Credits includes premium, expect around 45k credits with 220kg no premium. Bionic Slug (L46) is replaceable.

Same weight, same size, but different colours to suit the fish, water and weather conditions.

Twitching between mid and bottom, never on the bottom, reel speed 2.

Upgrade from the Loki, leader unlocked at level 52 and 53, can remove the 18.1kg leader:

Upgrade.thumb.jpg.dd9d830932d12968b9dce34ec9e37bd5.jpg

I am also using the Cat Boxer 260 and Majesty 450, Kraken 8000 at full, Hornet Swarm 6000 to score as 13kg rods.

Slot 5 is an Ardix 400 and Hornet Swarm 6000, same setup as the Loki, if you wanted my full rod builds.

1 from max drag all setups, although you can set max drag for a short time (accident allowance).

----

The bionic slug also works on other larger unique fish that can be caught on lures:

Here is an older image of a mission monster fish, in this case with the Ardix 400 and a Hornet Swarm 5000, 11.3kg fluoro main and 9.1kg fluoro leader.

Tarpon.thumb.jpg.d674f618fb22b3cb8422476d85eb38fe.jpg

Just show how far the HS 6000 (higher than HS 5000) can go against a semi-fighting fish (took about 6-8 minutes), first bait used.

I have also landed 20-30kg unique bighead and silver carp with the HS 6000.

----

Optional basic recipe for predators, not many options to be honest, looks like blood smells like fish, shrimp and shellfish.

Trout, salmon, bass and a few other predators will go for shrimp as well as fish, in terms of bait.

I use a catapult (Club, 125g) at active locations, then retrieve the lure through these locations.

The bionic slug mimics an injured fish, along with twitching its an optional bonus.

Here is a short video, start of the day, I threw out groundbait at 3 marked locations, smaller unique so a light fight:

Muskie.thumb.jpg.2557178ad3804539aaf822ea4d2db403.jpg

Maximum for a fighting fish is about 25kg with the Loki, then move onto the Zeus.

Another setup, same primary rods, Zeus 270, Cat Boxer 260, Majesty 450, all HS 6000 and all with Kraken 8000 for other fisheries. No Loki, but now a Spod.

The Zeus with the same HS 6000 reel and line as the Loki setup scores like a 12.5-13kg rod and reel setup, a small XP difference.

Spod.thumb.jpg.5c96eebc389235586fc99ba6b51a7ebb.jpg

Big River is cheaper to buy and repair compared to the Griffon Spod, only two stats matter, line capacity and line recovery.

I renamed the groundbait recipe to something more suited. Still have Ardix 400 and HS 6000 slot 4.

When using a waggler to bottom feed, set the depth to add equal to the leader, for example a 4 meter depth, set 450-425cm (4.5-4.25m).

No carp gear, same setup as given above, no pellets or boilies, but you do need salo (~1/4 of the price of boilies).

Same groundbait recipe (adjust to suit if you want) and spod listed above.

Did some testing on carp with different aromas, Fishmeal base and X flavour supreme did not really work for me, Fishmeal base and Octopus resulted in practically no young, lots of trophies and additional uniques, Fishmeal base and 56g/55g Octo/X worked best, with a even higher activity rate and more uniques.

Doing some reading I found on Google, X flavour supreme compliments krill (shrimp like).

"X Flavour Supreme in Fishing Planet is a high-performance, premium aroma used in groundbait mixes to attract Carp. It serves as a metabolic enhancer and hormonal stimulant, driving feeding frenzies even in inactive fish. It is particularly effective for catching large Carp and Uni (Unique) fish when paired with 25mm Krill or Strawberry sinkers."

When it comes to carp and sunny weather, fruity and sweet are more attractive, however the above recipe is fully all seasons, originally I made it for predators.

----

Its possible to use a sunny mix and curd dough, I did test curd dough and all other common baits, no groundbait, curd dough results where much better (a lot more trophies).

----

I would buy carp gear, just to use boilies, but no barbless option available, and I doubt I will ever use it after Weeping Willows.

So, while curd dough is level 48, it like the lesser common baits does not seem to catch uniques much, I did see banana bread common bait at level 71.

There is also some fruits that by might work, none of which I have unlocked yet. For sunny you might need to experiment a bit, for farming curd is fine.

You can also use a #8/0 hook if you want to reduce the number of young wasting bait, although catch rate changes in relation (size filter).

----

Cloudy day, started at 11am - 12pm. Another triple run, last rod. Level 53, I now have the 400kg keepnet and 20kg 0.5m fluoro leader (and main line).

Renamed the Curd recipe to Fruit Punch Pro, you can carry on using Salo on sunny days and simply swap mixes if you can't be bothered to experiment.

I have read corn with a large enough hook can attract uniques (#14/0) but its an old post, and almost a silly idea (might be patched).

3/4 of the way to level 54, so I wont bother experimenting with sunny days and main baits.

Fluoro is brilliant until at night, when you cant see it and cant follow the fish to zig zag box it, nevermind. My free 3 days premium also ran out (daily spin).

As expected the Bionic Slug does well catching a variety of fish, shame that Blue Crab Island is mostly night fishing, and limited day fishing.

Good thing I have a Lynx with fish finder, no you don't need a bass boat just to save you 10-15 seconds travel, 45 kmph is more than enough.

I will post back soon hopefully with a Unique.

I will guess the Lure Master Pro recipe is indeed doing what I want, also 400kg in BCI is equivalent to 200kg elsewhere.

I suggest a 24kg setup, perhaps a bit more, they can get bigger than 56kg. ~200kg in 2 game hours.

You can also spin, but you might not be able to reel in much before 1 of 3 rods goes off, lol.

Setup in the images is the Cat Boxer 260, and Kraken 8000.

----

19.65 / 12 (segments), x 11 = 18kg of drag, the fish was just over 3x the size of the drag used.

As you probably noticed I am running, Zeus 270, Cat Boxer 260, and 2x Majesty 450, all armed with Kraken 8000, and 20kg Fluoro main line and leader.

If you more serious about Tarpon, I suggest a setup that gives you 24kg usable drag, ideally using fluoro (find the right line, then rod-reel to match).

Reel max drag / (divided) by number of segments (lets say 12), x (times) Y, (lets say 11) = reel drag (18kg in this case).

24kg usable drag x3 = 72 kg. Based on 18kg x 3 = 54kg (was a 55.709kg fish), this 'should' be correct.

Ideally the reel max drag (at full) should be just under the line (can still break if used wrong), ignore the UI warning.

Tarpon.png

----

The Zeus, Majesty and Ardix are mod fast action, and can work well at lower reel recovery speeds (90cm for the HS 6000).

The Cat Boxer is moderate, and can recoil more than you can recover with larger fish, ideally it needs 107cm+.

Final note, in terms of tackle modifier XP, you can use a rod to its minimum line, and a reel to suit (as above), on smaller fish.

====

Thetis 250 (another God rod, I guess the appearance is based on the Ashen Spear) + Leviathan 9000. Plus, Heavy Chaser 300, 2x Majesty 350 (same reels).

+4.18kg usable drag, the reel is slightly over the main test, but this also makes the game happy (lol), 24.2 / 12, x 11 = 22.18kg.
