Roy Posted December 16, 2017 Report Posted December 16, 2017 I am currently at L30 and fishing for LMB in Florida to make super fast money to buy gears. As the tournament is imminent I need a guide to reel those big monsters along with need to know that Michigan is profitable or not compared to Florida as I got finned 10k yesterday in Florida and I was able to make it all back in just 15-20 mins. Any suggestion would be very helpful regarding minimum gear setup etc.. Spots not required because I keep experimenting at different places with different combination. Quote

Violentvole Posted December 16, 2017 Report Posted December 16, 2017 Hey Roy, you haven't joined us yet. Just finished a guided tour of Cali for some friends who'd never been there - when I could stop laughing. We went to Alberta after, can't remember why. Michigan is far more profitable than Florida. 1 Quote

What about rod and reel combo. Edited December 16, 2017 by Roy P.S Quote
papubino Posted December 16, 2017 Report Posted December 16, 2017 gafftopsail 150cm depth 3/0 shrimp..just chuck it out from dock 10-6meters in d pm.. for michigan gears at lvl 34 you can buy brutus rod the longest 1 i think..and match it up with the same level of reel (hornet swarm so you can use it to your low level fish using fenix) or wait 4 end game reel d thunderspin..that's my setup. for spinning rod, i'd wait for end game rod and reel so not to waste cash, but if you got galaxycast rod and cyclone combo or if you can afford that it will do (again 1 of my casting rod setup) hope it will help Quote

Roy Posted December 18, 2017 Author Report Posted December 18, 2017 (edited) I need help at Michigan, first day was fun somehow I managed to full my net but on 2nd day was tough as hell. I was fighting with blue catfish for over 30 mins then I had to give up due to my wife's demand for TV as she wanted to c some shows. My lure sucks atm, I can't cast further due to poor selection of lure and reels and forgot bring spinners, large hooks etc.. Till now I was able to catch 1. Atlantic Salmon 2. SMB 3. Walleyes 4. Pike 5. Brown Trout Few trophies and many more normal ones. If anyone of u have any specific spots for very fast money making ones bcoz I am in need of 37k more and I have like 14k still 4k at loss after 2nd game days trip would be very much appreciated. My rig:- Thora 9'6" Lineglider 4000 #3/0 medium spoon, narrow spoon, jig heads, 3" purple worm, grub. ----------------------------------------------------------------- Omnifloat 10(may be) Prima 3500 Hook #1/0 to #5/0,M cutbait, S & L Minnows, shrims, crawfish cut, some small fish eggs.. Don't have shinners with me as I had chosen Large minnow by thinking it was a shinner .it's obvious for me to make mistakes every time it doesn't matter where m going. Quote

No need to worry Roy. IMO Large Minnows are better than Shinners anyways. Some will disagree. And Large Minnows are more expensive, but I like em. If that's all you have, throw one a hook, you won't be disappointed. Quote
Violentvole Posted December 18, 2017 Report Posted December 18, 2017 Yep, large minnows work fine. Quote
