Alaska blackfish just take my bait I can't hook one. Please help!!

I'm trying to catch an Alaska Blackfish I've watched all the vids I can on YouTube. I cast out and get a bite and try and set the hook and every time and I mean EVERY TIME it says the bait has been eaten or lost. It's very frustrating so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Try smaller/larger hooks then the one your using, trying waiting until he's fully submerged the float. Also try checking your game ping that could be a problem as well.
