No Holiday Event We Got Grinched

Devs try an understand that Holidays  especially the Christmas one was extremely fun to play an participate with others.  Just listen to are voices as a community an let us establish friends or rivals with more social events .  An specially this time of year we should share are passion for the game cause i think we have played solo long enough .  Maybe in the New Year

I was looking forward to participating for the first time during the holidays. I guess with the new update and the big tournament there wasn't enough time for updating the Christmas event? What do I do with all of my spare time now?

No need to spread unfounded rumours & get folks worrying something has been cancelled. Last years event was the week of Christmas thru New Years, this years event should be the same. 

 

Confirmed by Support staff that the Christmas event is happening, while they didn't give an exact date/timeframe as stated it should be the same as last years event.

How could they not include the most succesful event ever? 

They didn't state anywhere it wasn't happening so I'd expect it Sunday or Monday. Hoping I'll be around for some of it, last year was the most fun I've had on any game ever.

We can host our own Christmas Event. I got a gazillion fire works. Won't help us to catch any Antlered Salmon or Furry Trout, but sure will be pretty lol. And I sure as hell am not going to waste the (2) half gallons of Grey Goose I bought just for the occasion lol.

I'm out of work for this Xmas so I won't be buying anywhere near the amount of fireworks I bought last year. It'll be freebies only for me I guess.

I can send you some, I have a bunch left over from the fourth. I wasn't there last year so I don't know how many get used, but I have 54,74,28, and 28 of the four types.

Thanks dude But there're plenty of freebies dotted around I can make do with. I may even have some left from the 4th because I didn't play that event much. Add to that the fact that I can't say with any certainty how much time I'll be playing and you're better off keeping them for yourself.

Already had the 150 furry trout last year and I think I only need around 60 salmon to finish those off.

For some strange coincidence, the user with the same nickname has been recently banned on Steam forums (after numerous warnings) for toxic behavior and foul language.
Hope its just a coincidence

I'm not sure that I get what you're trying to say due to the differences in language, but FP have accepted and heeded our critiscism for over a year now.

They might not like it, but we try to keep it constructive and they do their best to act upon it.

So if you are indeed the same person who they banned from the Steam forum, don't post here hoping to find supporters for your cause and to turn opinion against them, because you won't get it.

Despite the issues we occasionally have with the game ( and several ongoing ones ), this is one of the few games where we can express our views in this forum as strongly as we like and not be censured for it, as long as it is constructive and not just being salty for the sake of it.

If I misinterpreted your post then you have my apologies. Personally, I don't think the devs have anything to worry about regarding the future of this game. My premium is paid until 2020 and I do not begrudge a penny of it, I have faith and so do lots of others.

Christmas event has begun folks!! No mission on the Mission tab, but we still got presents & the fun of helping others reach challenges we've already completed. Rounding up presents now & heading to Alberta too shine a lil "light" lol.
