In-Game Audio Chat

Good morning devs!

I notice a volume slider in the settings menu for chat, and it got me to wondering if there is audio chat available so that players can discuss strategy, etc., rather than typing?

For friends you have on your PS4 you can make a party chat in the background and talk during a session but is an in-game chat a feature that I’ve just failed to figure out so we can discuss the fishing with others in our location?

This feature is currently not available in the game, you have to communicate through the chat or use a 3rd party software (Discord, TS, Skype etc).

On PS4, so the only alternative is the party function. This function would have been helpful for helping newer members of the FP community - typing on the PS4 is a cumbersome process. Am I misreading the chat  volume slider - was at some point there an intention for embedded audio chat?
