Jimjam
Apologies for no doubt what will be a stupid question but I’m at a loss, I recently bought a feeder rod as I wanted to try some bottom fishing (fnarr fnarr), I try not to watch too many YouTube vids as I like to try and work things out for myself but I did watch a couple as regard to getting started with a feeder rod, I got something called an allround 10’ 10’, I’m currently level 13 but I can’t remember what level it unlocked at, I’ve noticed that on mine I don’t have an option to change the line length/leader length but on the vids I watched on YouTube this was possible (not the exact same rod as mine but a feeder rod) Do some feeder rods not have this option? I’m clearly doing something stupid, can anyone help please? regards Edited May 27, 2021 by Jimjam
Musette
Definitely not a stupid question. This kind of information is not intuitive! Likely you are using a Fluorocarbon or Titanium leader. These leaders are at a static length and cannot be trimmed. A mono leader can be trimmed.

I was using a titanium one, thanks so much for taking the time to reply and helping me out bud
Thommychen
Petri Heil, what do the 3 colors on the feeder rod mean? In German is the word Zitterspitzen! There are 3 different weights given if you click on the colors individually (from white: very light; yellow: medium weight; red: approx. the maximum weight of the casting weight) Example: casting weight 20 - 79 grams (1 oz); White 28 grams (1.5 oz), Yellow 42 grams, Red: 58 grams (2 oz). PH_Carpman99
A brief snippet from a tackle shop web site (might be helpful) : THE DIFFERENT TIPS DIFFER IN WEIGHTING FOR CHANGEABLE SENSITIVITY, GIVING THE ROD GREAT VERSATILITY. RIVERS WITH A STRONG FLOW WOULD TAMPER WITH A MORE SENSITIVE TIP, SO A MORE DURABLE TIP CAN BE SWAPPED ONTO THE ROD TO MAINTAIN ROD PERFORMANCE. EQUALLY, THE SIZE OF FISH YOU ARE TARGETING WILL HAVE AN IMPACT ON THE SIZE AND WEIGHT OF THE TIP YOU CHOSE, AS A BIGGER FISH, SUCH AS CARPS OR OTHER BIGGER FISH SPECIES, WILL REQUIRE A BIGGER TIP, AND THE OPPOSITE IS TRUE WITH FOR SMALLER FISH
