So I recently read about a premium version of this game coming to xbox called The Fisherman: Fishing planet.

I understand this to be the "premium" version of fishing planet.  My question is... what happens to the free to play game?

Also, I've already spent more money in the free game than the "premium" game costs.  Why would you release a free game, allow people to spend money,  then release a paid game not long after?

I would have never bought the packs that I did had I known this other game was about to come out.

Seems kinda sneaky...

They stayed somewhere on the forums that the free to play version will still be available and maintained - meaning we will still get updates, and be able to play it.

I would like to see all that is included. 4 years of DLC sounds great but what items is there.

Far as I know, it's all the DLCs that have been released (for PC & PS4) until now. You can check them out one by one on steam, and see all the items that are included:

So this means no boats and other stuff for the free version? Buying premium and this add on is expensive! I rather buy a full game for 70 bucks like GTA or RDR and get the updates with it. This is just a way to milk out money.

Sure free to play but if you want more xp and game money you have to buy premium, and also buy dlc. 1 year premium is like 90 bucks and this dlc package 70 bucks or something.

Stuff like this Will make people quit the game and never come back. This is just greedy. Too bad because they would have done it right, this game had been one of the best games ever.

The blame belongs to Microsoft, not FP.  it took a lot of time just to get FP on Xbox 1.  the inclusion of the SLCs was limited by Microsoft itself.

future updates to FP on Xbox 1 will be approved by Microsoft and added as soon as that approval is given.

Updates like new maps and boats? Will that be free or do you have to buy that stuff?

They should have released the game as a full version like most of the other game developers. This is madness! People like the game and get pretty much addicted to it and spends ALOT more than a regular AAA game.

Advertise it as a free to play but if you want it all you will have to spend 150-200 buck a year. Ridicilous is what it is. My real rod and reel cost 200 bucks. They also put advertise in the game like a mobile phone game.
