ReelFishing Posted January 2, 2020 Report Posted January 2, 2020 (edited) Could we please have some info on if the game is going to be supported by the developers. Edited January 2, 2020 by ReelFishing 2 Quote
Hate_ful Posted January 2, 2020 Report Posted January 2, 2020 Goodluck its a Dev team vs a Publishing team battle . In the end the losers are the customers whom trusted them to be honest and upfront. We suffer while they spend our money . Like i said before neither Bigben or Fishing Planet devs have a good track record with support or communication . 2 2 Quote
Ragin Nordwin Posted January 28, 2020 Report Posted January 28, 2020 One reason i dont buyd the Fisherman. If i see no communication and or Support over a Long time i buy games only if the Price is very low or never. I read negative Reviews and Steam Forum Messages about that Point, that is never a good sign for a game. Quote
Webtracer Posted January 29, 2020 Report Posted January 29, 2020 Everyone is saying blame Big Ben blame Big Ben ! Why would fishing planet enter an agreement with a publisher to release "the full game" only to let the publisher do what they wish with it. (Supports/updates) So the situation is stop playing the full release, load up and start over with the free one ? Spend money now on free one ? How can this not hurt this game? Why let publishers hurt your game? Not everyone is going to continue with the game this way period like this. AND be honest, if there is no future, no updates coming, OR no one knows about the future, let us know! I'm maxed out in The Fisherman,.waiting for lovely update everyone on free version is enjoying. And stop bugging Big Ben at THIS STAGE the main developers need to be bugged. (Its their game they are letting publisher ruin it) 3 Quote
Roby64 Posted January 30, 2020 Report Posted January 30, 2020 BigBen has no faults ?? Wrong, it is the BigBen who is guilty, bought the license and resells it, those of Fishing Planet have made various updates and support the game, so it is BigBen who must, update and support the game, or pay those of the Fishing Planet , to do the job for them. But here we are dealing with a company, which wanted to screw customers, declaring that it would have been a better game, without hidden costs and with future evolutions, instead none of this, there is no assistance, they do not respond to emails and messages . The only thing is that, whoever bought this game, request a refund, and if bigBen doesn't respond, then create a ClassAction against them, and make them pay for everything and more .... 2 Quote
Viaduk Posted March 22, 2020 Report Posted March 22, 2020 can we report it to Sony and get back money bc there isn't any support 1 1 Quote
Hate_ful Posted March 23, 2020 Report Posted March 23, 2020 According to steam forum (Under the news section ) there has been a bug fix recently and it is going to be supported . The Fisherman will be getting all the things in FP including Mississippi but some will be paid DLCs I believe it states late spring. Remember PS4 and Xbox always have to wait roughly 30 days after PC to get patch . 2 Quote
satch Posted March 23, 2020 Report Posted March 23, 2020 Paid DLC huh? I thought that buying the game was supposed to get you everything for free afterwards, was marketed that way. Kinda still waiting for all the 36 DLCs that were supposed to come with the game...worst waste of money ever 3 2 Quote
Hate_ful Posted March 23, 2020 Report Posted March 23, 2020 Ya when i bought it i thought man this is to good to be true . It definitely was as half of what was talked about dont exist on the game . 5 Quote
BobNudd10 Posted May 30, 2020 Report Posted May 30, 2020 6 months now not a single update or bug fix how ripped of do ya all like me feel now 3 Quote
BobNudd10 Posted June 8, 2020 Report Posted June 8, 2020 (edited) don't quote me on this but a little birdy has told me blue crab might be coming also some Australian water but you will have to buy the lakes as dlc . might be bull but it offers a little encouragement I guess Edited June 8, 2020 by BobNudd10 Quote
Hate_ful Posted June 8, 2020 Report Posted June 8, 2020 That funny i heard same thing but i have Zero confidence in Bigben . You cant go by what is said in some interviews either as half of what was said never has happened. Just 1 example was The Fishermans exclusives coming to free version in Feb or March. 1 Quote
suepollock Posted October 4, 2020 Report Posted October 4, 2020 I went crazy and bought Fishing Sim from PS4 store (full price - WOW!) and then bought a pre-owned disc for the Fisherman. I need to learn a LOT more before I try Fishing Sim. When they say pro, they mean it literally. It took me about four contacts to their support team to finally get a response to one question. And then the fix was a total work around. And not being a pro, the info/support was useless. The Fisherman is great for me simply because it gives me the opportunity to use some of the tricks and tips that you all have shared. But I have discovered the DLC's aren't free as I thought they would be. The lakes are practically the same as in FP and any changes that I have seen are minute. I think you level up faster in The Fisherman than in FP but that's about it. Since I purchased a pre-owned disc, the price was less than half of what the PS4 store sells it for. Personally I think the Fisherman is easier for a beginner because it gives you more details about the actual fishing experience than FP. Shoot, my 5-yo granddaughter was catching 1.9 pound striped bass at Lone Star on her first attempt. I had finally reached level 54 in FP but it took me a long while to reach it. Of course, I'm probably one of the least experienced members here so I have learned a few things from The Fisherman. My opinion (for what it's worth), unless you can find an extremely good deal on the Fisherman, stick with FP. You can at the least get a bit of support with that game. I've found a couple of bugs in the Fisherman but can't even get an acknowledgement from the support team. I play both on PS4 and seriously, I would have never switched if I knew then what I know now. The help that I've gotten from here and YouTube far outweighs what I've found for the Fisherman. Actually, I have found the Steam posts the most helpful of all... and that's bad especially since they are mainly for the PC version. 1 Quote
Hate_ful Posted October 4, 2020 Report Posted October 4, 2020 Sue i bought the Fisherman aswell and after realizing that it wasnt getting any updates it has become a dust collector. Tried selling it to gamestop and they offered me $5 lol so i kept it. As for Fishing Sim world i like the concept of career mode but the actual fish wasnt fun or rewarding to me . Seemed you could catch fish everywhere. I agree i would stick with FTP version as much of a grind as it is still the best fishing game in my opinion. Quote
