It is found primarily in the northern Atlantic Ocean and rivers that flow into the north Atlantic. Adult Atlantic Salmon can be identified by their silvery-blue bodies with black spots above the lateral line. Their average weight usually ranges from 5 to 15 kg (11 to 33 lb), but if you are lucky, you might land a specimen weighing as much as 25 kg (55 lb). Fully grown Atlantic Salmon feed primarily on other fish.
