Benji Posted November 26, 2020 Report Posted November 26, 2020 Hi Guys, Since the update I don't seem to be able to by the Particals for my mix to go in the SPOD, at Weeping Willow shop, I have ran out, is this a bug or can we not get them in the Lake shop anymore, if so, how important are they, can I get by without them or is it worth leaving the lake and getting them and coming back, will cost me the travel costs that is all so would like to avoid that if I can Quote

You can definitely fish without them using method mixes, spod mixes, boilies & pellets but it would be nice if particles were made available in the local shop too. Quote
Musette Posted December 7, 2020 Report Posted December 7, 2020 I always buy extra bags of particles. I don't recall seeing bags of particles carried any place else but the Global Shop. I usually restock on all groundbaits, aromas and hookbaits after 2 days because it's cheaper to buy at the global shop and pay for a return trip. Particles just add more bulk to spod, basket and PVA. It's similar in composition to the Spod mixes. Particles are warm based which means they need some help with Xflavor to become active in cooler temps. Spod mixes are All Seasons rated which means that they become active faster in any temp. I like to use a combination of both types to extend fishing frenzy in my favorite spot without moving. Sometimes I use particle enriched groundbait to chum 1 area in advance while I fish an adjacent area to encourage mobys to spawn withing 30 minutes. Jim is right that particles are not necessary if you know how to play around with other groundbait components or don't mind moving spots every 15-30 minutes. Quote

Particles add volume and help attract fish, and using flavours like Xflavor makes them more active at low temperatures. Of course, if you are fishing in different places every 15-30 minutes, particles are not always necessary, but for long fishing sessions in one place it is a great way to keep the fish interested and continue fishing. I once looked for assignment help about this. I use the same approach, especially with particle-based baits. I also prefer to use a combination of particles and spod mixes for maximum effectiveness, especially when you want to extend your fishing session without having to constantly change locations.
