Supernatural Explorer Diary As Halloween draws near, the air turns crisp, the days grow shorter, and a thick, low fog rolls in at dusk, blanketing everything in a misty veil. The wind whispers through the trees, carrying with it the scent of damp earth and fallen leaves, rustling softly as if nature itself is preparing for something ominous. There’s a sense of anticipation, the world is holding its breath, waiting for the mysterious wonder of Halloween night, and the Fishing Planet community is eagerly awaiting for one of their favorite events in the game! Our journey begins on the Mudwater River, where the remnants of a long-sunken ship lie. Among the wreckage, we uncover an old chest, weathered by both water and time. As we pry it open, a layer of algae and sand gives way to reveal the Diary of the Supernatural Explorer inside. The whereabouts of the explorer and the fate that befell him remain shrouded in mystery. Many pages of the diary have not survived, and some are heavily damaged. Within its worn covers lie a collection of gripping tales and intricate sketches. Were these terrifying monsters mere figments of his imagination, or did they truly exist? It’s up to our Brave Angler to unravel this mystery. As you explore the pages of the Supernatural Explorer’s Diary, the ancient legends within come to life. You’ll face mythical creatures such as the Slide Rock Bolter, Armored Bighead, Double-Headed Eel, Dingonek, Akkorokamui, and Vampire Fish, among others - monsters that emerge from the misty mountains of Colorado to the distant Japanese islands. Guided by the Diary, your journey will take you across the globe, uncovering mysteries tied to haunted sunken ships and cursed waters. Every page reveals a new tale and each mission is rooted in the local legends and traditions of the region where it takes place, drawing you into the rich folklore and eerie tales that have haunted these lands for centuries. You will face terrifying creatures straight from the myths of each location. These missions will test your courage, skill, and preparation as you battle supernatural forces using powerful lures crafted from traditional items and mystical artifacts tied to the region's history. You’ll need to craft those lures from ingredients like grave soil, stale wine, fireflies, and enchanted relics to face these terrifying beasts. Each challenge brings you closer to uncovering the dark secrets behind these ancient legends. The event lures—such as the Labradorite Spoon, Silicone Finger Tube, Piranha Duo Swimbait, Silver Bullet, Pearl Squid Jig, and Skull Jig—along with unique baits like Dried Fish Head, Rotten Liver, Suttung’s Mead, Pig's Heart, Bloody Flies, Blood Dough Balls, Cursed Aracu Minnow, Boiled Crawfish, and Poisonous Maggots—will aid you in overcoming the challenges and missions that await, enhancing your chances of success as you delve deeper into the mysteries of the event. After overcoming numerous challenges and missions across all continents, just when you think the adventure is over and you've earned your reward for completing the event—a beautifully crafted spinning setup featuring the Katana Soul 220 rod and the Samurai Shadow 15000 reel, Sou'wester Hat and a pond pass for distant island of Kaiji No Ri in Japan—a new challenge emerges, pushing you to face yet another fearsome monster! And trust us, it’s a finale worthy of the bravest anglers! For those bold enough to complete the last mission, the ultimate reward awaits: the Japanese Squid Kabuto. This beautifully crafted helmet, symbolizing the mystical strength of the ocean, merges the warrior’s protection with the elegance of a true masterpiece. It represents power, resilience, and readiness to face any challenge that comes your way. Event Challenges Don’t overlook the additional challenges that accompany the main storyline! In Bolivia, you’ll encounter the Skull Challenges, where you must pay homage to the ancestors of the local people by completing their tasks. These challenges are not only a test of skill but also a way to connect with the rich cultural heritage of the region. Another exciting challenge is the Ringing Ghost Bells, where you’ll need to showcase your dexterity and agility. Your goal is to ring all the ghost bells of the St. Sebastian Church within the allotted time. If you succeed, the ancient gods will lend their support, helping you overcome any malevolent spirits that may stand in your way. You will also encounter something that you already know from the previous years. Pumpkin Candy Bait will be there for you to catch Bluegill skeleton event fish on all the freshwater locations, and accomplish Sweet Tooth achievement. These Halloween pumpkin jellies are just the perfect bait to liven up that holiday spirit and awaken your inner child as you go on a night hunt after monstrous bony anomalies that find pumpkin Candy simply irresistible! And don’t forget to hunt for the wheels from Phantom Ships, scattered across the waterways involved in the event! Collecting them will reward you with special event baits and exclusive items. Each waterway holds its own secrets, so keep your eyes open as you explore. Be sure to interact with every object you come across—every location has its own surprises waiting for you. Don’t miss a thing! There's something else to boost your Halloween spirit! Throughout the entire event, the regular rental kayak will be replaced with the Coffin Kayak from previous Halloween events. To take it for a spin, simply leave your own kayak at home and head to any boat pin at any location to rent this spooky ride. Enjoy! And for those who love testing their luck on the Reel of Fortune, we’ve got something special for you too! We've added some event baits to the Golden Reel, so don't hesitate—give it a spin and see what you win. Hey Anglers, Noomaa Kuda Atholhu, Maldives, is now available on iOS and Android. Thank you for your patience while we