Precisionist Posted October 30, 2018 Report Posted October 30, 2018 Wondering if some of the challenges will remain after the event time is up. I'm not fishing enough/catching enough to complete the main missions (too many bowfin and ghost pike left, and haven't even started bluegill which I assume takes 20+ real time hours?). I'm wondering though, if I hoard enough candy (maybe buy enough up to 200) could I do the 200 fish caught with candy challenge after the event ends? 1 Quote
Violentvole Posted October 30, 2018 Report Posted October 30, 2018 Based on last year, when the event ends the Halloween species disappear and the challenges remain open but udo-able until the following year. No reason why the candy challenge wouldn't work though, given that it isn't reliant on Halloween species. 2 Quote
TC915 Posted October 30, 2018 Report Posted October 30, 2018 Was thinking same way V & definitely hoping the Sweet Tooth challenge isn't event locked, cause I've been doing other side challenges & hoarding my candies to complete that one after. Though certain any event missions or side challenges linked to event fish (Vamp, Yeti, Ogre, Ghost, Skeleton) will be locked until next Halloween. 1 Quote
Precisionist Posted November 5, 2018 Author Report Posted November 5, 2018 Nope. Just confirmed the sweet tooth challenge does not update anymore. Even using the pumpkin bobber, just caught two bluegill and the challenge did not update on either one. Oh well, back to other games since there's nothing to do here but comps. 2 Quote
Violentvole Posted November 5, 2018 Report Posted November 5, 2018 Well that sucks, I didn't finish it either. Not that it really affects me because as soon as I'd finished the Halloween event it was off to pastures new for me also. I just can't mindlessly do the same things I've done for over a year, striving to beat my PB by an ounce or so or hoping to be on top of the leaderboard for a particular species for a week. Would have been nice to be able to finish it via normal fishing when the new venues drop, but there's always next year ( might actually get around to finishing the Albinos and Ogres then too - although I think I said that this time last year too ). Ah well, still a great event and a huge improvement on last year. I enjoyed it despite fishing solo, just some game chat with TC and the posting on here formed my social side of things and I still had fun. 3 Quote
Hazenclements Posted November 6, 2018 Report Posted November 6, 2018 The 6/0 Roach Spoons are excellent on Lake Trout in Alberta. Worked fine during, and still work. I'm hoping some of the other baits will still work too. 2 Quote
