J.Mitchell WV
Legendary Chinook: I just had a couple of hours to fish yesterday. I practiced for the Salmon Clash and did the comp. Competition time was, or is, on a cloudy day from 6:00pm to 8:00pm, (45 minutes RT). While practicing for said competition, I caught 5 Legendary Chinooks. If you fish the Salmon Clash, you probably already know of this location. For me, it's just upstream of the Dolly Varden "rock". Cosmo Cast SE Rod & Reel. #4/0 X-series jig head w/4" X-series nymph. Stand perpendicular to the Dolly rock, casting maybe at a 45 degree angle to the right hand shore line. Fairly open area out between the rocks. 3 speed retrieve just enough to keep it off the bottom. I might have caught one on the X-series bullet spinner also. I switch between the nymph and spinner. Note: No legendarys caught during the actual competition. I'm sure this is just one spot, because I seen a boat load being caught while I was there. Edited July 3, 2018 by J.Mitchell WV
kdog013
I also caught 5 Legendary/Historic Chinooks yesterday. As far as I can tell, they are in place of trophys, not unis. I spawned from the cabin and went left along the shoreline all the way until you can't walk anymore. It's a 5 minute stroll in game time. When you reach the end and look at the opposite bank there is a point sticking out off to the left. Mine were all caught between that point and the first big evergreen to the right. I was using the green 1 1/2 oz single spoon. I should note you can catch a trophy without it being legendary. Tmif
Caught 14 this morning in the regular uni spot, all along the tree line. X series 5m crank at 1 speed.

Wow, nice to know there isn't a five per day limit! My brother stopped by after work today while I was struggling a bit for Rainbows in Oregon. He moved to his Rainbow spot with the 1/2 oz. #3/0 yellow/firetiger spinner and caught 7 Historic Rainbows in a row, the first 4 being on consecutive casts. I think any spot where you normally catch a lot of trophies, you will catch legendary fish.