worked on additional optimizations. Mobile platforms have certain build size limitations, and we wanted to make sure everything runs smoothly. The Nintendo Switch release will follow soon. Don’t forget to claim your special gift, the Crabby Cap, in the Personal Offers tab and jump in to explore what’s new. And now let’s get down to what’s new: - Noomaa Kuda Atholhu, Maldives Get ready to explore a brand-new tropical destination spanning 400 square kilometers (nearly 100,000 acres) of open ocean! This massive area features 55 fully explorable atolls, islands, and ocean spits—perfect for discovery and fishing from the shore. You’ll find 28 fish species swimming these waters, including 14 completely new additions to the game: Swordfish, Black Marlin, Sailfish, Great Barracuda, Blacktip Reef Shark, Two-Spot Red Snapper, Wahoo and many more. Fish at this location generally grow bigger and stronger, bringing a whole new layer of challenge to the fish fighting experience into the game. Players can unlock this destination at level 94, or dive right into the adventure with one of the DLC packs, each including 30- or 60-day access, plus an Advanced License and Premium account for the same time period. The maximum level cap in the game has been increased from 90 to 100. - Ocean Clouds and Marine Life Simulation for more immersive experience We developed custom technology that makes ocean skies in the game feel more real and immersive than ever before. Unlike those over freshwater, ocean clouds are often larger, taller, and more dramatic, fueled by constant heat and moisture. We’ve also added sunny, cloudless weather and a subtle heat haze effect to enhance the sensation of hot, shimmering air. To bring this to life. We’ve enhanced Marine Life Simulations with an extra layer of depth. Alongside seagulls and tuna leaping from the water, you’ll now notice additional visual cues to help locate fish—such as rays, dolphins, flying fish, and more. Beyond these functional indicators, there’s plenty to explore in the natural beauty of the environment. With crystal-clear turquoise waters, you can see straight through to the colorful coral reefs teeming with vibrant marine life—like sharks and exotic fish—as well as other immersive elements such as divers, all contributing to the authentic vibe of the location. - A brand new fishing yacht with color customization feature The all-new Chameleon Catamaran is your ultimate ride for big game fishing parties with room for 5 players on board. Packing a massive 3,000 kg fish storage and a 650 kg max fish capacity, it’s ready to keep even the most Unique beasts this destination has to offer. Every angler onboard gets their own fishing spot with two adjustable rod holders and a personal display loaded with Fish Finder 360, Echo Sounder, and a GPS Map while having their rods in sight. But what makes this yacht special is that it comes with an exclusive color customization feature. Only the bravest anglers can earn it by taking on a series of challenging missions that lead to the ultimate showdown with the biggest monster in the game… Chamaeleon Catamaran can be obtained with two heavy-duty trolling setups from high-technology Tsurihito™ fishing brand, a generous supply of lures and baits for your big game fishing, and a spacious Tackle Wagon accommodating over 300 items, you'll have all essential fishing gear at your fingertips in Chamaeleon Cruiser Pack. With 60-days of access, Advanced License and Premium account, additional Marker and Navigation Buoys we got you covered for an unforgettable escape from the mundane. - New Bottom Spinning Gear Another exciting addition to the game is Saltwater Bottom Spinning fishing. You get new specialized rods designed for targeting fish that dwell near the ocean floor. These rods blend the sensitivity and versatility of traditional spinning setups with the strength and durability required for deep-sea conditions. They are perfect for catching bottom-dwelling predators such as Groupers, Snappers, Black-Tip Reef Shark, and various reef species. These rods have a strong backbone and a sensitive tip to detect subtle bites and handle the weight of heavy fish. Paired with saltwater spinning reels offering high drag capacity and corrosion resistance, they’re built to meet the demands of bottom fishing in saltwater environments. An ultra-powerful bottom spin setup from Tsurihito™ and an extra-long spinning set from Fletch and Bradford™ go in the Atoll Scout Pack. All kinds of baits and lures specially designed to chase exotic ocean species, and a super spacious 400+ items Tackle Wagon Vault™ to have everything you need, will make your ocean fishing smooth and easy. A tropical Angler’s outfit with polarized glasses and the AquaRay™ headlamp will fill your 30-day journey through the Maldives atolls with extra comfort. - Vertical Jigging Retrieval Try out a new fishing technique in the game — Vertical Jigging — where lures like pilkers, spoons, jigs, and more are dropped straight down into the depths and retrieved with sharp, jerking motions to mimic injured prey. This method draws in predatory fish from all depths — from the bottom to the midwater layers — provoking strikes through sudden lure movements. Vertical jigging is a precise and effective way to fish, offering anglers the chance to engage fish directly below the boat in deep or open waters. To help you master the technique, the game tracks your retrievals in real-time, so you’ll know exactly when you’re doing it right. - New Saltwater Items Experiment with the new saltwater gear that is now available in the In-game Store. You’ll find massive Saltwater Poppers and Spoons, brand-new Triple-Hook Pilkers—perfect for targeting aggressive ocean predators. For trolling fans, there’s a full set of new gear, including Luminous Trolling Octopuses and the versatile Trolling Skirt Rig, which consists of a Trolling Skirt, Head and Hook. - Livebait