William McGowan Posted September 27, 2017 Report Posted September 27, 2017 Hi! New to the game and really like it...but I find the UI on the PS4 quite confusing. It took me 2 days to figure out how to navigate the Inventory screen! I notice on the PC control diagram there is a way to set reel speed. How do you do it on the PS4? I have been searching this site and the web for a PS4 controller map for this game unsuccessfully. Does anyone know where I could find one? Thanks! Quote
TC915 Posted September 27, 2017 Report Posted September 27, 2017 (edited) You can set drag on reel, press left or right on d-pad. The "hook/question" icon at top right on menu bar brings up tutorials & holding the "option" button at waterway will bring up ps4 controller diagram. *lol oh yea Violentvole is correct, up & down on d-pad changes speed. Violentvole Posted September 27, 2017 Report Posted September 27, 2017 Up or down on D pad to change reel speed. 4 forward speeds and you can backwind. Quote
William McGowan Posted September 27, 2017 Author Report Posted September 27, 2017 Thank you both! That really helps! Quote

William McGowan Posted September 27, 2017 Author Report Posted September 27, 2017 Just got a new rod and a case. When I try and change setups the hand icon won't move and i go back to fish and the old setup is still equipped? I do select the rod #2 with the dpad-but it doesnt change in game? Quote

If you hold in your L1 button, you can switch rods quicker, just like holding R1 for bait switching Edited September 27, 2017 by Dwyte Trying to be more helpful Quote
William McGowan Posted September 27, 2017 Author Report Posted September 27, 2017 Great! didn't know that either! Thanks! Quote

Violentvole Posted September 27, 2017 Report Posted September 27, 2017 (edited) Just to add seeing as Dwyte beat me to the last answer, if you hold R1 you can change lure/bait without having to go to inventory. Give it a second until it cycles to your current lure. Hold, not press. Scroll up or down and release R1 on the lure/bait you want. Edit: Aw hell, just saw Dwyte covered that too lol. Ah well, better people replying and helping than being stuck up elitists I guess ;-) Edited September 27, 2017 by Violentvole Vole is a blind idiot Quote
Icerunner45 Posted September 28, 2017 Report Posted September 28, 2017 Hit start, use R1/L1 to navigate to one of the far right menus. There is a full PS4 controller diagram. Quote

ghosttprs1 Posted January 4, 2018 Report Posted January 4, 2018 (edited) Can someone please help me with the controller layout? Sorry for the silly question, but I have tried to figure this out and I want to purchase the one year subscription but I can’t figure out how to do anything but just walk around lol. Tmif Posted January 4, 2018 Report Posted January 4, 2018 (edited) Does the rod appear as you approach the water? What area are you at? Edited January 4, 2018 by Tmif Quote
