Hi, I having real trouble catching Crystal Burbot despite trying everything recommended in forums and Youtube videos. Something has changed in the game and the old methods do not seem to be working, for example, Feeder with Snow, Med Cutbait, etc, etc. I saw someone doing quite well for them the other day catching them, but as I had just started I did not ask their tactics. I am wondering if you need the Ginger bread feeder with Snow this year which you get after completing the first mission of the Christmas challenges? Something that I cannot do as I have no bait coins due to in game problems (see below)

I must admit these Crystal Burbot are a real mystery this year. Despite following all the advice I am not catching them using any of the recommendations. I am picking them up but normally on large minnows which I am using for the Antler Salmon and Furry Trout. No snow Groundbait, 1 maybe 2 a day. Most strange.

Hello, just a quick update with regard to this post. Last year the method explianed in the video above was working great but this year it was poor. I would be lucky to get 1 CB in 4 hour game time, I needed 30 more to complete the mission. I saw a guy hammering the CB and so I went and saw what he was doing. Firstly he was fishing at Dam Road and I could see that he was using Crawfish Cut rather than med cutbait. Also it appeared he was using Cookie Groundbait rather than the snow. Worked great and I was catching over 10CB in a 2 hour session. Peak day, less than 20m out and No4 or 5 Hook. Cannot say this will work next year as it appears the admin like to play around with the CB but all information is useful. I have now finished all the Christmas missions ...... 😀 but also a bit 🙁

Don't fish peak time to avoid other fish, snow in feeder and medium cut bait on 4/0 hook or large minnow on float, yes float! I put minnow out on float so that if anyone launched fireworks I could also catch furry or antler. I found that I was catching Crystal on all rods as long as I had snow in one feeder! Also found that although I was targeting crystals up against the rocks as shown in that video they could also be caught from the front of the deck in the area where you would normally fish for furry, as long as you have snow in at least one feeder.