Trolling Rig A specialized fishing setup made for trolling live baitfish behind a moving boat. To support this method, we’ve introduced a range of new baits, including various sizes of Flying Fish, Indian Ocean Squid, and Split Tail Mullet to tempt predators like Swordfish, Tuna, Marlin, Barracuda, and more. - Missions, Competitions, Achievements, Monsters Take on two engaging Monster Missions series and come face-to-fin with two formidable ocean predators. This time, the Brave Angler must confront the fast and legendary Night Windrazor — a true hunter of the dark — and the terrifying Hordecuda, a horde of monsters unlike anything you’ve faced in the game before. Dive into a challenge of 6 all-new thrilling competitions and get up close with vibrant marine life of the Maldives. Unlock 11 fresh achievements as you explore every stretch of these tropical waters — and only the most curious and relentless adventurers will earn the hidden achievement. - Sounds improvements We’ve introduced a range of sound improvements to enhance your experience. These include new drag and reeling sounds for both saltwater and freshwater reels, updated casting sounds that now vary based on distance and reel type, and refined reel opening/closing sounds. Additionally, some splashing sounds for floats, lures, and fish have been updated. New background music has also been added to the main menu. - Limits Increased We’ve increased the limits for several key features to give you more flexibility and room to grow. The maximum number of Marker Buoys has been raised from 1700 to 2000, Setup Templates from 200 to 250, and Groundbait Mix Recipes from 50 to 100. Now you can plan, organize, and make more room for your fishing strategy. -A bug fix has been implemented Fixed marker buoys accepted in club chat not showing up in 3D until the game was restarted Fixed Club-Series Glowing Pear-Shaped Float not glowing properly Corrected the description text for a rod stand in the shop Resolved incorrect appearance of navigation buoys in photo mode With the introduction of the new Live Baits category, the Japanese Squid has been reassigned to it. As a result, it can no longer be used with bottom rods. If you had setups where bottom rods were equipped with this bait, the Japanese Squid will now be unequipped and automatically moved to your Backpack. Fixed an exploit where trolling bonus was granted while the boat engine was running and anchored Resolved an error occurring when attempting to teleport using navigation buoys Fixed an issue where players couldn’t place a rod on a rod stand after competition scoring time ended Updated achievement tracking: Nile Perch now counts toward the Perch Captain achievement Fixed text overflow on the MAKE CAPTAIN (PREMIUM) button in French The level for some Saltwater Braid Lines was changed. Resolved issue with shared buoys not appearing in the accept list Adjusted overly bright lighting on some objects during morning sun Fixed competition ending unexpectedly when trying to change spot Improved tab focus behavior when changing days or switching between tabs Corrected rod name display in the 3D view Resolved issue where players on boats could pass through other boats due to collision settings Fixed character model misalignment when rotating camera on kayak in photo mode Smoothed out slingshot animation in both first-person and third-person views Resolved overflow issue in the Friends > Options menu with more than 6 options Fixed heavy collision between fishing gear and grass on the San Joaquin pier Adjusted tournament description text to display properly across multiple languages Closed an exploit spot behind the rock with water access on the Selenge River The in-game shop price for Squid Chains was changed to balance the game economics system. Tell us in the comments you are the one who did it! Resolved issue preventing completion of the Congo Chercheur achievement Improved club logos quality on the Club List screen. Fixed scrolling issues in the Inventory on mobile devices. Added support for profile avatars on Android. Adjusted Product Detail Window to properly fit mobile screens. Resolved issue where UI elements under the top bar disappeared when opening Settings on the Globe or Local Map. Fixed issue where no rod was visible in hands when loading into a location. Hey Anglers, Noomaa Kuda Atholhu, Maldives, one of the most stunning and luxurious fishing destinations on the planet, has finally arrived on PlayStation! As it was on Steam and Epic Games, we invite you to celebrate this event with a special gift for everyone: the crazy-bazy Crabby Cap! Claiming it is easy—just open the game and head to the Personal Offers tab. Enjoy! And to all players on other platforms — bringing the Maldives to you is our top priority, and we’re working hard to make it happen as soon as possible! Stay tuned! -A bug fix has been implemented Fixed incorrect display of inventory item thumbnails in the Inventory tab Fixed marker buoys accepted in club chat not showing up in 3D until the game was restarted Fixed Club-Series Glowing Pear-Shaped Float not glowing properly Corrected the description text for a rod stand in the shop Resolved incorrect appearance of navigation buoys in photo mode With the introduction of the new Live Baits category, the Japanese Squid has been reassigned to it. Hey Anglers, Today marks a very special day for us. Exactly 10 years ago, Fishing Planet was introduced to the world on Steam. What started as a small project by a tight-knit team - more like a family - has grown into something we never imagined. And now, our beloved creation is celebrating its very first jubilee! Anniversaries are the perfect time to reflect on the journey: to look back at milestones, draw some conclusions, and set bold intentions for the future. So let’s rewind to the very beginning. Some of you have been with us from the very start and remember just how small the game once was, and how much it has grown. And for those who joined more recently, it might come as a surprise that the very first location wasn’t Lone Star Lake. Back in August 2015, the original launch included Emerald Lake, along with Rocky Lake, Mudwater River, Neherrin River, Falcon Lake, Everglades, and the San Joaquin Delta. Later that year, Saint-Croix Lake arrived in October, followed by White Moose Lake in December. Lone Star Lake didn’t appear until April 2016, with Canique Creek joining in August the same year. Quanchkin Lake opened its waters to players in January 2017. 