Firstly, let's get the usual ' this game is awesome blah blah blah ' out of the way. It is superb, enough said. I find myself liking the direction the devs are moving in, but I also find myself realising just how hard it must be to implement the game as a whole and some of these additions. I mean, look at it this way - the game has to be realistic to real life anglers like myself, but also fun for people who don't or have never fished in their lives. Take a second to think about that, it's quite a tall order really. Too arcadey and real anglers won't like it, too realistic and non-anglers won't understand it. I feel they have found the magic balance between the two. Somehow. The kayaks were a superb addition, and they have in the works the ability to place a marker on the map. To my mind, that is a much needed feature because distance over water is very hard to judge both in real life and in game. And for those of us who like to keep the anchor up and experience a ' Nantucket sleigh ride ' ( Google it ) this feature will be a Godsend. The topwater lures are a superb addition, albeit needing a bit of polishing up ( more later ). This more than any other has to be one of the hardest areas of fishing to replicate accurately, but as it stands they are eminently usable and hellish fun. I have no doubt the mechanics will be tweaked as constructive feedback is given and make them even more enjoyable to use. But, for the moment, great work guys. I react just as I do when using them for real, I guess that says rather a lot. Having read the latest Q+A I can honestly say I'm awestruck by the sheer scale of what the devs hope to achieve. They can already hold their heads high for producing a great game, but if only some of the ideas mentioned see the light of day, this game will become truly epic to those of us who fish for real. What amazed me was that they're all being worked on and in the pipeline. I also really like the fact that things like character customisation are secondary to the actual gameplay. I can only say a huge thanks to all involved. I've spent a lot of my money on this game, and I'll spend more. I don't regret spending a single penny. This game is just such a change of pace ( and it means I can get my fix without going out in the rain, mud and cold!! ). I look forward to the future and rest assured I'll be with you the whole time. The Halloween Vamp gar are forgotten. For anyone who hasn't read the latest Q&A, go check it out. A massive high five to the entire team. You've had problems, and you've fixed them, or at least given it your best shot even if it didn't meet our demanding expectations ;-) We only whine so much because we love the game so much and want it working all of the time! You do it so much better than the Call of Duty devs who routinely take a billion dollars a year and keep giving us worse and worse games, then blame our internet for game issues. A few observations if I may? The line needs some work when using topwaters. At the mo it seems to take on a weight of its own and ruins surface presentation as it bounces up and down. The lures themselves dive sometimes, which is exacerbated by the aforementioned. But as I stated previously, this is a very tough aspect to replicate accurately and you've done a great job imo. The lure indicator is um, rather ambiguous now. The lures still work just fine though. Um, that's it. Onwards and upwards, I've loved the game since I found it by chance and I hope to still be playing it in 5 years time. But we really need to talk about those Vampire Gar for next Halloween Wishing the entire team ( and everyone here ) a Happy Christmas.
