ondry Posted October 3, 2017 Report Posted October 3, 2017 Oscar Oscar (Astronotus Ocellatus) is a species of fish from the cichlid family native to South America that has been introduced to other areas, including the United States. This fish typically prefers slow-moving white-water habitats, and can often be found under submerged branches. Fish of this species are usually darkly coloured with yellow-ringed spots on their dorsal fin. Oscar usually weigh around 0.2 to 0.5 kg, but have been reported to sometimes grow to 1 kg (2 lb).