2018 was a landmark year for European destinations. In December, we introduced Lesni Vila, Ghent-Terneuzen Canal, Tiber River, and Sander Baggersee Lake, followed by Weeping Willow Fisheries in March 2019. The adventure continued in 2020 with Blue Crab Island, Maku-Maku Lake, and the Marron River. Then, in 2021, came the stunning Amazonian Maze along with the ever-popular Congo River. The Selenge River in Mongolia arrived in June 2022, and just two years later, the long-awaited Ocean at Kaiji No Ri launched in June 2024, adding to the game a whole new level of challenge with saltwater fishing and Fishing Together with your buddies on the same boat. In December 2024, we added something deeply meaningful - our home location in Ukraine, a small Christmas gift both to our players and ourselves. And just this summer, the breathtaking and luxurious Maldives made their debut on Steam and Epic Games, with other platforms soon to follow. And speaking of platforms, there are already eight! Fishing Planet launched on PlayStation in 2017, followed by Xbox and UWP in 2019, iOS and Android in 2023, Epic Games in 2024, and Nintendo Switch in 2025 - making the game available on nearly every widely used platform around the world, just a download away! From dozens of fishing techniques and mechanics to competitions, seasonal events, and hundreds of unique fishing items - sometimes it’s hard to believe all of this was created by a small, passionate team of fewer than 50 people. And thinking about all of this, we can’t forget that it’s you - our incredible community - who make it all possible. All of you who love the game (and sometimes hate it too), who invest hundreds of hours mastering your skills and precision, who support us through feedback, bug reports, in-game purchases, and by being active in the community on social media - you’re the reason the world of Fishing Planet exists. Without you, none of it would have any meaning. To give you a sense of how massive our shared Planet has become, we’ve gathered some statistics, and some fun facts for you: There are now over 35 million players across all platforms, and together you spent a total of 80,925,684 hours in the game last year. That’s 3,371,070 days, or 9,231 years. Yes, nine thousand two hundred and thirty-one years of fishing! For context, that’s more time than has passed since the very first human civilizations emerged on Earth as it was only 6000 years ago. And just last year alone, players across all platforms caught 845,546,903 fish, that’s 845 million, weighing a total of 5,756,176,873 kilograms, or almost 13 billion pounds. To put that into perspective, that’s enough fish to fill 2,300 Olympic-sized swimming pools, it weighs as much as 960,000 adult elephants, or, if laid end-to-end (assuming an average of 40 cm per fish), it would form a line over 2.3 million kilometers long, enough to reach the Moon and back three times, with fish to spare. Since the launch of Fishing Together, players have hosted 384,826 Fishing Together sessions across all platforms. We hope that sharing boats with friends made plenty of real friendships stronger too. Over the past year, players across all platforms earned an incredible 565,461,512 Baitcoins collected through Daily Bonuses, the Reel of Fortune, Events, Competitions and Tournaments, Achievements, Leveling Up, Gaining Ranks, Twitch Drop rewards, and other in-game activities. We also tried calculating how many Credits our hardworking anglers earned by catching and selling fish, but the numbers were simply astronomical, reaching into the quadrillions, which is a number with 15 zeros! To help grasp just how massive that is: if you spent $1 million every minute, non-stop, you’d burn through $1.44 billion per day. And even then, it would take you over 1,900 years to spend $1 quadrillion. And if you stacked $1 quadrillion in $100 bills, the pile would reach over 1 billion kilometers high, which is enough to stretch from Earth to Saturn. We hope these wild numbers bring a smile to your face and to keep the celebration going, we’ve prepared a little surprise many of you have asked for. We know some of you love the music tracks that played in the game menu over the years, so we’ve created a special YouTube video with all those tracks and gameplay in the background, so you can enjoy them anytime you feel nostalgic. Head over to our YouTube channel and give it a listen! And everyone who leaves a comment under that video on YouTube will have a chance to win one of the three Japan Ocean Packs! But that’s not all. As some of you already know, an epic Twitch Drops Campaign is live right now! You can earn 108,000 Credits, 25 Baitcoins, tons of exclusive fishing items, and access to 10 of the most-loved locations in the game! And don’t forget about the Anniversary Premium Deals with 1, 6, and 12-month Premium bundles that include extra in-game currency, plus up to 60% OFF on Unlimited Licenses and Travel Cost in-game. Stay tuned to our social media and keep celebrating with us, there’s more to come, including giveaways and anniversary activities on our Discord server and Facebook Group. Follow us, stay with us, fish with us and continue shaping the future of Fishing Planet together with us. With all our hearts and warmest wishes for what’s ahead. Tight lines and see you on the water!

