L1 R1 not working

Standing at the waterway, I am unable to use L1 to cycle through rods or lures. The buttons work in the menus and R1 even zooms after a cast. Can't equip a rodstand. 

Anyone have this and found a fix?

Reset your game works or its not a great option but you can go into your inventory and highlight the rod you want and back to map and it should be in your hand .Sometimes that will allow to use L1 again to select rods.

Narrowed the problem down to jigheads. It works normally until I equip a rod with a jig on and try to scroll through the various shads and such. It only shows jigheads in the circles. That is when R1and L1 stop working. Guess it's manual switching and avoiding jigs for a while.
