Remember how we were informed that sink rates and physics were addressed via a particular update a while ago?

Here we have 2 ounces of metal ( 56 grams ) defying gravity in the worlds most boring video #2. My heavy metal spoon just magically stops in midwater.I did many, many casts before I decided to record it, all were the same. I tried retrieving and stopping, letting line out, lighting a cigarette, drinking beer. Nope. Magic suspending spoon.

Plus, 30 foot crankbaits don't seem to get anywhere near that depth, even when smashed down on 4 speed.

Why is Alberta such a problematic venue? Is Invisible Bigfoot about to rear his head again? Are those invisible birds coming back? Is the surface of the lake going to magically solidify again and give us bouncing crankbaits? Can we please, please watch Pierre get dragged through the cabin and up the mountain again because that was THE most hilarious thing I've ever seen. Ever. Still can't believe none of us recorded it, the voice chat/panic was even funnier.

Anyway, enjoy my neutral bouyancy 2 ounce spoon. If I could make these things for real I'd be rich.

I went to Alberta and it was dead. Barely anyone playing and nobody really shooting off fireworks. Plus if you did the objectives last year you can’t do them again. Is it really that hard to reset objectives to give older players something to do? Back to RDR2.....

Went into random rooms last night just to set off fireworks for others. Seemed like nobody else had been setting them off in each room. Not sure they even knew how they worked because all 4 others were just sitting in their kayaks! So now I'm out of fireworks and no one else lights them.

I gave up when none of my lures would sink, only one guy set some fireworks off but it seemed random and nobody was communicating ( unless they were on party chat ).

Might pop in later for an hour or two as I won't be around for a few days from tomorrow, heading into the hills with a rucksack and tarp to get away from it all.

Admittedly, there is zero information.

Those of us who were around last year remember it fondly, while those who weren't only have what we post here to go on.

I guess it was a not to be missed experience, so glad I was there for it 🙂

I've only been in one room so far where everyone knew how this works. This being my first time that room was a lot of fun. Maybe they should make an online manual because it doesn't seem like as many people read or research the forum as much as everyone might think.

I'm gonna try again in another 1/2 hour after I reload, I'm down to 65 fireworks ( got the jacket already though ). Hopefully I'll find another group like the one above.

I myself, was in a random room Monday with some level 20ish peeps and set off a couple of fireworks, and with the exception of one level 40, everybody just stopped fishing and looked at me. One of them messaged me and told me I was scaring the fish lol. I sent out a message asking if any one knew about the Christmas Event, and with the exception of the one level 40, knowbody had a clue.

Folks, I guess it all depends who you're fishing with. Got some guys with us that did last year and it worked out great. Trying to tell the newer folks took a while but they understood it. Friend me up tonight if you need fireworks to have or to catch the fish.

I fished with two different groups of players last night that had their stuff together. The second one that I fished with went into the wee hours of this morning.

I've only known the legend of Nessie/Bigfoot in Alberta from reading the old threads on here, but around 2:00 am I got to witness it first hand. Not only was he dragged up the mountain, but when the kayak came to rest he was still able to cast so I launched a couple more fireworks for him and they still worked.

Since I was launching in the first place, I was in perfect position to get it on video, then added the two fish he caught afterwards;

I was so tired last night I was only going to collect presents and call it a night, but I was spotted by one of the guys in the same group and got an invite to their party chat. The same guy in the video told me it happened to him again. This time though it was on the opposite side and he went up and over the other side of the mountain. He also said that he was already fighting this "fish" for around 10-15 minutes before it pulled him out of the water (strange).

Unfortunately he didn't know how to save a video (he does now), I wouldn't mind seeing it from the kayak's point of view. I do however have a screenshot that he sent me after he first came to a stop but I forgot to bring it with me this morning so I'll have to post it when I get home tonight.

Here's the shot he took when he first stopped. That's me on the right down there, still standing on the end of the dock before he wiggled around and slid down that slope to where he was casting from. I wonder if he could've made a cast from there???

hace 1 hora, MCD85 dijo:

So when multiple FW are set off at once, does that mean more of the special fish spawn or it is wasting the FWs?

Use only 1 at a time.

I used 2/0 hook, live fish and 100cm deep.

it was easier