Bug Fix Patch Note - Version 5.0.19 Hey Anglers, It’s been a busy couple of weeks for our team, and we want to thank all of you — from those patiently waiting for the next Bug Fix Patch on Steam and Epic Games, to our console players eagerly awaiting the Maldives Update. We released a big Bug Fix patch today and it is another step toward that release. Rest assured we’re doing everything we can to bring it to you as soon as possible. In this update, we’ve tackled a number of issues reported by players and spotted by our QA team, and one of the most important issues where massive fish (500+ kg) would get stuck in the final few meters and couldn’t be landed for a while. This should now be resolved! We also heard your feedback about the challenge of landing the largest fish in the game, like Unique Black Marlin and Unique Swordfish over 500 kg, taking too long to bring in. To understand this better, we analyzed all catches of these giants within the last month, looking at the time from hook to landing. Here’s what we found: Around 50% of these catches take players 13–14 minutes on average. The majority (50–99%) take 15–25 minutes on average. Only about 1% of catches go up to 50 minutes on average and sometimes even longer — rare cases, but they do happen. If you find yourself struggling to land these giants within 15–25 minutes, consider working on your technique, seeking tips from experienced anglers, and making sure you’re using the best gear available. Please, also keep in mind that at the highest levels, even more powerful rods and reels become available to help you bring in these beasts faster. It’s very important , these are ocean monsters — some up to 600 kg, there must be that true big game fishing challenge! Now, let’s dive into the rest of the fixes and improvements included in this patch: Fixed a bug where exiting the settings triggered an “unsaved changes” message, and the ESC button became unresponsive. Sunglasses once again reduce sun brightness as intended. Addressed an issue when big fish would hang in the last 2-3 meters for some time before it could be landed on the catamaran. Fixed incorrect detection when using Vertical Jigging. Fish radars on the catamaran’s onboard monitors and the captain’s bridge now display consistent results. Addressed an issue allowing players to pass through certain objects on the largest island in the Maldives location. Adjusted the volume of the Bar Music in Maldives to match the music volume set in the game settings. Bar music from the resort no longer plays far out at sea in Maldives. The player profile now opens correctly from the local chat. Fixed a bug where synchronous relocation via the captain’s pin during Fishing Together sessions caused the game to break for one of the players. Resolved an issue where purchasing a license would sometimes result in the wrong license being bought. Fixed a bug causing players to fall underwater when fast-forwarding time to the next day and declining boat rental. Addressed disconnects occurring after fish were taken into hand. Fixed an issue where players were teleported back to the beach when moving through bushes on the main Atoll at Maldives. Corrected the overly bright, acidic color of plankton at 4 a.m at Maldives. Fixed an issue where the cooldown was not removed correctly when skipped using a Baitcoin. Fixed an issue where changing a boat’s PIN caused a blinking effect. Resolved an issue where boats and kayaks appeared upside down after being returned to their start position. Fixed an issue where the character appeared elevated above the wooden bridge on Falcon Lake. Fixed an issue where received Marker Buoys displayed stubs and empty buttons in the “Receive a Buoy from Friend” window. Added email notifications for automatically approved Sponsored Competitions. Fixed an issue where no hint was shown about boat relocation to the start position after a player changed their PIN. Fixed an issue where Jonin 20000 SE reel thumbnails were mixed up in the shop and inventory. Resolved an issue where the Rod Holder’s height adjuster on Chamaeleon Catamaran stopped working after teleporting with a Navigation Buoy. Fixed an issue where the competition details window automatically opened when hovering over the first competition in the list. Resolved an issue where feeder and sinker items were missing from templates. Improved various graphical issues, including water reflections in pools and visual artifacts in sand at Maldives. Other improvements and optimizations to enhance overall game performance. Thank you for continuing to share your feedback and bug reports — they help us make the game better with every update. We’ll keep working to improve your experience and bring the Maldives Update to consoles as soon as possible, we will announce it additionally as soon as we are ready to tell you the date. Until then, tight lines and good luck on the water!

Dear Anglers, Last night we urgently released a hot fix patch to address some of the most common issues that occurred after the Maldives Update. Here is what’s new: Resolved an issue of players not being able to take out their rod or rod stands on the waterways Fixed an issue when players didn’t get strikes when trying to complete the tutorial Fixed an issue of balancing the amount of environmental objects appearing at the location depending on the player’s video settings Resolved a bug when some words on the buttons appeared in other languages Fixed an issue with Chamaeleon Cruiser Pack appearing incorrectly in the Store in Polish localization Fixed an issue when some players couldn’t enter the game Known Issues We also received reports about other issues that some of you experienced and we want to keep you in the loop about them: We know many of you experience freezes when entering the menu or trying to move items in the Inventory. The root cause of the issue was found - and it appears to be quite complex and needs a few technical updates on our side. We already started doing them, but it will still require a few days to complete this process. We are doing everything possible (and some impossible things) to fasten it. The issue with the black screen when entering photo mode unfortunately returned - and it has another cause than it had before - it’s being actively investigated and we hope it will be fixed within the next few days. We also know that some players had issues when catching big fish (over 500kg) and on the last 2-3 meters the gaff animation doesn’t get triggered. This is being addressed as well. Some of you are getting an error when trying to enter the game. We found that it helped some players to update their OS to the latest version and re-install the game. If you are experiencing something similar, please try these steps and if it doesn’t resolve the issue, contact support@fishingplanet.com. We are also investigating the nature of other crashes or freezes not related to entering the menu and inventory, thanks to everyone who reported the issues and helped our investigation. If you are experiencing any of the issues listed above, please just wait for the fix that is on its way. No need to report them again, we already have enough information to prepare the fixes. We also get many-many questions about when the Maldives map will be released on consoles and mobile platforms. Believe us, there is nothing in the world that we want more right now than to release it for all the platforms as soon as possible. But first, we need to stabilize the Steam and Epic Games versions with a few more hotfixes. Once that’s done, we’ll focus on getting the update to all other platforms. Thanks so much for your patience. Server Reboot Last, but not least, we want to inform you that tomorrow, June 20 at 5:05 AM UTC there will be a server reboot with an estimated downtime of 10 minutes. This is one of the things we need to do to stabilize the system after the release. Thank you for your incredible patience, understanding, and all the fast bug reports. We truly hope you’re still enjoying your time in the Maldives — more improvements are on the way! Tight lines!

