Passengers on boats

Hey I have been playing fishing plent for a couple years now, and my entire time playing I’ve heard rumors of them adding passengers to boats and yet this still isn’t a thing. I think it would be so much fun to have my buddy’s fishing in my boat with me and I know there are a lot of others who think so also. So when will this feature be added to the game
