Which fish is the best to catch from xp and money!?

I would suggest buying yourself an unlimited advanced licence for Texas as the travel is free and you can then fish there anytime should you run into money troubles, which can be a problem when your first starting. A good place to start earning money and XP is Emerald Lake, New York. Narrow spoons 1/0 7g (1/4 oz), 7g jighead 2/0 with glow worms (7cm) and glow shads (5cm), other lures will also work.  Buy a one-day advanced licence and fish during the night from the dock of peace, using speed 2 stop and go or lift and drop action. Your first objective (I think) should be getting the best keepnet or stringer you can for your current level. Good luck!

Beginner level spotted bass at lone star. Once you unlock New York and narrow spoons then walleye at emerald. Then once you unlock falcon the trout using narrow spoon. Everglades is great but the good gear doesn’t come til level 27-28. Michigan for pike, clear muskies and muskies on sunny days, and blue catfish. Walleye here as well but they aren’t as active as emerald but they get bigger much bigger. San Joaquin for sturgeon at night nothing better especially with multiple rods and spawn sacks. Carp there are ok as well and both sturgeon and chinooks are good too. Striped bass can be an option as well. Alaska lots of options but the chinooks are the way to go. Europe Czech lake cheap and can catch a ton of fish with multi rod setup. Holland I’d stay away from unless you target the Zander. Italy is similar to falcon where there are a ton of trout and the asp is definitely worth pursuing for cash and xp. Germany and Russia high level lakes and to be honest with you the others offer better cash and xp unless you want Beluga For xp. You have to releas them so don’t cry when you see 4 grand go back into the water. If you elect to keep them it’s a 25000 fine. Hope this helps.

The pike earn pretty close to the walleye and get bigger. The chain pickerel pay well too don’t get quite as big. And the trout may not earn as much but you can catch a ton of them at falcon lake . That’s where you will really level up and make cash fast. Biggest fish there is 8 lbs and change so I’d use like a featherlight 7 or Jigwinner with calisto mg reel or prima reel with 8 lb floro. This set up deadly at emerald as well. Use purple narrow spoon or black at night. When you unlock Michigan all your money troubles go away.

As some users have already said, white sturgeon in California is an easy and brainless way to make money. They become very easy to catch at night on heavy gear, and yield a lot of money and experience per catch. Pike in Michigan might make you more money per day (because pike are very valuable for their weight), but it takes much longer if you don't know what you're doing. They are much smaller fish and will fill your keepnet at a slower rate.

I got a honey hole at st Croix I get 1600 to 3000 per fish on blue catfish. you gotta catch 2 or 3 walleye to make that much . I fill up basket fast within 30 to 45 minutes  and make 30,000  and start over again fast money if you can catch the cats bak to bak and I can I only fish peak hours

I can't believe no-one is mentioning Neherrin River. If you stand where the sunken car is, you can fill a 100 Kg Net in no time with Largemouth and Smallmouth Bass. The occasional Pike can be kept as well. Only throw away Crappies, Gars and Catfish. Neherrin is the first place (after Lone Star) where I purchased a permanent license. This place is still my go-to when I need to make money fast. At the moment I need 100K to buy the 200 Kg Net. So yesterday I went there again and from 5:00 to 7:00 game time (maybe 45 minutes real time) I caught just over 50 Kg of Common, Trophy and Unique Bass as well as a few Pike. This with 2 match rods, one with Shrimp and one Small Minnows with 3/0 Hook, and one spinning rod with a 3/0 Casting Spoon (3/0 Jig Head with 10cm Yellow Slug works well also). Basically you get a fish every cast and at times all 3 rods have action at once. Filling a 100Kg Net, which you can easily do on any given day, will give you 16-17K without Premium Account. 25K with Premium. You do that for 4-5 game days and you have 100K +. I am so confident of filling the net that I don't even keep the occasional Young Largemouth. On average the Bass are 1 - 1,8 Kg. Up to 2,5 or sometimes even 3 Kg.

