CozyComic Posted April 8, 2018 Report Posted April 8, 2018 (edited) Ok so the story is I joined this group and was fishing the infinite tunnels in Florida. I was using the farcaster 8 foot 6 with the attorney 3000 p on 10lb floro. The lure I was using was the blue/black spinner bait. I was fishing on the lowest speed and slowly twitched it back. Needless to say I was fishing for bass when this monster took my lure. It took me about 10 minuets real time to bring it in. I checked the species list but noticed it should not hit a spinnerbait and you should only get them on the salty delta. I have not caught another one since and I also added picks for proof. Zanaspus Posted April 8, 2018 Report Posted April 8, 2018 If a lure or bait is not listed under a fish species, it does not mean that lure can't catch that fish. It simply means that it's not really one to use if you're targeting that species. Quote

Cool I think it's pretty awesome that you could hook into something like that out of the blue. Quote
Moderators Palavino Posted April 8, 2018 Moderators Report Posted April 8, 2018 A small percentage of fish roams around, outside the area's where you would expect them. This was probably one of those fish. Very nice catch tho! Incidently I like to use the same combination of rod and reel there as well! 1 Quote

I checked the fish facts it was right at the tail end of the normal size. The build works I do get the red arrows for largemouth and some of the peacocks. Quote
Horayforcats Posted May 9, 2018 Report Posted May 9, 2018 Hey everyone so the random fish is actually a feature of the game it happens at all fishing location and all lakes. You can catch any fish in a lake even though you normally wouldn't find it there. The main concept is that fish don't just swim in a circle all there life they move around they migrate this does mean that you can hook into some unexpected monsters on some lakes. Also the fish list doesn't list everything a fish eats it lists what it considered preferred food. I can promise you there are plenty of fish that eat stuff that isn't listed on the preferred chart. The chart just gives you a idea of what they like. I have caught catfish in Missouri with small minnows as an example while fishing for pike with the minnows. 1 Quote
Horayforcats Posted May 9, 2018 Report Posted May 9, 2018 I see how i could confuse you I mean you can catch any fish in a lake that is actually in that lake in an area you might not expect that type of fish to be. Quote
