Why not make a dlc for x series stuff that would also generate money or put in shop?

And what the purpose of selling x-series? You need to earn them. But we are working on to add more ways to get it and replenish if you loose it.

Does the X-Series tackle have any effect on the catch rate in the game, such as would I catch more fish if using let's say a 4/0 X-Series hook?

You're not exactly right. It does not affect bite rate but affects attack speed. So you will have a shadow of advantage  But really small.

 I thought I saw something about it when they were first introduced to the game, but wasn't exactly sure about it. Thank you for replying

As stated by Killerwhale the X-Series do give a very slight advantage and why not? They were meant to give that slight advantage. Providing different ways to get them and replace them if you lose them are being worked on as he said.

Your not getting what my point, sorry. I realize they give an advantage for a reason but when The Man comes and promises numbers and you never get them, you wonder why. Im trying to get us those numbers
