Administrators ogrynko Posted June 6, 2018 Administrators Report Share Posted June 6, 2018 Hello, Dear Anglers! Patch 1.10 is a minor update that includes: Optimization of the inventory - now it works 2 times faster. Underwater items (details below). Complex bugfix. Chinese localization sell item window fix. While we are working on the new European waterways and lots of new fish, here is a fun update for you in the meanwhile. As Fishing Planet is aimed to give you a fully realistic fishing experience now you can catch some underwater items and creatures, just like IRL. Also underwater items are a part of a new complex feature - Mission System which will be released with the next update. In the future you will be able to use them to complete different tasks. Underwater items do not influence the probability to catch fish in any way, you might get them only after the snag. Do not miss the chance to use them to explore the underwater world of the waterways. Go and try your chances to catch one of the following items and creatures: Turtle, Crayfish and Shells, Variety types of Weed Other stuff as Boots, Plastic Bags, Sticks. We also added a possibility to catch up lost lures. You can either keep or release caught stuff (except for the creatures), if you decide to keep it, it will be visible in your inventory . Enjoy and tight lines!
Mkuhens
Downloading it now. Takes 10-12 hrs.
Mkuhens
So got it downloaded, waitwd all day to get it and try it. First cast caught a trash bag which it let me keep or gave me the option to. The next cast a smallmouth cast or two later a crayfish with the only option was to discard. So guess keeping the crayfish for bait is a big no? You can buy them for bait but not keep the ones you catch to use for bait with makes no sense.

This is a new feature with the intention of the items being caught being used for other missions etc. But it is still in development. So just admire the rubbish you caught lol. Mkuhens
It's still by far the best not only fishing game out there but one of the best games period. I enjoy it very much. Actually not much if a gamer had a ps3 mostly for watching files I would download on the PC and use a jump drive to put on the ps3. Did have the rapala fishing game for the ps3,my sons both have ps4 and was looking at fishing games and came across this game. Actually went and bought a PS 4 for myself just to download and play it. I'm literally hooked no pun intended. Awesome game.
Mkuhens
Wonder if Florida has crabs that will eat your bait? Was born and raised in Florida and where I learned to fish. Crabs would be on your bait if bottom fishing, also surprised flounder aren't in the Florida one. They are common in brackish water. Can catch a bass one cast and a flounder the next. Maybe in the near future?
PH_Cowboy Chip
admire the rubbish you caught lol. Yupers lol, that is about all we can do ATM. Interestingly enough, I still have not snagged a tire, plastic bag, or lost gear to date. But it is differently interesting ;-)
Mkuhens
I caught a rag, trash bag, crayfish, boot, backlash with loot all in Michigan while fishing for walleye off the floating dock. Also what they call drum in the Florida map we call them redfish down there. Mkuhens
Fish for the unique walleye or where it is in Michigan and you'll catch shells, boots, crayfish, backlashes with loot, rags and trash
Mkuhens
That was mostly what I did catch, didnt catch the unique walleye, fished where it normally is at the times I usually catch it and caught everything but the unique walleye
Mkuhens
They have made Michigan almost unfishable. Every cast you catch some sort of debris from the floating dock casting towards the trees. Have fished the same spot since the download trying for the unique walleye which I used to catch. Now all I get is debris and it's on just about every cast. Shells mostly. Can't even fish the area anyore it's the entire tree line basically.
Mkuhens
If anyone wants or needs a shell collection paddle to the floating dock cast towards the trees in between channel markers. You'll get a shell pretty much every cast. That's how bad it is, 18 pieces of debris, have thrown several back because it's all I have room for in my backpack in 4 hours of in game play from 8-10am 7-9pm. The new system does not interfere with the fishing process. Previously, when you got a snag or a hitch, nothing happened, after the update, there is a chance to add an underwater item when you have your lure snagged or hatched. Although your reasoning is right, the problem is, in most cases you will still catch fish after being released from a hitch. ie if i get a hitch 120 ft out. once i have been released from the snag normally i would still hook a fish between 100ft and 80ft. now if you hook a branch 120ft out you have to reel it in with no chance of catching fish. You cannot say it doesn't interfere with fishing process. And in most cases when dragging your spoon on the floor you get stuck on rocks or whatever before hooking the fish. Mkuhens
Yeah your lure just disappears and all you can do is real what ever junk you've hooked in whether it be 180,120 or 60ft out. So saying it doesn't interfere is basically a misstatment. Starting to think these competitions are rigged. By the time you fight in one splake someone has caught 2 uniques and several trophies and the competition is pretty much over 10 minutes into it. I can see someone being lucky and catching every unique and trophy in the lake here and there but it happens almost every competition. Mkuhens
So if you cast out 30 times and hit junk 160,180' out 17 times of the 30 and have to reel it all the way in how is that not interfering with the actual fishing?