Vertical Jigging Retrieval Try out a new fishing technique in the game — Vertical Jigging — where lures like pilkers, spoons, jigs, and more are dropped straight down into the depths and retrieved with sharp, jerking motions to mimic injured prey. New Saltwater Items Experiment with the new saltwater gear that is now available in the In-game Store. Livebait Trolling Rig A specialized fishing setup made for trolling live baitfish behind a moving boat. To support this method, we’ve introduced a range of new baits, including various sizes of Flying Fish, Indian Ocean Squid, and Split Tail Mullet to tempt predators like Swordfish, Tuna, Marlin, Barracuda, and more. Missions, Competitions, Achievements, Monsters Take on a chain of new engaging monster missions and come face-to-fin with two formidable ocean predators. This time, the Brave Angler must confront the fast and legendary Night Windrazor — a true hunter of the dark — and the terrifying Hordecuda, a one-of-a-kind monster unlike anything you've faced in the game before. Dive into a challenge of 6 all-new thrilling competitions and get up close with vibrant marine life of the Maldives. Unlock 11 fresh achievements as you explore every stretch of these tropical waters — and only the most curious and relentless adventurers will earn the hidden achievement. Sounds Improvements We’ve introduced a range of sound improvements to enhance your experience. DevDiary: Ocean Life of Noomaa Kuda Atholhu Hey Anglers, Welcome to the next stop in our journey — the Maldives, a true gem of the Indian Ocean and a paradise for sportfishing enthusiasts. We've already introduced this breathtaking location in our previous DevDiary — now it's time to dive deeper and explore the incredible fish species that call these waters home. Swaying palms under a blazing sun, crystal-clear waters brimming with life, shimmering fish darting just beneath the surface — we are creating the Maldives at their finest. The dry season has settled in, bringing perfect conditions for ocean fishing. A tropical paradise where Yellowfin Tuna, Wahoo, Mahi-Mahi, Sailfish, and Marlin are entering their peak feeding frenzy. The geography of the Maldives plays a key role in shaping the habitats where different fish species thrive. Spanning the Indian Ocean, the islands are arranged in two parallel chains of atolls that rise from a deep oceanic plateau. Between them lies the Inner Sea — a calmer, more sheltered area rich with diverse fishing grounds. Venture west, however, and you’ll encounter the true open ocean: expansive, untamed, and brimming with big-game potential. This location will feature 28 fish species, including 14 completely new additions to the game. We will cover the new arrivals in this DevDiary, but you’ll also recognize some familiar faces from other regions. Species like Yellowfin Tuna, Bigeye Tuna, Albacore, Skipjack Tuna, and Dogtooth Tuna will feel right at home in these tropical waters. Other well-known species such as Greater Amberjack, Giant Trevally, Narrow-Barred Mackerel, and Striped Marlin will also make an appearance here, taking advantage of the deep reefs and fast-moving currents. Even reef dwellers like Giant Grouper, Ruby Snapper, Mahi-Mahi, Striped Bonito, and Green Jobfish will continue their usual routines, now within the vibrant underwater landscape of Noomaa Kuda Atholhu. All of these species are already familiar to anglers from Kaiji No Ri — but here, in the Indian Ocean, the warmer waters and open space allow some of them to grow even larger here, offering the thrilling opportunity to encounter their powerful Unique forms. And of course, we can’t leave out the Fish Monsters. You’ll have to defeat two new monster fish: The Night Windrazor and The Hordecuda. You might be able to guess the real-life inspiration behind the first one — and maybe even take a shot at what the second could be — but we’re confident the Hordecuda will surprise you. As the Brave Angler, you’ll need to save the world first to uncover what these terrifying creatures truly look like, and we can’t wait for you to discover it. Let’s start with the ocean’s most legendary hunters — the Billfish. Swordfish The Swordfish (Xiphias gladius) is a powerful pelagic predator that can reach up to 1322 lb (600 kg). Found in tropical and temperate waters worldwide, though it may also roam into colder regions. It rarely approaches the shore, preferring the open ocean, where it moves between surface layers at night and depths of up to 1804 ft (550 m) during the day. A solitary hunter, the Swordfish feeds on squid, pelagic fish like mackerel and herring, and sometimes even tuna or small sharks. While most active at night, it also feeds in daylight. Sailfish The Sailfish (Istiophorus) is known as the fastest fish in the ocean. It lives in warm waters around the world and usually hunts near the surface, though it can dive as deep as 1968 ft (600 m) when needed. While Sailfish prefer the open sea, they often roam closer to shorelines, reefs, and islands, especially where the water stays deep and clear. Active both during the day and at night, they usually hunt in groups, feeding on sardines, anchovies, mackerel, squid, and sometimes even crustaceans. Sailfish are also known to travel alongside tuna, which makes them a familiar catch in tuna fishing grounds. Black Marlin The Black Marlin (Istiompax indica) is a massive pelagic predator, found throughout the Indian and Pacific Oceans. Weighing up to 1653 lb (750 kg), it’s one of the most sought-after catches in both commercial and sport fishing. These fish prefer surface waters near coasts, islands, and coral reefs. While usually solitary, Black Marlins may appear in numbers when baitfish gather near the surface. Their diet includes small tuna, anchovies, mackerel, flying fish, squid, and crustaceans like shrimp and crabs. As you can see, some of the Billfish you'll encounter are absolute giants, with weights reaching up to 1650 lb (750 kg). But don’t worry — you’ll have a chance to get fully equipped to take them on, with powerful gear and plenty of storage space aboard the new Chamaeleon catamaran. Discover the Exotic Reef Species of Noomaa Kuda Alongside the formidable Billfish, a wide variety of other species contribute to the vibrant underwater life of Noomaa Kuda Atholhu. While many of them aren’t giants, their coral