Game is suddenly unplayable?

Not exactly sure what happened, but something is up with the latest release.  The game has recently been having a ton of connection issues, but the connection issues are so bad they're actually affecting my router.  Like if I play the game, I've had to restart my router.  My rig is plenty powerful to play the game, but something is going on with the networking side of the game.

I had the same problem recently. The poor connection icon in the top left kept flashing the entire time, and I experienced extreme lag as well as connection drops. However, for the past few days, everything has been running exactly as it should—without any issues. Platform: PS5.
