Spug Posted May 21, 2020 Report Posted May 21, 2020 Need a little more information 24gregelo. What level are you? Which Lake? Quote
Spug Posted May 21, 2020 Report Posted May 21, 2020 The basics are as follows; Get a rod and reel of similar Line Weight and Max Drag (if you can't get them the same then have the rod as the weaker of the two, its cheaper to repair). Use a line with the highest Test value you can, but still under the rod and reel's Line Weight and Max Drag (the line should be the first thing to break). Next thing for Bottom/Feeder fishing is the Casting Weight, the Cage that you're attaching to the setup needs to be between the values specified, too heavy and you'll snap the line on cast, too light and it won't go anywhere. As an example, my current setup is; Big Alli 450 (Line Weight Max 9Kg) Hornet Swarm 4000 (Max Drag 9Kg) Fluoro 0.4mm (Test 9.1Kg) The Big Alli has a Casting Weight of 85 - 170g so I have an Open Feeder 100g Cage fitted to it. Hope that helps. Quote
PH_Carpman99 Posted May 21, 2020 Report Posted May 21, 2020 Don't forget the Leader (as close to the fishing line Test as possible). 1 Quote

13 BlueTroutBuster46 Posted June 10, 2023 Report Posted June 10, 2023 I broke my rod on a big fish. The game went not allow me to purchase a new rod and use right away. The game sais I can purchase a new rod. But it will have to go to home storage? I do t know what that is or how to access it. Also when I try to buy certain lures or baits it will have to go to home storage Quote
Saberneko Posted June 10, 2023 Report Posted June 10, 2023 If you are not at home, I think you will need to toss away the old rod and leave an empty slot and then purchase and use the new rod. 1 Quote

When you go to your inventory there is a tab for backpack storage and home storage. You can only access your home storage from the global map, not when you're at a lake. It's not certain baits or lures that get sent to home storage, it's because your backpack is full and can't hold any more gear so if you are already at a lake you have to either throw something away to make room or leave the lake and transfer items from your backpack to home storage. When you go to your inventory the amount of items you can carry is in the bottom right corner of your screen. What @Saberneko said is also true, your rod case can only hold a certain number of rods (up to seven) so if you don't have a free slot in your rod case the new one will be sent to home storage.
