Missouri fishcat event

I came in missouri 10 minutes before the Fishcat event start and I decided to fish for a couple of minutes. After those 10 minute passed I decided to enter the event but I couldn't, button remained grey si I had to leave missouri and I had to come back to enter the event. So basically I spent 1800 credits for nothing.

How long did wait?

Some of the competitions I have entered have taken up to two or three minutes after start, before the 'enter' button becomes active.

I waited a couple pf minutes. it was my second event and the first to enter from the beginning.
