papubino Posted October 5, 2017 Report Posted October 5, 2017 this is how i retrieve my crankbaits..very effective in florida with bass specially peacocks how do you do yours? Quote
xBigfoot-86 Posted October 6, 2017 Report Posted October 6, 2017 I just hold the retrieve button on speed 2. If I have a follower like you did I change to speed 1 while continuing to reel. 99% of the time they bite the instant you hit the down button. If they don't strike instantly I click it back to speed 2 and they strike then. I've tried pausing when I have a follower and it didn't seem to work or at least anywhere near as well. 2 Quote

Tried this with the 3ft blue and white and works wonders in Florida Quote

The blue/ white and the craw 3 ft are killer in FL. I got so tired of stop n go and lift n drop (L2R2L2R2L2R2L2R2 BAAAAH) that when I got the cranks I just wanted to hold R2 and sit back and let the bait do it's thing. The last couple days I've started trying more of a stop n go with the cranks though and haven't noticed a difference but it's a change of pace for me at least. 1 Quote
