Dear Players,

We’ve received comments and support requests from some of you regarding bans related to Denuvo anti-cheat reports, and we understand there are concerns about the accuracy of these restrictions. Our goal is to maintain a positive community atmosphere, ensure fair gameplay, and provide safety for all our players. We want to clear up any misunderstandings about these bans in this post.

Our game utilizes the Denuvo anti-cheat system for PC players to detect the use of third-party software or other means that may subvert game mechanics and gain an unfair advantage. Such actions are strictly prohibited by our EULA. When the system detects such software, we review the activity and enforce account restrictions in accordance with our rules.

We’ve also been asked if Denuvo might falsely report developers who use their work tools while playing the game. We want to assure you that we have not encountered any false positives of this nature. Our developers regularly play the game using their tools, and we’ve also conducted extensive testing to ensure accuracy.

To maintain the integrity of our security measures, we cannot disclose specific details about the exact software it detects. However, rest assured that the system is designed specifically to identify software that interferes with game mechanics for cheating purposes. Additionally, we carefully review support requests and examine restricted accounts to ensure no mistakes were made, and every time we find proof our anti-cheat system works correctly.

We also advise against using any kind of cheating software of unknown origin downloaded from the internet, as it may not only result in a banned account in Fishing Planet but could also pose serious security risks, including malware that might compromise sensitive data such as payment information.

We hope this helps clarify things. We care about our community and want to make sure everyone feels safe and enjoys the game.

Tight lines, and thanks to all who play the game fairly!

I support you using an anti-cheat system, but for some odd reason, I am having trouble with Denuvo.  I play a lot of Steam games with various anti-cheat system, and I have problems with none of those, but Denuvo is just plain glitchy.  In order for me to play FP I have to go in and edit Windows Services every single time I try to start FP.  The problem is that Denuvo automatically disables itself every time I exit FP.  So before I start FP from Steam, I have to go in to Windows Services and edit the Properties for Denuvo and set it to Automatic. While this is not an unsurmountable problem, it is one that should not exist in this modern age of technology.  It is unreasonable for FP to be the only game that puts this level of requirement on the players that play through Steam. There are plenty of really good Anti-cheat system out there, why not use one that Windows Supports?

I'm not experiencing this problem, did you try reinstalling Denuvo or Fishing Planet itself? or

have you tried verifying Fishing Planet in Steam (Right Mouse Button click on game in Steam library, select Properties, select Installed Files then select Verify integrity of game files)

have you added Denuvo to your anti-virus allowed list?

Just suggestions, maybe you could send an email to support@fishingplanet.com with your game name, platform (Steam) and a description of the problem.