reef habitats make them beautiful and exotic — a true delight for anglers seeking something unique. Great Barracuda When something flashes past like a silver bolt and vanishes just as fast — chances are, it’s a barracuda. The Great Barracuda (Sphyraena barracuda) is a medium-sized but formidable predator, found in warm waters across the globe. Weighing up to 110 lb (50 kg), it hunts in a wide range of habitats, from mangroves to outer reefs, always alert and ready to strike. This aggressive species bites in any weather, day or night. Young barracudas often move in groups, while adults prefer to go solo. Their main targets are small fish, with the occasional squid — and shrimp only when they’re feeling generous. Wahoo Wahoo (Acanthocybium solandri) is a large predatory fish from the mackerel family, reaching up to 176 lb (80 kg). They live in open ocean waters but often stay close to coasts, reefs, and continental shelves. They hunt fish and squid, either alone or in small groups, and are known for striking from below with sudden bursts of speed about 50 mph (80 km/h). They're often spotted near tuna schools and are most active around sunrise and sunset, though they’ll still bite at night — just a little more slowly. Indo-Pacific King Mackerel The Indo-Pacific King Mackerel (Scomberomorus guttatus) is a medium-sized fish from the mackerel family, found in the warm waters of the Indian and western Pacific Oceans. Reaching up to 11 lb (5 kg) and beyond, this pelagic fish prefers coastal waters at depths of 49 to 262 ft (15 to 80 m). It’s a prized catch for commercial fishers and a worthy challenge for anglers. King Mackerel travels in small schools , dining on sardines, anchovies, squid, and the occasional crustacean. They are active both day and night, so there’s no bad time to go fishing for them. But beware - once hooked, these fish love to leap and thrash. Two-Spot Red Snapper The Two-Spot Red Snapper (Lutjanus bohar) is a long-lived Indo-Pacific species that can reach up to 33 lb (15 kg) and live over five decades. Found near reef slopes and sandy seabeds, it prefers oceanic islands to continental shores. Usually solitary, but it forms schools during spawning season. It feeds on fish, shrimp, crabs, snails, and mollusks — and tends to bite best at dawn, dusk, or under a full moon. Yellowstripe Scad The Yellowstripe Scad (Selaroides leptolepis) is a small schooling fish found in the warm, coastal waters of the Indo-West Pacific. These agile swimmers thrive at depths of up to 229 ft (70 m), often gathering in large groups near the seabed over soft, sandy bottoms. Despite their size, Yellowstripe Scad are efficient predators with surprisingly large mouths. Their diet ranges from tiny zooplankton and invertebrates, like crustaceans and mollusks, to fish larvae — and even smaller scad. While they’re mostly active during the day, they’ve been known to feed at night too. Gorgeous Swallowtail The Gorgeous Swallowtail (Meganthias natalensis) is a jewel of the deep. Reaching up to 4 lb (2 kg), it prefers rocky slopes and deep reefs between 262 and 721 ft (80 and 220 m). These vivid reef-dwellers feed on small fish, mollusks, and crustaceans. They often share habitats with Ruby Snappers and Groupers, and remain active around the clock. Sleek Unicornfish The Sleek Unicornfish (Naso hexacanthus) is a graceful reef dweller, found from 39 to 114 ft (12 to 35 m) deep in lagoons and along coral slopes. This species tends to stay in large schools, making it a striking sight in its natural habitat. Omnivorous by nature, they feed on various zooplankton and algae. It’s active in all weather conditions, both day and night, though it often ventures closer to shore after sunset. Giant Sweetlips The Giant Sweetlips (Plectorhinchus albovittatus) is a nocturnal bottom-feeder that prefers living alone near lagoons and barrier reefs. Found at depths up to 164 ft (50 m), it snacks on crustaceans, mollusks, and small fish. During the day, it retreats into deeper reef zones, emerging at night to feed. Spotfin Flyingfish The Spotfin Flyingfish (Cheilopogon furcatus) is one of the larger flying fish species, growing up to 13,8 in (35 cm) and weighing around 1lb (0.5 kg). Found in warm waters worldwide, it lives near the surface, whether in coastal areas or the open ocean. These fish stick together in small schools and follow currents that bring zooplankton to the surface. Their diet includes tiny crustaceans, mollusk larvae, fish eggs, and small fish. Active both day and night but especially drawn to light after sunset. Sickle Pomfret The Sickle Pomfret (Taractichthys steindachneri) is a medium-sized fish that lives in deep waters, usually between 164 and 2296 ft (50 and 700 m), often near underwater mountains or along continental shelf slopes. This fish is a group-hunting omnivore, feeding on small fish, squid, crustaceans, and tunicates. It’s also a favorite meal for Bigeye Tuna, Swordfish, and Sharks. Since it lives in dark, deep waters, the Sickle Pomfret isn’t tied to specific feeding times and bites both day and night. Blacktip Reef Shark The Blacktip Reef Shark (Carcharhinus melanopterus) is a sleek coastal predator that prowls warm Indo-Pacific waters. Weighing up to 44 lb (20 kg), it glides effortlessly across coral shallows and sandy flats. Adults stick to reef slopes and platforms, while younger sharks prefer calmer lagoons. Often seen in small schools, they’re quick, alert, and always on the hunt for reef fish, squid, crabs — and occasionally even small rays or sea snakes. We saved the Blacktip Reef Shark for dessert — and for good reason. We know many players have been looking forward to more sharks in the game, and this one is a standout addition. While not the largest predator, the Blacktip is one of the most common and iconic sharks in the Maldives, making it a must-have for this location. There’s also a special surprise waiting for those who take on the catamaran color customization missions. We won’t spoil it for you, but let’s just say — if you’re a fan of really big sharks, you’re going to love what we’ve prepared for you. We know many of our players are hungry for bigger sharks, and they’re definitely on the horizon. This is just the beginning of an epic shark chapter in the game. To top it off, we’re also preparing another DevDiary that will dive into the gear, lures, and baits specially crafted for Noomaa Kuda Atholhu. We’ll also introduce a new retrieval technique and showcase the unique features of the Chamaeleon catamaran. From new setups to tropical tactics, there’s plenty more coming to get your hands on. Stay tuned — your next fishing adventure is about to get even better. Until then — tight lines and see you on the water! _______________________________________________________________ Follow us on social media — we’ve got some exciting giveaways coming this weekend to celebrate the upcoming release of the new location: Discord Facebook Group You are always welcome to ask for help in our support: support@fishingplanet.com *All visual content in this DevDiary is crafted to showcase the upcoming features; however, there may be slight differences upon the actual release of the update

