manners and inappropriate behavior

So, I don't know if anyone else has had this experience, but there have been quite a few instances of male characters either acting inappropriate to my female or just a complete lack of manners. For example just yesterday, and I have video of this too, a male character was taking his pole and made extremely offensive and inappropriate "actions" with it. Of course I reported him for abuse but when you do that in game it does nothing. As a suggestion, the gamer should be removed immediately from the game. Not only was this person doing this to me but to another person as well. This kind of behavior should not be tolerated in a game. I should be able to play the game without this type of harassment!!! I also shouldn't have to go to a private room to play because of people like this in the game. Its only a screenshot of this person who was doing this but I think y'all get the idea of what he was doing!

Nah, immediately removing a gamer because someone gets offended and reports him is not the way to go. Everyone gets offended so easily these days and maybe I drive my boat too close to you or setup my stand too close to you and boom.... reported and banned.

What this guy did is sick and what I would suggest is that there should be a "block" option, which would basically make a blocked player invisible to you as if he didn't exist. Reporting players and getting them banned is not the way to go as it would be abused. I have had annoying idiots as well that try to get in your way to make fishing as difficult as possible for you because they have some sort of inferiority complex or something. Blocking them would be useful.

What he was doing was inappropriate, to be sure, but there is an option to play with in the public room without this harrasment.  Simply go to your settings and play with the characters turned off or have them on but set it up so people disappear at close range. The fact that people can see each other is for the immersion and feelsies.  It’s purely an esthetic feature which we can control. We don't need to be on a private room.  

There are a few reasons that I like to play with player models (and voice chat) off. To start, I can still chat in global with people who are in the room but don't have to deal with the noise from boats or have people standing inside or near my avatar meaning their fishing poles then can not distract or block my view. I don't have to listen to someone's mic trolling (music, noises, yelling...whatever).   I have found that some people seem to like to park their boats on top of you and when I'm fishing in a john boat, it feels like I'm being used as target practice by larger boats or those on the shore. There are a few maps that there are only a few good places to fish and a majority of the people in the room are already occupying those spots so you either have to stand on top of someone or wait until they move.

When I started out a few years back, I was nice and gave others room, minded where my pole was at and no to bother others or stand on top of them, however it only took a few months of rarely getting the same treatment in return that I changed my settings.  Now I go where I want with the characters off or if I feel like having player models turned on for immersion, I set it to turn them off at close range. You still get the feeling of fishing with others, but you don't even know anyone is around doing inappropriate things, so their trolling is completely fruitless.  You setup where you want and fish.  You could be at the peak time of day, nailing a fish on every cast while they are in a fruitless low bit point of the day. Your fishing doesn't affect their game, their game doesn't affect your fishing.  

I say just "Fish On and Tight Lines", sister.  Don't let the trolls bother you.
