OPEN BETA TESTING of the Missions Update

Hey dear anglers,

We are happy to announce OPEN BETA TEST of the Missions Update. This update contains 1st iteration of the Missions feature - Tutorial Missions. These missions are available to all players, and while they were specifically created to enrich and make the learning process more efficient for the less experienced folks, many of them will be quite useful even for the more proficient anglers.

Everyone who’s interested in participating please follow the instructions below:

• Go to the Library tab in your Steam client. Click RMB on Fishing Planet and choose Properties.
• Go to the Beta tab and choose Beta Test
• Click close and launch the Game
• Register an account if you do not have one (remember the registration email – you’ll be required to mention it in a survey to get the reward)Enjoy new mission

Guess it's Steam only beta testing, any chance Ps4 will be included in any beta testing (now or in future testing)?

It would require a patch on ps4 and Sony from what i am told charges Devs and takes time for certification . On steam it is free .

I believe in PS4, you can’t really do a beta like this.  Sony do allow some games to release a demo version before the actual DLC version release.  It seems like they are pretty straight on these rules.

It will be very difficult for PS4 to get into the survey part.

I'm optimistic about this. Otherwise why would they release "underwater items" on PS4 like 4-5 months in advance? Just to tease us and annoy us with time loosing in comps? Nah, they have us in the radar. Might take a "little" while. And yes, also we PS4rs want those sweet 3 days of PREMIUM

I tested awesome please release as fast as possible on PS4 because I hate playing with mouse and my PC crying out is old as my grandpa:)

Should be mentioned that the Beta test download is 1.6 Gb, meaning you (as in I) can't play for an hour or so while it downloads

I was at level 40, I had a lot of unique fishes and a lot of equipment, after registering for the tests, I went back to level 1, all achievements and caught fish disappeared !!!! How to fix it??

Fishing Planet PS4 is not friendly for Open Beta things. But we will try to bring it to PS4 in 2 weeks and not as Open Beta but as full tutorial missions update.

how to back game to normal when i try this beta testing????ehen you subcribe how to istal this petsa testin,please add how to back to normaln game....i wont to go fishing???i want my level,rods,lures????

The test server is separate from the live server.  The test server starts you from the beginning.  That's what's being tested.  If you go back to your steam library, right click Fishing Planet, Properties, Betas, click opt out of betas and it will load you back on the live server.  Nothing you do in the Beta will affect your character on the live server.

Just had another bash at another beta test, it dose us oldies good to brush up on technique's that we don't use often, now back to the live game and finish my fishing location, Florida.

On PS4, we can use the handheld to do the survey.  It shouldn’t be too difficult.  Please bring this beta to PS4 if possible.  Thank you!

@Denis_fp I have found a bug in the beta was fishing in texas and had to catch around 15 fish during the catch 5 fish with crickets mission

oempie, Hi due to some technical issue with Sony PlayStation the Open Beta Test available only for PC. Thank you for understanding.