Hey Anglers, A new destination in Fishing Planet is on the horizon, and it's time to give you a glimpse of what’s coming your way. When we launched our first ocean location—Kaiji No Ri in Japan—we introduced you to the vastness of the open ocean. Even then, we knew it was just the beginning of true big game fishing. Now, we’re taking things to the next level with Noomaa Kuda Atholhu, Maldives. This island paradise will be perfect for Anglers who dare to think beyond the shoreline. Shaped By The Sea The geography of the Maldives is defined by two long, parallel chains of atolls, known as ridges, stretching north to south across the Indian Ocean. Noomaa Kuda Atholhu lies south of the eastern ridges, surrounded by scattered smaller atolls. Deeper open ocean waters lie to the west of the atoll, while the calmer, so-called Inner Sea is to the east. Atolls are ring-shaped coral reefs that form around lagoons, built over time as volcanic islands sink and coral grows upward. Over millions of years, marine life and waves break down this coral into the iconic soft white sands that give the Maldives their clear, turquoise waters. A Living Paradise This location will be just as vast as our Japan map, spanning 20x20 km—an impressive 400 square kilometers. It features over 55 atolls, small islands and ocean spits, with all of them fully explorable except for one, and why this one is so special you will be able to find out later when the map is released. You’ll be able to step off your boat, walk across the islands, and cast your line from the shore for a truly immersive experience. When creating this location, we put extra care into crafting the water to capture the true essence of the Maldivian seas. It’s crystal clear and teeming with life—you can see colorful reef fish, rays and small sharks swimming close to shore, and even spot sea turtles. On the beach, cheeky little crabs lounge in the sun and dash off in a hurry the moment you get too close, adding a bit of lively mischief to the scene. The Maldivian islands are truly alive with vibrant marine life. Dynamic Weather and Ocean Clouds We also introduced something new—special ocean clouds. Unlike those over freshwater, ocean clouds are often larger, taller, and more dramatic, fueled by constant heat and moisture. We’ve also added sunny, cloudless weather and a subtle heat haze effect to enhance the sensation of hot, shimmering air. To bring this to life, we developed custom technology that makes ocean skies in the game feel more real and immersive than ever before. Here’s a small preview of how the sun moves across the sky, changing the lighting and the appearance of clouds throughout the day. Maahuraa Lagoon The location will feature two starting points for your fishing adventure - Maahuraa Lagoon and Kuda Veli. The main one is the atoll with Maahuraa Lagoon, where anglers can stay at a comfortable resort to unwind after a day on the water. It also serves as the hub where all yachts and boats arrive from the ocean. We’ve received questions from players about ocean boats and whether they’ll be usable in the new location. Rest assured — your Scutum and Volans fishing yachts are built for the ocean and will be fully compatible. For your convenience, a rental boat will also be available at the location for those who haven’t added an ocean yacht to their collection yet. If you're looking to upgrade and go high-tech, there’s also something special coming your way: the brand-new Chamaeleon Catamaran. This sleek vessel can accommodate up to 5 players, offers significantly more fish storage, and is built to handle the truly massive ocean giants you’ll encounter — because the fish at this location are going to be bigger than ever. Stay tuned — we’ll reveal more about the fish in the next DevDiary, which is already in the works! All players aboard the catamaran will have their own adjustable rod holders and top-tier displays, so everyone can stay fully tuned in to the action on the water at all times. The yacht’s name is no coincidence — it hints at one of its coolest features: the ability to change the boat’s color! You’ll get a full chain of engaging missions to unlock custom color options and ride the waves in your own unique style. Kuda Veli Another starting point on the map, Kuda Veli, is a small distant atoll, home to a fishing settlement nestled a few kilometers southwest of the main atoll. The locals here have a strong connection to the ocean and stick to their fishing craft, passing it down through generations. While most fishermen head for the open ocean the lagoon at the center of the atoll is worth a cast. The Maldives, scattered like gems across the Indian Ocean, offers some of the most thrilling fishing adventures on the planet. With crystal-clear waters and vibrant marine life, it’s a dream destination for anglers seeking both stunning beauty and serious challenges. What you’ve seen in this DevDiary is just a glimpse of what’s to come. Get ready to explore a variety of islands and atolls—some with their own unique feel, hidden easter eggs, and surprises waiting to be uncovered. Stay tuned for the next DevDiaries—new fish, fresh gear, and unforgettable adventures are just over the horizon! Tight lines, and see you in the next DevDiary! ___________________________________________________________________ Follow us on social media to stay tuned and be in touch with our lovely community: Discord Facebook Group You are always welcome to ask for help in our support: support@fishingplanet.com
