Best use for Clover coins?

What's the best use for clover coins when you have completed the event? Can I buy bait with them to carry on farming baitcoins? I'm talking in the region of 300 clover coins so buying boats to sell is out of the question

I am saving mine for next year, as I did the previous year. The clover coin seems to be a constant in this annual event even though the missions do change. Banking them will likely give you a head start if new missions are introduced next year.
