The game keeps "quitting unexpectedly" on my mac

I don't know what keeps happening, but the window closes after it repeatedly asks me to choose my character and graphics. I've tried running the game on the lowest graphic and size settings there are and it's still not working. I'd like someone to help figure out a way to get this game to run, because on days that are stormy, when I can't fish, I like to use this, but it's not working properly.
