Ma6iq Man
I just recently got into bottom fishing in MI and I was wondering if anyone could share a chum recipe for pike.

Moderators FPdimsam Posted November 25, 2019 Moderators Report Share Posted November 25, 2019 Look at the people who catch pikes and muskies at "pike alley" at the "King of the Green Bay" location. They will show you new spots. What about tackle. Use powerful bottom rods with hooks 6/0 - 8/0 and shiner or large minnow as bait. If your level does not allow use powerful rods, you may use feeders with according sinkers and a boat with upped anchor to chase a bigger fish. Thanks for the advice For pikes and muskies leader length has to be about 50 - 75 cm. It works for all waterways where pikes dwell.

Moderators FPdimsam Posted November 27, 2019 Moderators Report Share Posted November 27, 2019 Oh sorry that's for float rods. For bottom rods I use 1.0 - 1.5 m leader. Btw float tackle works perfect as well for pikes.
