that oily flesh and bright flash underwater that big fish senses instantly, while Sand Eel moves just the way northern bottom-feeders expect, making it an easy and familiar target. Together, they cover everything from mid-water hunters to deep-bottom species, giving you reliable bait that actually matches what these fish see every day. The prepared options such as Atlantic Mackerel Cut Baits and Bluey provide tough, oily chunks that create a strong scent trail for Flatfish, Norway Seaperch, European Angler, Spiny Dogfish, and European Sea Sturgeon. We’re also adding a range of natural baits that are widely used in northern saltwater fishing. Seal Blubber, Ragworms, Black Lugworms, Peeler Crab, Razor Shell – these are things local predators feed on every day, so they react to them quickly and predictably. Repair Kits Even the strongest gear can only take so much when the North decides to test you. Long fights, heavy tension, and deep-water pressure will wear down any setup eventually — no matter how well it’s built. To make sure your gear stays with you through every battle, we’re introducing a new feature: Repair Kits. These kits are a special set of tools that let you fix your equipment right on the waterway, without returning to the Global Map or having to unequip your setup — even during Competitions, Tournaments, or Fishing Together sessions. And for Premium SE series items, you can repair them even after they’ve been fully broken. Just take a few Repair Kits with you on your trip, and you’ll be able to fix any item in your Inventory with a single click whenever needed. When you're on the Globe and need to repair an item, simply click the Wrench icon next to it and confirm the repair — everything will be done in a second, and your items will remain exactly where they were. Valkyrie Fishing Boat To make your time at sea even more productive, Valkyrie boat now features three rod holders per angler, allowing all four players on board to fish with multiple rods at once. This significantly increases how much you can catch within the same amount of time. Just like on the Chamaeleon Catamaran, Valkyrie’s rod holders are fully adjustable — you can tilt them up or down and rotate them left or right to position each rod exactly the way you want. Your catch will now stay fresh much longer thanks to the brand-new, fish-friendly refrigerated storage system. It preserves the quality of every fish you keep, increasing its selling value. Toothy Trio We know sharks are a favourite among many of you, so we made sure to include a few in these icy waters. These predators are capable of breaking leaders and overpowering poorly matched setups, offering intense and highly rewarding encounters, with significant experience and profit gains. But before we get to sharks, we must admit that although our Brave Angler may be strong enough to hoist even the biggest giants for a photo, some catches deserve a bit of extra help. It’s finally time to bring a more realistic touch to your fishing experience. The Valkyrie boat will come equipped with a powerful crane that lets you lift massive fish with ease and display them for stunning shots of your haul. All fish that weigh more than 150 kg will be hung on the crane when using the Valkyrie boat. These vessels are inspired by the sturdy workboats commonly used by local fishermen in the region. Ingrid It’s a sturdy, traditional Norwegian fishing boat built for rough northern waters. With its compact wheelhouse, reinforced hull, and practical working deck, it reflects the no-nonsense style of coastal fishing vessels used across the fjords. Reliable and steady even in harsh weather, Ingrid is perfect for navigating narrow inlets and rocky coastlines. This boat will be available for rent on the new location, giving every Angler a chance to experience authentic Nordic fishing. Valkyrie This powerful, modern Norwegian-style fishing vessel was built to withstand the harshest seas. Its sharp lines, reinforced hull, and spacious deck make it perfect for chasing giant fish across stormy fjords. Its name draws inspiration from the Valkyries of Norse mythology, legendary warriors whose shimmering armor was said to create the northern aurora lights as it reflected the light of the sun and stars. Ranvika Marina Your journey starts in Ranvika Marina, a quiet harbor that hosts all of the weathered fishing vessels coming into the landing. Explore to the west into the majestic beauty of the fjord, tracing its hidden coves, or set a course straight ahead into the open sea. Skarvika Another place to start your fishing day is Skarvika - a fishing village set against the raw edge of the Norwegian Sea, with old rorbuer, traditional Norwegian cabins, lining the shore. While the map has two main starting points, you’ll still find several places to go ashore, explore on foot, and fish in calmer waters. And, as always, there will be missions to complete - a chance to meet the locals and get to know the area better. Under Northern Skies While Skårland Fjord is a winter-themed region, its climate in the game reflects the real conditions of late May, a magical time when the midnight sun season begins. Days stretch almost endlessly, and on clear nights you’ll witness the mesmerizing white nights, when the sky never fully darkens and the world feels suspended between day and night. Expect the full mood of the North. Most days bring shifting clouds with the sun breaking through, but the fjord can turn wild in an instant. You’ll face powerful storms with thunder and lightning, rough seas, icy winds, and sudden bursts of snow. And when night does fall or the sky dims enough, you may be lucky to see the northern lights. Under the right weather conditions, the aurora will sweep across the sky in shimmering waves of green and violet, turning your fishing trip into an unforgettable spectacle. Rough Waters Zones Another new feature Anglers will definitely like is the Rough Water Zones, where the waves rise and you’ll need to slow down a bit. You’ll get a notification as you approach these areas, and the HUD icon will change to let you know you’ve entered waters where extra caution is needed. But don’t worry, Nordic boats are made for this. You’ll cut through waves and even break ice without losing control. This is only the beginning of what we’re preparing for Skårland Fjord.