You also don't need big equipment to catch here (5Kg - 6Kg Rods are fine). Nero match rod and Jigwinner spinning rod is more than sufficient. The only problem is that IF you happen to get a large Catfish on the Nero Rod, it can take a bit of time to get him out. But with a short (70cm) Leader, this very rarely happens. I filled up 100Kg in under 2 hours and only got one 9Kg Catfish, one Crappie and one Sunfish, which I threw away.

So as I am sure that there are other better ways to make money faster (at higher levels - White Moose or St Croix for instance), this one is very good at lower levels. Emerald Lake catching Walleye is also good, but I prefer this method. Bass bite all day and night. At night I use either the Blue/White/Red Night Casting Spoon or a 2/0 Jighead with a 7cm Night Shad or the 12cm Glow Worm. Nice Unique Smallmouth Bass bite especially at Night during high times.

As for XP. The best way to level up is completing Missions and Challenges.

First, thank you gunnies799 for mentioning Neherrin River. I spent 3 days there fishing for bass using only match rods, shrimp, a #3/0 hook, and my 198lb (approximately 90kg) keep net. The first couple of days I made around 14900 cash. The last day I made the mistake of fast forwarding to night fishing (thinking I might catch some uniques). Bait fishing for bass doesn't seem to work at night, at least not with shrimp. I chose shrimp since in my experiments I found they're significantly less expensive than buying the same amount of minnows and they appear to catch as many in as short a time.

I also decided to spend a few days fishing for bass at the Florida Everglades using the same setup. At the Everglades I caught only Largemouth and Butterfly Peacock bass. On average I caught about $400 less, $14500. Considering that it costs more to go to the Everglades and stay there, Neherrin might be a better choice.

It's worth mentioning that after 3 days (6 days total) of fishing at both places I caught lots of trophy Bass, but no unique Bass. Shrimps just don't seem to be the bait to catch Unique Bass, or I just had lousy luck.

Emerald Lake is worth a mention here because I think it might be even more profitable than either place, but with the caveat that it takes longer to fill the net. I was at Emerald (to catch the Pikeslasher) and had $8354 with only 96lbs (approx 43.5kg) of Walleye. Walleye bite all day and night. And in my experience they go for Leeches (level 31) as much as they go for Minnows. Leeches are vastly less expensive than minnows in large quantities. Walleyes also bite narrow spoons. Those things said it just doesn't feel as fun grinding Walleye (maybe it's because you can grind for a couple of different kinds of bass at Neherrin or the Everglades).

I agree with everything Charles said in the previous post.

1. At night in Neherrin you must swap to a spinning or casting setup with a night casting spoon and you'll still catch a Bass almost every cast. Match rods only work well during the day. I must have forgot to mention that, but usually one can fill the net during the day anyway.

2. I have caught many Unique Largemouth Bass at the Everglades, so he must have had rotten luck. Also you catch a lot of Gars (in my opinion) in between the Bass, especially when using Minnows. So Neherrin is a bit more focused on Bass. As well that Everglades are more expensive to travel to like he mentioned.

3. Emerald Lake was always my 'go-to' before Neherrin as well. I also feel that catching Bass is a bit more exciting than Walleyes though, like he mentioned. And it does take longer to fill the net. So I would recommend that you grind Emerald for money when you're still at lower levels and only have a 40Kg net. By the time you can afford a biggish net (90-100 Kg), Neherrin becomes the better option.

I'm not too sure about the levels. But if I had to start over I'd do something like this.

1. As long as my keepnet is smaller than 40Kg's, target Trout at Rocky Lake. I'm not keen on Lonestar or Mudwater. Allround bottom rod, Jigwinner spinning rod.

2. When I have the 40Kg net, target Walleye and Pike at Emerald Lake. Nero match rod, Big Alli bottom, Farcaster casting rod.

3. When I have a 100Kg net, target Bass at Neherrin. Nero match rod, Big Alli bottom, Farcaster casting rod.

4. 200Kg net, target Lake Trout at White Moose Lake with rods like the Bottom Sniper and the Loki spinning rod.

5. Then when I can get the heavy gear and have some money, start thinking about St.Croix. Basically that's where I am at the moment. Level 45, going to St.Croix soon for the first time. But for this you need rods like the Brutus match, Cat Boxer bottom, Zeus spinning etc. Heavy stuff.

Rods just mentioned as examples.
