When I first started this game I used to think 'Unique' fish were just that - unique! A once in a lifetime capture, by definition a rarity. However since fishing in Europe in places like Ghent and Germany it seems Uniques are far from being a one off. In one day I have caught up to 6 Unique Common Bream in Ghent as well as 5 Unique Ide and just finished a session in Germany where I netted 12 Unique Tench (and 49 Trophies) in a day. Don't get me wrong I appreciate catching these fish and very much welcome the xp and the cash but a 3.5lb Bream (the smallest I have caught) is not really a 'Unique' and neither is a 3.9lb Tench! However rather than tweak all the algorithms for all the fish in all the venues (certainly in Europe) I thought it would be nice to have a 'Legendary' category of fish. A realistic but supersized specimen that's out there lurking in the depths. Something around 10%- 20% bigger than the biggest Unique.

This would not only revitalise old venues but but provide a real challenge. The kind of capture to get you on the front of the Fishing Planets equivalent of the 'Angling Times' 😁

However this real 'Unique' specimen should not be able to be fixed at a certain location but could be caught just about anywhere. This would then avoid the situation of people simply watching a Youtube video and staking out the spot. In other words there would be any number of spots where this 'legend might turn up - just like in real life.

I suppose for me the closer Fishing Planet mimics 'real' fishing the more I enjoy it and the possible capture of a 'monster' is what made me go fishing in the first place.

Just a thought 😁