Mkuhens
Speaking of dragging across the bottom most of the actual catfish I've caught in my life were caught using either live or cut bait on the bottom. You know bottom fishing. Can't do that but can catch a shell, boot or some sort of debris every other cast.
Mkuhens
Besides all of this I was using a 6" rubber worm when snagging all this debris. Not like I had an exposed hook just dragging the bottom. You ever fished with a worm or any kind of plastic in real life? You rig them to be weedless or snagless. Don't push the hook all the way through exposing it so it just glides through the water and when the hookset occurs it then breaks through. I could see if I had a spoon or some sort of treble hook dragging the bottom just dragging for debris. Had a worm and the shells I got you'd have thought I was on a scif with a set of tongs anchored over an oyster bar somewhere
Mkuhens
Something useful I did catch on the plastic worm I could use and had to discard. A crayfish which I could have kept and used for bait, I was told to discard. But I can turn around and buy them in the store to use for bait. Now I have caught crayfish, crawdads for bait in ditches, ponds and lakes and never not once have I seen them feasting on plastics of any type or kind. Mkuhens
But then again by all means please tell us how when half of your cast are wasted on reeling in junk and debris from 120-200' out and you have no chance of a fish once hooked that it doesn't interfere with your fishing or fishing time or time In general Edited June 9, 2018 by Mkuhens Misspell
WhiskerFisher
Mkuhens, pretty sure you could have said all of that in one or two posts lol. I haven't caught that much debris... like 3-4 things so far, but I also don't compete in tournies either. I doagree with though, if you catch "bait" you should be able to keep it and use it as such. But tbh, I catch way more debris irl than I do on this game. Not uncommon here to drag up a mat of weeds on nearly every cast.
Kaenis65
The game is very good more if you are a fisherman, although it has many faults and errors, but the events are a real deception, the player does not depend on himself to make good results, very strange thing, only when the game wants the results are good . They are outrageous and insult the intelligence of the players the events. If you have been in the game for a long time and have many events, your chances of playing a good role in events are much greater. You can see how your habitat, experience and playing time, are useless, even if you have a lvl 40 range 60 or 70 with more than 250 events in 4 months, you do not have many possibilities with people, with similar or inferior rank, that takes a lot more time playing, some since the beginning of the game. You see their videos and you imitate everything, but in the events they get good results usually and the others do not. In the events when the game wants to give, they get into the basket alone, when it is not your moment there is no way to hook a fish, only in a few minutes it lets you hook one. Luck does not exist online, everything is programmed with 1 and 0 and there is no place for chance. Lately I feel repulsion when I enter an event, regardless of the result I feel cheated, because I know I'm up for my merits as a player, or because it's my turn to be up and the game has left me

Fish the floating dock cast towards the trees 180-200 out and tell me what you get, shoes, shells, bell I even snagged a shell while my worm was on the way down about half way to the bottom. Worm disappeared and low and behold I reeled in some shells. Have spent 140 bait coins on added storage to keep all of it. Now I just keep the backlash with loot hoping at some point to get the loot, lures and such in it. Speaking of that anyone caught a unique largemouth on Florida using a jig,ive caught them using a popper,3ft lures crawah colored, blue and white and glow in the dark but have yet to catch on in a jig. Have tried from the Lilly peg for 8-10 actual hours of real time. Nothing yet in the competition where you can only use a jig I see people catching all kinds of uniques. Funny how that works. I've tried everything and color from 1/2 3/0 to 2 oz 6/0 and have yet to catch a unique casting to the left or the right. Hours upon hours and nothing. Any thoughts on this? I'm level 40 + 10 what ever that is. The best I've done is I placed 7th just yesterday in the chasing trout in Oregon. Have to catch a 2kg trout. Not sure what that even is in lbs but caught one. 033 over or under and finished 7th. Some caught one the exact weight. Something odd is the Florida bass challenge where you can only use a jig. I spent 8-10 reel hours yesterday and today fishing the list peg with jigs trying to catch a unique. I tried ever color weight and hook size and not one unique. Yet during the competition people reel them in left and right using only jigs. How is this possible. I have caught them on a popper, crank baits 3/0 blue and white and craw cored and using shiners but actually tried catching one so I knew where and what for the next competition and hours upon hours and nothing. That is very odd to say the least.
