This species prefers large bodies of slow or standing water and soft, vegetative sediments. As carp are schooling fish, they usually stay in groups of five or more. Carp can grow to a maximum length of 120 centimetres (47 in), a maximum weight of over 40 kilograms (88 lb). But on average are about 40-80 cm (15-30 in) and 2-14 kg (4-30 lbs). Kilgar Posted October 17, 2017 Report Posted October 17, 2017 i have been trying to catch the common size carp in north carolina 4 about 3 or 4 real days and someone said that fish size might of been taken out of the river. would like to know if that is true. thx Quote
